Week 7 - Little Black Dress Low Carb Bootcamp - Only 4 weeks left!

Confess all here

I see some have already been to check in this morning - fab!

So how are you all doing? I'm sensing that there's been a bit of wibbling and wobbling going on (present company included) so maybe it's time to have a couple of super strict weeks?

Given that the party season will soon be underway, a couple of Bootcamp weeks should consolidate our losses and hopefully get a few more of those pesky pounds out of the way.

Morning all. Weighed today and still 9 2 despite enormous quanitites of food yesterday. Hurray! Love this WOE.

Alpro yog, berocca, pint of water, DTWLFM.

In office today, yawn.

Hope you feel better soon BIWI, poor you on your feet all day. Sad

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 16/11/2012 09:55

last nights dinner was bloody amazing. I think I did very well.

soup was delicious, main was superb and pudding was pavlova - I ate the cream and berries and a tiny bit of meringue. Didnt drink any wine, had fizzy sugar free soft drinks.

Woke up this morning absolutely starving - which means I have probably scoffed more sugary food than I thought.

Off to make scrambled eggs

butterfliesinmytummy · 16/11/2012 10:30

Had an amazing steak for lunch with bearnaise sauce and lots of green salad with blue cheese dressing. Just made chocolate truffles (85% choc, cream and tia Maria) and watercress soup (chicken broth, watercress and swirl of cream) for the weekend .... On a roll. Finally got hold of slimline tonic so having a glass of that with Plymouth gin, good start to the weekend.

Doshusallie · 16/11/2012 10:57

butterflies - jealous that you are in weekend mode already - I have 2 scary client conference calls to go before I can get in the mood.

butterfliesinmytummy · 16/11/2012 11:02

Yes it's 7pm here .... But i'll be up in 12 hours Smile

Doshusallie · 16/11/2012 14:27

Lunch was rocket salad, cucumber, boiled egg, tuna, chunk of cheese, roasted veg, mayo, coleslaw.

Ilovemyteddy · 16/11/2012 15:15

Hope all the poorly peeps get better soon Thanks

Whoop whoop to Hurricanewyn and MrsHP for breaking another milestone. I was under 160lb this morning - the 140s are inching closer...

Did any of you see that John Briffa is doing the one day MN Academy course that was postponed in October? It's now on 27th January - location to be announced. £99 so a bit pricy, but I'd love to go, just to give him a great big hug and thank him for changing my life. I saw an article by him in one of the Sunday papers just after Christmas last year, and that's what started me on this WOE. And you lot (especially BIWI) have kept me going. If I'm reasonably good between now and 27th Jan (and ignoring the mini stollen bite that was my brekkie this morning!) I could be down to my target weight.

Anyone else up for going on the course - once we know where it is taking place?

SingingTunelessly · 16/11/2012 15:34

Teddy I am definitely interested in attending but again it's a Sunday and if they decide on Central London then I can't get there due to train service being fairly dire.

Hope everyone who is feeling grim gets better very soon.

I haven't eaten yet today. Shock. Just not hungry at all. Two cups of coffee and 2ltrs of water so far. Have pancetta wrapped salmon planned for dinner and am sat here thinking 'yuck'. Most odd.

Ilovemyteddy · 16/11/2012 15:40

I hadn't realised it was a Sunday - bugger. I have the same issues with the PITA train service on a Sunday. Still want to go though...

SingingTunelessly · 16/11/2012 15:58

I've emailed to ask them Teddy but bet it will be Central London.

BIWI · 16/11/2012 16:08

I hope to go, ilovemyteddy - but there's a possibility I may be in Japan (work) then, which would be a great shame.

I did relay to PatrickMumsnet the issue about trains from last time, but it doesn't look like that has changed anything Hmm

Ilovemyteddy · 16/11/2012 16:17

It would probably be quicker to get to Japan than to central London on a Sunday - maybe we should ask them to move the venue to Tokyo Grin

If I can get 5 people to sign up for the course, PatrickMumsnet has said he will give me 50% off my ticket!

So, I'm thinking, 50% of £99 would buy a couple of bottles of Champagne, which - we all know - is very low carb. Who's in? Grin

I'm in once we know where it is. It's my birthday in January so I may ask DH to buy me the ticket as a b'day present. And possibly a hotel room for the Saturday night if it's in London.

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 16/11/2012 17:26

Hi all,

Thanks so much for the lovely messages on Tuesday, I read them and they help. I did fall into cake and shortbread and mini oatcakes on tuesday as was so stressed. But back on the plan now. Won't go into details but there is a funeral next week so I may be AWOL from the thread for a few days then too.

I know, I'll come to London, stay in a lush hotel, read a book in a hot bath while drinking the champers, and wait for y'all to tell me all about it!! Wink

WillieWaggledagger · 16/11/2012 18:04

Oh no toomuch, hope next week goes as well as can be expected

WillieWaggledagger · 16/11/2012 18:05

Just had early supper and polished off huge steak with broccoli, all smothered in butter

and I ate all the fat off the meat and it was quite nice

BIWI · 16/11/2012 18:44

Sorry to hear that, toomuch Sad

I could offer to put two of you up - have two spare rooms - but won't be able to make the offer concrete until I know if I'm going to be away. I'm not sure DH would be too happy if I invited two complete strangers to stay and then buggered off to leave him in charge Grin

BIWI · 16/11/2012 18:45

Apparently, for those who have timing/train issues, PatrickMumsnet says that they can push the start time back a bit - would that help?

captainmummy · 16/11/2012 18:47

Oooh Ilove - Its my birthday in sunny January as well!
Hope your week goes ok toomuch

Am really Envy at Japan for work!

Breakfast - 2 scrambled eggs w cream
Lunch - prawns cooked in butter and garlic/chili on lettuce with mayo and lemon oil
Dinner - shepherds pie made with quorn and topped with butter-mashed swede, broccoli.

Going to mums tomorrow for her birthday, she'll do Oxtail stew, Will avoid potatoes, and just eat the veg, but there will be cake I expect.

SingingTunelessly · 16/11/2012 19:01

BIWI a later start time would be better. I'll PM you save clogging up the thread with my travel woes.

Ilovemyteddy · 16/11/2012 19:06

Later start would be good for me too.

EwanHoozami · 16/11/2012 19:14

The Briffa course (and champagne!) is sorely tempting but no can do at the mo. If I think of a super-clever question I might have to get one of you to ask it for me Grin

I'm due on and retaining more water than the Hoover dam. Children in Need and a bowl of roast chilli broccoli and feta for me.

At least I probably won't get drunk, cry at the VTs of the kids and donate too much money like last year Blush

EwanHoozami · 16/11/2012 19:37

Ah shit it, I'm bawling already. Fecking hormones.
