We've nearly grown out of the last thread here so i started the new one.

We're all doing different things but we're all here to support each other on the journey. We kick each other when we need it and offer sympathy when that's more appropriate.

Considers ordering from tescos

Weigh in 3 and 1/2lb this week not Bad as not a lot of official excerscise but with having loads of kids round not stopped plus felt rough over weekend So not eaten much But that puts me well into the 13 now Grin. Hoping by new year can get into the 12 something ( am 13.10 now )

TheHumancatapult · 19/11/2012 05:03

Lol tortoise

But bugger on Bad day you can do it . Think how your feel if could loose 1/2 stone by Xmas .
Ok enough putting of time for me to hit the Matt and push the excerscise for 2 weeks want get below 13.7 before go away . Not seen Frid ds for ages plus I was bundled up in baggy sweater and large coat so hoping to shock them when we all go on holiday

Youcanringmybell · 19/11/2012 07:17

Well done Human - you will unrecognisable. Well done - you are so determined I feel that you have really kept the thread ticking over!!!

tortoise I am the same as you. I have been growing complacent in recent weeks with only two good weeks out of about 5 weeks. That is not good enough at all!!! I was very good yesterday and spent the cleaning and painting. I shall continue throughout the week and up my activity level somehat to burn a bit more and will weigh on Monday. I was 179 last monday so hoping to lose whatever was gained this week (am bloated and on af) and a little more. Aim is 178 or lower and then I have reached the stone mark.

Tortoise - we must ceck in every day - it does help.

Goodluck everyone on your weight losses today!!!

Gooniechoons · 19/11/2012 07:59

Hello, I have lost 2 pounds! Hurrah. I am within touching distance of 13 stone now, at 14.1...... This week will need to be a whopper!

Tort, I lost it for a bit but have shamed myself into getting back into it when I had a massive pizza last week and it made me abut four pounds heavier Blush I think it was the salt but it was enough to make me feel really rubbish and strengthened my resolve!!!

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 19/11/2012 08:42

Congrats goon and human

I thought I had a good week but I only lost 0.2lb so still 12 st 7 and most annoyingly my BMi is still 30.1. I am so close to just being overweight. Once again goal next week is to lose a lb to tip me under.i had hoped to be in the 11s by the new year but I have realised that's only about 5 weeks away. Where did the year go?

ICBINEG · 19/11/2012 09:00

Good morning my fellow excuse-less ones!

So I am losing my marbles....I was gutted at my weigh in this morning cos I had been working so hard and it didn't look so good...but now I have converted to lbs and I am 4 lbs down to 11 st 8. Confused

I think it was the midweek weigh in showing off I did that has boggled me...

Anyway I have checked the numbers twice and the disappointing 73.65 kg really does seem to mean the rather excitingly good 11 st 8. (BMI now 24.9 and just in time for my heart check up on Thursday that I had forgotten about....)

And there is still 4 weeks (at least) till xmas...I really might get a 10 at the front by then (just trying to psych myself up!)

ICBINEG · 19/11/2012 09:08

Nice one to the losers - especially goon on a 6 lbs bounce down from last weight in! We told you it was water :)

johnny are you really 5 ft 4 inches tall?

Mathsdidi · 19/11/2012 09:19

I lost 4 lbs this week!! That's my best week since September. My bmi is now 29.98 so I have just scraped into overweight rather than obese Grin.

My aim now is to get into the 13st which is within touching distance, maybe by next week.

ICBINEG · 19/11/2012 09:39

whoop! nice one maths we are all really getting this weight loss thing done now!

tiggy114 · 19/11/2012 10:17

Well i'm shocked. Not dieted for 3 weeks but seem to have lost 1lb!!! It goes to show i can do it and what i would've lost if i'd dieted properly. So weighing in at 122 lbs. Onwards and up (no) down wards Wink

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 19/11/2012 10:19

icb well done! 4lbs at this stage is brilliant. Yes I am 5 ft 4 so you really see every lb on me.

Ooh maths jealous of you (but in a nice way). Next week I will be BMi 29.9! Might try exercise.

You both had impressive losses. Did you do anything different?

Iceaddict · 19/11/2012 11:17

I lost 5lb this week. Absolutely over joyed and spurred on. Well done to everyone else. Smile

cookieowner · 19/11/2012 11:25

hi
i lost another 1lb this week , slightly disappointing that i am only losing so little at a time !
ANyway that puts me at 12 6lb but still obese im afraid
I wasnt too good over the weekend either , felt a bit down really but am determined to be stricter with myself this week and next weekend
some of you have done so so well this week well done!

cookieowner · 19/11/2012 11:25

i meant 12st 6lb , not 126 lb (i wish!)

ICBINEG · 19/11/2012 12:23

johnny I did different to last week when there were lots of buffets and I simply couldn't control myself Blush but not different to what I have generally been doing.

I think it is possible that the weather is having a big impact. I think I have lost some serious fat (well 30 lbs worth anyway) and I really am finding that I am freezing cold a lot of the time - which should just be burning more energy!

I guess it gets harder to lose weight as you go on and your bodies energy requirements drop down, but it must be a bit easier if you are approaching winter and also if you get more active because the lower body mass lets you. I have also been finding I am a lot more active when participating in sport because my knees have stopped hurting all the time. I also don't think twice about running up and down the stairs for stuff at home (live on 3 different floors) whereas I used to spend a lot of time calculating how to minimise the amount of floor changes I had to do to get stuff done Blush....

Youcanringmybell · 19/11/2012 12:25

well done ALL OF YOU!

You are all seeing your target coming closer and closer so well done to you all!! YOu really are making good progress .

FedUpOfRain · 19/11/2012 12:49

I have lost 2.5 lbs this week, I'm very pleased especially as I've had my period and I managed to be good. I'm aiming for a total 2 stone loss by mid december which I think is achievable.

Well done everyone who's lost!!

Tortoise · 19/11/2012 13:45

Back up to 16st AngrySad

TheHumancatapult · 19/11/2012 14:27

You can push it maybe try for more hid days than bad in the week and take from there

Still got way to go but like fact I'm nearer my goal weight than my start weight I need loose another 12lb that will take me to a 100lb loss that's my goal for new year allows hiccups if needs for holiday and Xmas day ( though staying home and since kids not like roast it's pizza for younger two and a curry for older ones lot less stressfull

Icb yup I'm feeling the cold lot more this year even considering thermals

TheHumancatapult · 19/11/2012 14:45

Tortoise Ot will happen took me about 12 years to do it like this would loose a stone put on 1 and 1/2

Can you pinpoint when your toughest time is ( mine is evening so been in bed early as to much effort get up

dancinginthemoonlight · 19/11/2012 15:36

Put on 5lb but don't think I've processed the sheer volume of food this weekend.. Planning to be better and shed it this week (although 4 biscuits at playgroup wasn't the best start)

Youcanringmybell · 19/11/2012 17:08

Tortoise - this is a long journey. There are going to be ups and downs for us all. But You are more aware than ever about your weight. Is it possible for you to join a group? It may be that you need some personal support.

I am of course gero. I have been very very silly this past week. But you can and will do it. Pound by pound by pound. Of course...some peopl grow to love themselves exactly the way they are. And there is nothing wrong with that either. I often wonder who i am losing weight for sometimes.

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 19/11/2012 17:50

Hi tortoise

Not sure if you log what you eat, but I have found myfitnesspal invaluable. It is sometimes embarrassing to put down what I have eaten but I have learnt so much about what i'm consuming. For example I realised I ws sometimes having 1000 calories a week of cappuccinos I swapped them for herbal tea and black coffee and can now eat a takeaway a week so I can use my calories for something that fills me up.

I've said before I find it ridiculous that I completely lost the ability to read what my body wanted. I had to eat all food on a plate (still find it hard to stop when I'm full) and I think I went about five years without ever being hungry because I would just graze all the time, often healthy food but just tons of it.

So I think I'm trying to say it will take a long time to change your behaviour but if you keep at it the results will be worth it, and we all want you to succeed. Hugs.

TheHumancatapult · 19/11/2012 18:32
