Well, week 15 of Bootcamp has just ended. But the support and banter will continue! I, for one, am carrying on for the next couple of weeks until my holiday, in the hope that I can drop another pound or so before I go.

There have been some brilliant losses in the last two weeks, so I'm hoping that you'll all be sticking with it too!

Morning losers!

Well done Mrs Rinky! Great stuff.

I am desperate to see if I have lost that extra 0.5lb to get me to a stone but have had bad experiences with mid week weighing. I will hold off til next monday.

SUpper last night was sausages with cabbage and leeks in butter. HEaven . BTW, Tesco Finest sausages with pork and chive are 0.1g of carbs per 100g so ideal for us. Makes a change from the toulouse ones or if you want to give them to kids etc.

Have a great day.

Ilovemyteddy · 07/08/2012 07:23

Set yourself small goals MsRinky so that the 70lb doesn't seem so daunting. Another 2.5lb and you are a quarter of the way to your target. The best thing is that you know this WOE works for you, as it does for me.

Onwards and downwards!

Ilovemyteddy · 07/08/2012 07:25

Argh! Faulty maths! You are well over a quarter of the way there Grin

emmak86 · 07/08/2012 08:05

Morning

I also have been setting myself smaller goals ( on mfp) to make the goal weight seem more achievable!

87.6 on the scales today! Woooo!

B- will be leftover chicken breast as i cant fce scrambles eggs today :/

Have a good day everyone :) x

ILoveStripeySocks · 07/08/2012 08:27

That Horizon programe last night was fascinating! Did anyone else watch it?

Badvoc · 07/08/2012 08:34

Yes it was great!
Very very interesting and very touching how pleased he was about his good results....he was obv worried about his health prior.
I am still going to low carb but am going to try his 5:2 plan too!

MrsOnYourMarksGetSetPoirot · 07/08/2012 09:36

Holiday weight starting to drop - am off again on Sat for two weeks though...

Tried eggs with Boursin this morning - has not been sure about it at all but it is amazing!

sybilfaulty · 07/08/2012 09:54

Eggs and Boursin thing is food of gods! I had tuna, cucumber and mayo this am which was great and very filling. My fave ever M and S Sandwich was egg mayo with prawn, which would fit right in with this WOE (although without the bread, obv)

AM planning to catch up on Horizon if I can get a chance today or this evening.

Thegoddessblossom · 07/08/2012 10:06

Still haven't tried eggs and boursin must buy some!

Had an early meeting this morning, what bliss to just get myself ready and waltz out the door shouting Cheerio, leaving DH to get boys breakfasted, dressed, and to camp with all their bags etc - FOR ONCE! Could seriously get used to that.

B: 1 boiled egg, a bit of greek yoghurt.

mummyduff · 07/08/2012 10:07

Morning all and well done MsRinky thats amazing and well done also to Emma.

Im off shopping so I can make the lasagne with leeks and breast of lamb with onions(though will be using shallots).

Got a really busy week now so hoping that will help keep me focused, its my birthday 4 weeks today and I would really love to be close to my goal, so I have pretty much cancelled all evenings out bar 2 Smile

Thegoddessblossom · 07/08/2012 10:15

STS this morning - 9 2. Wonder if I will see a 9 1 or even 9 dead before I go away.

NigellasGuest · 07/08/2012 10:19

breakfast was mashed celeriac fried with butter, double cream and mushrooms .

I am now aiming to lose a final half stone.

Shirazyum · 07/08/2012 10:58

Hi all. I have read briffa and have occasionally lurked here on the boot camp threads. I am slowing getting up the courage to go or it. Would anyone be kind enough to send me the info, the rules, list if veg, meal plans erc? I have gone back through some threads but cannot find them. Or links to the right posts if someone has them saved would be great. I have three stone to lose for health stuff but am five stone over wedding wright! Aiming for four. Bloody hell putting that out there makes it sound so hard.

SingingTunelessly · 07/08/2012 11:19

Welcome Shiraz. Smile BIWI's post on here on 31 July sets out the rules for Bootcamp and Bootcamp Lite. To give you an idea, when I first started this woe breakfast was something like 3 egg omelet/bacon, eggs and mushrooms (fried in butter - important!), lunch fish, salad with mayo and dinner lamb chops, buttery cabbage/spinach/courgettes. At least 3lts of water a day.

The others will be along soon with their helpful ideas. We're all lovely on this thread . Grin

Thegoddessblossom · 07/08/2012 12:40

Lunch: salad leaves, roasted courgette, boiled egg, cold meats, chunk of brie, coleslaw, cucumber, added mayo.

Have drunk 2 litres of water so far today.

NigellasGuest · 07/08/2012 13:04

welcome to Shiraz! Smile

NigellasGuest · 07/08/2012 13:05

... and does anyone have any anti-bloating tips please? Thanks

vnmum · 07/08/2012 13:12

ok I remembered to weigh in this morning. Gained 3/4lb but it has been TOTM. Can someone link to the new spreadsheet please? I can't seem to find it.

I recorded the horizon program last night so hopefully will watch later today.

No breakfast - too busy cleaning
L- tuna mayo, tandoori chicken thigh with crispy skin and half an avocado
T- salmon with salad

need to drink more though so going to make a conscious effort to get 3 litres in today. Only had my first drink at 12.

vnmum · 07/08/2012 14:25

thanks mummyduff

hazchem · 07/08/2012 14:36

ilove and badvoc I found it really interesting. Some of it was a little scary too.

I don't think I am quite ready to try fasting yet but I can see it might be a good way to both lose weight but also might be useful in maintenance. Part of me wants to try it now as I only have about 5-7kilos to lose but I'm breastfeeding and think it's probably not a good idea to fast while breastfeeding.

My partner is Muslin so fast once a year and he said he could identify with it and in fact the koran says it's good to fast on Mondays and Thursdays but not required. My partner also thought going for 4 days without eating at all would be really really hard.

Think I might be getting my fat portions about right as today I had breakfast at 8am and then lunch at 1:30 with only 1 square of dark choc and a black coffee in between. I didn't even "taste" DS luxury fruit bread in Starbucks. [Halo]

ILoveStripeySocks · 07/08/2012 14:36

Nigella, I wish I did! :(

ILoveStripeySocks · 07/08/2012 14:38

I have to say, the 5:2 fasting is really appealing Blush I am going to keep low carbing til I see how the others in the fasting thread get on.

Shirazyum · 07/08/2012 14:41

Fab! I am sure a saw a list of veg somewhere during my lurking. Any pointers?

I have also made appt for stop smoking clinic tomorrow. This is going to be big!

I am going shopping later. Does anyone have a link to a weeks meal plans I could use to buy the right things? I realise that the aim is not to slavishly follow meal plans but to eat what is wanted/needed. I just want to start with the right kind if stuff in the fridge and cupboard. I have a family so am looking for stuff we can all eat together by just adding pasta/potatoes etc to their meals. Think husband might reduce carbs too but we shall see. Giving up wine is going to be the biggest challenge, shortly followed by endless cups of tea with milk. Any hints nudges about what to read for alternatives (or distractions!) will be gratefully received.

mummyduff · 07/08/2012 15:04

VNmum Im not 100% and I'm sure someone will correct me if wrong, but re bloating, I'm sure I read if you increase water and green veg it helps.

I have just made LC lasagne with strips of courgette and grated cheese instead of pasta and cheese sauce, its yummy!

With regards top meals shiraz I just buy lots of cuts of meat like belly of pork, chicken, lamb and roast them, I have just the green veg and I add a few potatoes for my clanSmile I am also getting alot of fish and salad.

I have never given up wine completely just cut down, and I still have 2 cups of coffee a day with a little full fat milk x
