We managed to fill the thread before the end of the week, so I'm starting the next one.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Wonderfulness for you to record your weight tomorrow

That's really interesting Ewan

You can see it if you buy vintage women's clothing: the sizing is miniscule.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 10/10/2012 19:29

Right, I am not happy.

I admit, my scales are cheapy and not digital, and I know we're meant to weigh first thing, etc. etc. But I hopped on just now and I was ten and a half stone! Angry Even allowing for a bit of inaccuracy, how the heck have I gained 7 pounds since I weighed myself this morning? Sad

I have had:

B - black coffee and yoghurt
L - beef mince baked with aubergine and mozarella on top, with lettuce leaves
D - leftovers of same, with broccoli and cauliflower.

Now I will admit the beef mousakka-y thing was delicious and I was incredibly greedy and it was a huge portion both times.

But, but ... Sad

Tell me it's all temporary and fluctuations when you start are normal?

Boobz · 10/10/2012 19:29

MrsHercule - thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I'm on low carb rather than no carb too, but have to weigh everything. As a small female, the amount I'm allowed isn't very much at all! For example me and DH had steak and salad and spinach the other night. The salad was fine and I was allowed a decent amount of spinach, but only 2oz of steak. 2oz! Dh, being a 6'4 male, was allowd 5oz. We normally both eat 8oz steaks at restaurants, so you can imagine how small 2oz is! I ate it in 2 bites!

Oh well, I know it's for my own good - have lost over 2kg in 10 days.. onwards!

HumphreyCobbler · 10/10/2012 19:30

I hope your DD feels better tomorrow butterflyexperience.

Am still feeling rather thin but apparently my breath is VILE. Well DH says so anyway.

I can't get over how quickly the weight is dropping off (I am going by clothes as I don't weigh) now I have given up dairy. I am envious of those who are losing AND eating cheese though!

butterflyexperience · 10/10/2012 19:31

Dragon - It might be water weight from the day.
Go to bed, wake up, go loo and then weigh yourself

LRDtheFeministDragon · 10/10/2012 19:32

I hope so. And I will do, thanks. Smile

Still dead fed up, though.

butterflyexperience · 10/10/2012 19:33

Thanks Cobbler :)
And if your breath/wee smell it's becuase your in Ketosis and your burning fat!
Hurrahhh!

Boobz · 10/10/2012 19:34

You need new scales LRD.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 10/10/2012 19:35

I know. I've been putting it off for about three years.

Recommendations? Something decent but not too pricey?

They'd never weigh this far off, though.

WineGless · 10/10/2012 19:39

LRD one litre of water weighs 2lbs

DON'T PANIC!

LRDtheFeministDragon · 10/10/2012 19:41

Thank you. Ok, I am beginning to see how it could add up. Funny, I always thought I drank quite a lot of water before, but obviously not.

Sorry to be a downer.

I'll be pollyanna tomorrow.

butterflyexperience · 10/10/2012 19:51

So LRD your going to be all

"Pollyanna is a diamond in the rough, passionate about presenting and technology. She?s fun, hard working and loves a challenge"

Are you now?

butterflyexperience · 10/10/2012 19:54

Just kiddin LRD...

Looking through PollyAnna's gallery on her site and no wonder why women are confused about what beauty is...

She's a pretty lady but does she have to portray herself like that to get work??
Really??

butterflyexperience · 10/10/2012 19:54

ok getting off my soap box...
Im in a crap mood today...

LRDtheFeministDragon · 10/10/2012 19:55
Grin

I'm terrified now!

I was, um, thinking about the resolutely, annoyingly positive children's story character, but whatever you say ...

Viperidae · 10/10/2012 19:56

I am struggling to get more vegetables and water into my day and not really succeeding. It is difficult for me to drink much at work and as I am large I need to drink even more according to the chart.

Not too bad today food-wise. Have eaten:
B: 2 rashers bacon and 2 eggs scrambled with a dash of cream
L: Left over chilli bake and salad
Snack: Chicken thigh
T: Prawn and avocado cocktail, pork chop with mushrooms in boursin, roasted swede cubes and broccoli (yuk!)

Best wishes to all of you who are unwell

WillieWaggledagger · 10/10/2012 19:57

LRD you could easily weigh 7lb more in the evening than the morning with the weight of food and drink

butterflyexperience · 10/10/2012 20:00

Ohhh that Pollyanna!

Ignore me...I think I'm PMTing...

Anyone know how TOM can effect this woe weight loss?

Like will I put on 5lbs in a week due to water retention?
Or will I continue to lose as normal?

butterflyexperience · 10/10/2012 20:02

I'm a bit bored and feeling lonley too..

Anyone fancy going to the pub with me for a few drinks tonight?

Doshusallie · 10/10/2012 20:03

Waves at butterfly.

Mate I'm in, I'm always in trouble for drinking on BOOTCAMP.

Problem is DH's now cooking our (low carb) tea.

Know any jokes?

butterflyexperience · 10/10/2012 20:08

The newlyweds are in their honeymoon room and the groom decides to let the bride know where she stands right from the start of the marriage.

He proceeds to take off his trousers and throw them at her. He says, "Put those on."

The bride replies, "I can't wear your trousers."

He replies, "And don't forget that! I will always wear the pants in the family!"

The bride takes off her knickers and throws them at him with the same request, "Try those on!"

He replies,"I can't get into your knickers!"

"And you never bloody will if you don't change your attitude."

WillieWaggledagger · 10/10/2012 20:08

Butterfly I think most people find their period makes them retain water for a bit but it's followed by a whoosh so it evens out. My pmt symptoms have all but gone in this woe

Viperidae · 10/10/2012 20:09

Can I just ask about ketosis? I have been doing this for 10 days but have no signs of anything happening at all - should there be?

I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong as I have had no "side-effects" at all other than a bit of light-headedness for the first 2 days or so. I did lose 5lbs last week but have about 8st to lose so, although it is a good loss, it is not huge compared to some others. Could it be portion size? Although my portions are generous they are not huge.

May be totally irrelevant but I have recently begun exercising after a lapse of many a few years.

ForSaletotheHighestBidder · 10/10/2012 20:09

LRD, I weighed myself the other day and was x weight. I then drank a half litre of water and weighed myself again. Up half a kilo. That was in the space of 5 mins. So calm down!

Not a great day today, ds had an accident, my fault, just something stupid, but spent must of the day crying and fighting panic at what could have happened (he's fine). So don't think I drank enough water, had a few snacks today after a good breakfast, but no real lunch or dinner, some cheese, cooked meat, cucumber, sorry biwi. Sad

Will be super good tomorrow, promise.

Doshusallie · 10/10/2012 20:10

Good one butterfly! Grin

Desperately tries to remember a joke...
