We've nearly grown out of the last thread here so i started the new one.

We're all doing different things but we're all here to support each other on the journey. We kick each other when we need it and offer sympathy when that's more appropriate.

Human well done again - you are one focused woman!! Very well done.
tiggy - your body is giving you the run around. Stick with it - going back to how you were before will not make you happier at all. You can see this through I am sure. A pound is nothing to worry about - I think it is just emotionally draining and the pressure gets to us. I hope you are ok?

I have lost 2pounds just....This weight loss thing is taking forever!

TheHumancatapult · 08/10/2012 07:15

Tiggy

Are you due AF or not been to the toilet a while or not drunk enough water so retaining fluid they are couple things I find that make a differance

Well done youcan

2lbs is good what mine should settle down to

And not so focused today no workout done yet normally get out way before wake the kids up but could not drag self out of bed before wake up time

FedUpOfRain · 08/10/2012 07:21

Morning, I have lost 2.5 lbs this week, quite pleased and feeling motivated to work harder.
Tiggy, do you weigh yourself at the same point each week? I went up a little mid week when I weighed during the day instead of first thing (after a wee of course Grin )

cantmakecarrotcake · 08/10/2012 07:55

Morning.

Stayed the same here. Not surprised as I've not been very motivated. I'm taking it as a plus though as it shows I'm learning the moderation needed to not gain weight.

Well done to the steady losers. The 1-2 lb is perfect to maintain a steady weight loss.

I have a week off at home with DH (DD's still going to nursery) so I expect we'll enjoy a couple of grown-up lunches out. I think staying the same again this week will be achievement enough.

Tortoise · 08/10/2012 08:01

Morning.
Some how lost 1.5lbs this week.
I should be happy about it but I haven't had a good week, I haven't eaten well and don't deserve a loss.
I want to get my head back into the place it was in week 1. When I was focused and ate healthily. But I don't know how.

tiggy114 · 08/10/2012 08:02

I hardly drink any water. Does this make a difference?

TheHumancatapult · 08/10/2012 08:09

Tortoise

Your doing something right though

Can you relook at what your reasons were and what your goals are to help you refocus maybe make yourself a smaller more achievable goal

Can't

Mine varies between 1lb and 4lb but depends on excersise . I'm doing approx 30mins a day (dialed it back the last week ) where my heart rate is raised into what they call fat burning zone which seems be the key for me mentally to .

But am also starting to play wheelchair basketball which should be fun but I admit slight advantage as the others are not wheelchair users . Where I am full time but suspect my arms will be complying along with their

TheHumancatapult · 08/10/2012 08:10

Complaining *

TheHumancatapult · 08/10/2012 08:13

Tiggy

Yes as it is believed it helps wash the fat out also your body will try to hold in to fluid if your dehydrated plus it can make you feel more tired if not drinking enough water

Ideally need to aim for 2-3 litres a day

xxxresixxx · 08/10/2012 08:39

10St 13 so no change. Not surprising as I haven't been that good... About to have some eggy bread but with fry light rather than oil so not that much different to egg on toast? Planning for a better week this week. Back at work tomorrow so ill have the temptation of biscuits :-. Must bring some snacks...

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 08/10/2012 09:26

1/2 lb loss so no real change! A bit disappointed as I only had one bad day last week. Still like carrot said I am learning about moderation. There were three types of cakes in the kitchen, left over by friends who visited on Friday, and they are still there! I have managed to co-exist in a space with cake and not eaten any! It's so difficult though.

tiggy I am drinking loads of water. Apparently the body often thinks it's hungry when it's thirsty, so drinking quenches your hunger. So whenever I feel hungry now I have a large glass of water and wait a few mins to see if I still feel hungry.

ICBINEG · 08/10/2012 09:33

hello all!

I am down 1lb to 12 st 8lb (just got under 80kg for the first time...which is yay and yet urgh in a wtf was I doing over 80 kg in the first place sort of a way).

This is a minor miracle given depression levels at the end of last week and over the weekend.

onwards and downwards gang!

ICBINEG · 08/10/2012 09:37

tiggy In spite of attempting to be upbeat about my own meagre 1lb loss the reality is that 1 or even 2lbs up or down is simply lost in the (bowel contents, water retention, AF) noise.

It maybe about salt levels....if I eat anything salty regardless of calorie content then my weight will be up around a kilo in the morning...tis all about the water retention for me....and I haven't been drinking enough either....probably pissed twice all day yesterday....

So lets vow to drink more water this week and see if it helps :)

Tortoise · 08/10/2012 10:33

Water is the only bit im good at! Only because that's all I drink (other than the occasional beer lol).

Dingle · 08/10/2012 11:25

Hi everyone. Feeling really low at the moment. I am still full of flu, my DH collapsed in the middle of the night last week and I needed to call an ambulance, now I have DD off of school with flu and a high temperature....so any lifestyle changes I had hoped for have sort of gone out of the window.

My bowel habits are awful-IBS. Blush I have never been good but recently I am not going for days and days so I really NEED to look at what I am eating and drink more fluid too. I hope to bring in a bit more exercise too, as soon as I have got over this rotten bug!

I haven't really got any set plan although I have been looking at online calorie counters in an attempt to help motivate me and make me more aware of what I am actually eating. I need to find some healthy family meals too.

Regardless of a nightmare of a week I weighed in at 10st 13 3/4lb this morning. A loss of 3lb in a week and a bit. Quite pleased with that, especially as I hadn't been to the toilet since Wednesday! BlushBlush The weight loss is probably due to the stress I have been under rather than me doing good eating though. lol

ICBINEG · 08/10/2012 12:43

dingle Oh no! Is you DH okay now? Was it the flu? So sorry to hear you are all sick!

TheHumancatapult · 08/10/2012 13:29

Single how is DH now

Hope you and dd both feel better soon

TCforTopCat · 08/10/2012 16:47

Hi, I have lost a pound this week. So progress slow but steady.

Excited to be eleven stone something instead of twelve stone somethingGrin

Goonatic · 08/10/2012 17:00

dingle what a nightmare, are you all ok?
I weighed in at three pounds heavier than last time I weighed but six pounds lighter than when we all began! So I am happy with that as it was all down to moving, having no decent food in the house and stress.....

Guess what...... I met youcanringmybell today!!!!! We were very good and didn't eat cake in the local garden centre! I can confirm that she is very lovely and not at all shouty in rl!

So that was a good incentive as I have been rubbish for a couple of weeks, so have been much better today!

Have a good evening everyone

ICBINEG · 08/10/2012 17:09

is anyone else plotting a graph of their weight?

Tortoise · 08/10/2012 17:20

Dingle Hope dh is better now.

Goon How exciting. Smile

Ok day so far today. Had one of those innocent pots, that I've seen mentioned on here, for lunch! Wasn't too bad. Got some others to try too. On offer in Tesco. Also had 2 slices of tiger bread though so thats not so good!

Youcanringmybell · 08/10/2012 17:40

Waves at goonatic

Just got back from dropping dd at Beavers. I have got a shocking headache! WW spag bol is in the microwave.

Yes goonatic and I met! Turns out we live really quite close and so we met at a garden centre. We were good...but that was down to Goon and not me Blush

Goonatic was lovely, I was very jealous of her cardigan Envy. We had a good chat about life in general and agreed that we should organise a meet up!!!

So if YOU are INTERESTED in a MEET UP please pm your area. I will skillfully plot a map and find a central location for a meet up Grin

jeansdoneupwitharubberband · 08/10/2012 17:55
