We've nearly grown out of the last thread here so i started the new one.

We're all doing different things but we're all here to support each other on the journey. We kick each other when we need it and offer sympathy when that's more appropriate.

I have just caught up but cannot get away from 'cock soup' I don't know if I want some or not!!!!

Tortoise · 17/11/2012 23:15

I've not had a great day today. Got another bloody cold and i'm in snacking mode Sad.
Probably ruined all the good i've done this week!

I can't find cock soup on the tesco website! I had to look!

Had to buy a new pair of jeans in size 20. Bought a few 18s on Ebay but none fit properly. Good job i did get a pair, my old ones split across the thigh yesterday!

Mathsdidi · 17/11/2012 23:26

I did wonder if I would want to eat 'cock soup' too, then decided that actually no I wouldn't.

My new jeans are very comfortable and fit rather nicely but I was not happy about the size of them. I won't be in them for too long though, I'm intending to have shrunk out of them by Christmas. I have some size 16s that I can do up but they give me a massive muffin top so I need to lose a bit more weight before I could wear them out in public.

It's such a pain when clothes break isn't it tortoise. I hate clothes shopping with a passion.

TheHumancatapult · 18/11/2012 04:03

Hi Tigerlilly

We tend to weigh in Monday or whenever in routine it is and post Monday . We are all pretty much doing our own things diet wise but all looking at it long term and changing how we view food

Also supporting each other while making life changes and when we fall into chocolate

I have just under 4 stone to loose now

Tortoise

keep at it and every few weeks try then 18s on it motivates seeing them getting nearer

Maths

Keep going same as tortoise try them on regular

Wanders of to look for cock soup , retches ok maybe not something has disagreed with me had stomach cramps all night

TheHumancatapult · 18/11/2012 04:10

Tortoise also remember 18 from EBay may been in tumble dryer which shrinks then so not true size

Youcanringmybell · 18/11/2012 07:58

Morning all - welcome tiger!! You are in the right place for suppport...weigh in Monday's.Some of us sometimes decline a weigh in if we have had a particularly busy/ stressful week or if on period etc

This week I have had all three so am not weighing again tomorrow BUT I have been shopping and armed myself with the goods to lose weight this week!

So today is a new day. I feel a bit more optimistic and you can too Tiger. We make as many changes as possible and we NEVER GIVE UP. If you have a bad meal/ day/ week we pick ourselves up and battle on. We are all chipping away at the weight bit by bit. I am 13lbs down. Slow but achievable for me because that has allowed for a few days off here and there Blush

Goodluck all for the weigh in tomorrow xxx

Gooniechoons · 18/11/2012 12:21

Hello! It's me still! Haha cock soup, still thinking about that. It reminds of a year we did secret Santa at school and I bought pasta willies, and the most pompous, pseudo posh, pious dinner lady got them and told me she was 'very disappointed' I did laugh y head off, but not to her face obv.

I am HOPING, finally to see a loss tomorrow. Fingers crossed, I think I might eat nothing today just to make sure!

dancinginthemoonlight · 18/11/2012 12:56

I'm here human. Was resi in a previous name life :-). Just back from a girlie weekend so,not expecting a loss tomorrow. Had a fab time tho!

Iceaddict · 18/11/2012 13:25

tiggy114 · 18/11/2012 17:13

Gooniechoons · 18/11/2012 17:37

It has gone down in history! As have the 'this is BULLSHIT' and 'crap' stampers
I bought the head....... I am hoping to better it this year!

FightingTheMess · 18/11/2012 18:06

Hello everyone,

may I join you please? I would like to lose some weight. I have always struggled a bit but the last few months have been horrendous-DP and I moved across country, I lost my job (after having a really bad time with loads of binge eating and crying) and have now started my PGCE, so I am in schools and at uni. Unfortunately due to other commitments it takes me 2 hours to get to my school at the moment so I get up at 5 every day and am usually at home some time between 7 and 8. SO yeah, no excuses but I have simply not done a lot of exercise and I felt constantly shattered.

I am definitely eating out of frustration at times and am binge eating a lot. The other day I bought 12 doughnuts and I think DP only got 2 of them :( I am really embarrassed but I somehow feel like I just can't stop!

I am developing a belly and am starting not to fit into my clothes anymore. Even skirts I only bought in May are now too tight. It's ridiculous.

I am not sure how much I weigh as I must have lost my scales in the move (convenient!) but I know it's becoming more and more.

ICBINEG · 18/11/2012 19:08

Hi fighting well you sound like one of us anyway! Lots of us have emotional dependencies with food....

Feel free to join in with tomorrow's weigh in!

FightingTheMess · 18/11/2012 19:43

Hello ICBINEG Smile

I cant' join the weigh in as I don't have scales yet unfortunately. I will just have to suck it up and buy new ones I think. I don't think I am overweight yet but I should be somewhere around 73kg at 170, so really borderline. So I'd rather take care of this now, especially as I must be super unhealthy even if not officially classed as overweight. The amount of junk food I am eating can't be good for my body and it's all soft by now, no tone at all.

Do you do weigh ins every Monday?

FightingTheMess · 18/11/2012 19:50

Oh my just checked the BMI and if I am at 73kg (Which I must be considering how much I have gained, measured on my clothes), I am officially overweight. Sad

dancinginthemoonlight · 18/11/2012 20:16

so i have a lovely dh but he REALLY does not help my dieting!!! After sending me off for the weekend with my friends (much alcohol and naughty food), he has cooked a HUGE chicken, ham and leek pie Hmm.

I think im going to have to find some serious exercise to do this week...

Gooniechoons · 18/11/2012 21:19

My poor kids this week, I have walked them everywhere, rain or shine in an attempt to burn up calories. I need to work out how far away I am from school I reckon it is over a mile. There and back twice a day with a bit inbetween is good! Am drinking wine with DH tonight so am being naughty but still ever hopeful! See you all in the morning!

TheHumancatapult · 18/11/2012 21:24

Hi fighting
Sounds like lot of changes in short time but just take kne day at a time

Yes I weigh in on a Monday normally pretty early

Dancing sounds like a good weekend though

As of tomorrow I'm back on the excerscise for the next two weeks till go away . Then will drop it while away but will be in the pool q lot with kiddy but probably not much proper swimming . Will play it by ear whether stick to diet when away

Youcanringmybell · 18/11/2012 21:24

A treat for you all
www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=259346827
It was sent to me as a substitution. Surprisingly vair tasty...
or is that because my husband has been away so long Wink

ICBINEG · 18/11/2012 21:26

hmm I was thinking of starting swimming...I go with DD but that barely counts as exercise.

I might have the same problem I have with jogging though....it seems an awful lot of hassle to get ready for it and then be knacked after 10 mins max.
