Well, week 15 of Bootcamp has just ended. But the support and banter will continue! I, for one, am carrying on for the next couple of weeks until my holiday, in the hope that I can drop another pound or so before I go.

There have been some brilliant losses in the last two weeks, so I'm hoping that you'll all be sticking with it too!

Hazchem me neither but I think it's the migraine from yesterday.
I have had:
Scrambled eggs and bacon
Thick carved ham and salad
Courgette ribbons, passata and meatballs.
Not hungry exactly but would like something to munch on iyswim?
Planning a swim tomorrow!

emmak86 · 04/08/2012 18:13

Evening Smile

Like hazchem ive also been and stocked up in aldis today!!

B- was skipped :/ had half an atkins bar at around half eleven and tyen finished the rest this afternoon.
L- salmon with salad and a dash of salad cream.
D- chicken breast with chilli flakes, parsley and sage with the remainder of the butternut squash mash from yesterday.. Some spinach and small amount of peas!

Ive resisted pringles, crisps and ice creams which have all been munched around me today!

Still feel rubbish but am tryin to concentrate on what ive lost in these last 3 wks instead of how far away my goal weight is.

Badvoc - why are you using flour of any description? You really don't need it - and it will be adding unnecessary carbs, even if it is gluten-free. What is it that you are cooking that requires it?

OP posts:
hurricanewyn · 04/08/2012 19:12

Evenin' all - just came back to say thanks to Jins.
The emmental lasagne was amazing Grin

Vanfurgstan · 04/08/2012 19:16

Hello everyone, may I please ask if anyone would suggest any low carb food ideas for me.
I eat a lot of fruits and veg curries but my staple food is pasta and bread, I don't knw how i can replace these as nothing else fills me

TeamGBIWI · 04/08/2012 19:23

Once you stop eating carbs, you will find that your appetite diminishes considerably, vangurgstan.

You need to drop the fruit, as well as the pasta and bread.

Seek out the Bootcamp recipe thread for lots of inspiration.

Sorry - vanfurgstan!

MrsOnYourMarksGetSetPoirot · 04/08/2012 19:24

I am desperate to try that emmental lasagne - sounds amazing!

B - two fried eggs and 3 back rashers
L - lettuce, cheese, prawns, calamari, salami, more lettuce
D - will be various meats on the BBQ with salad and green beans.

Off to see the fencing at the Olympics tomorrow - no idea what the food situation will be like and then taking DD to a 3rd birthday party. Must resist cake....

TeamGBIWI · 04/08/2012 19:26

Emma - step away from the peas!

Also, just wanted to check if we made a decision about the spreadsheet Fiddle?

BIWI yes deffo to Bootcamp Reloaded in Sept. Good things - I read back through lots of the threads and I liked the little inspiration/thought for the week at the beginning. I like the support on the thread from everyboday and don't think you really need to change anything. Maybe only thing to change - I think don't post the rules every week, except maybe the first week and then just link back to that thread and the recipe thread instead. I find that it is just too big at the top of every page on my phone (I can cope, just would prefer it not there each time if that makes sense!).

SingingTunelessly · 04/08/2012 19:30

Ooh BIWI like it Smile. Are you going on holiday? Don't think you mentioned it Wink

Van, errrr.... the veg is fine! Typical evening meal for me would be lamb chops/pork belly/chicken with green vegs cooked in butter or salad with mayo. Have a look at the recipe thread. Honestly, there are loads of yummy things you can eat on this woe. But bread and pasta are a no no! At least until you're at goal weight but tbh I can't imagine wanting them ever again now.

TeamGBIWI · 04/08/2012 19:31

Thanks, MrsHP. The whole 'rules' thing is tricky, but I think you're right - and it's a bummer having to cut and paste it all the time! It would be great if we could have a sticky, but I don't think MNHQ would allow that.

Oh, Singing - didn't you know? I'm going on holiday ON SATURDAY!

Thegoddessblossom · 04/08/2012 20:01

Biwi wowwowwow. That really does look amazing are you going for 2 weeks?

We have booked our holiday through the exact same website.

I am so excited

Badvoc · 04/08/2012 20:01

BIWI I am not eating flour.
But I wondered if it was ok after I reach goal occasionally...like b day cake etc?

Thegoddessblossom · 04/08/2012 20:01

Do you play golf?

emmak86 · 04/08/2012 20:10

Ooo ok BIWI .. No more peas!

fufulina · 04/08/2012 20:11

Oh BIWI and blossom those villas look gorgeous! We did a Provence villa last year through that site and it was truly fabulous.

Ilove I am so impressed with the loss! Brilliant!

I was at hen do today (with smallest, hence not currently annihilated drinking cocktails out of penis straws - pardon the pun), but the canal cruise had excellent food options. Love that this woe isn't a disaster when out. My sister is vegan and that is a complete disaster. She has to call ahead before she goes!

Had three glasses of champagne, then completely didn't have any pudding then cupcakes or carrot cake back a the flat. Didn't even want it. And it struck me that I was soooo addicted to carbs and sugar before that I actually couldn't resist things like that. Could not. They would sing to me until I capitulated. I could have passed on the stripper also. Ugh.

Anyway, come on Jess!

fufulina · 04/08/2012 20:12

Btw, was 78.8kg his morning, so still a steady loss. Awaiting the 3/4 week sts.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 04/08/2012 20:21

Oooh, BIWI, that looks amazing! Envy I went to Barbados when I was 16 but have forgotten all the place names. There's a lovely beach with pink sand...Google says it's called Crane Beach. Go there and think of us lowly Bootcampers stuck in Britain for the summer!

Emmenthal lasagne is planned for tomorrow's dinner, HurricaneWyn! DH made a version using courgette for layering but I think emmenthal will be nicer.

That makes sense re muscle loss, Vnmum. I did a lot of gym-going while I was low-cal-ing so I would have been reasonably muscular, but I recall also doing things like eating fruit for breakfast, prawn salad for lunch and then fish and chips/McDonald's for dinner, which all came in at under 1400 calories. Hmm

Dinner tonight was low-carb sausages, buttered cabbage, mushrooms fried in butter and a creamy sauce made of creme fraiche, garlic and herb cream cheese, grated cheese and black pepper. Mmm. I also had a tiny bit of Lindt 90% dark choc, which is only 4g carbs per 40g - I think I ate 20g, so well within range.

teaandthorazine · 04/08/2012 20:25

Dinner tonight - beef stroganoff with creamy, cheesy spinach - yum! May also have a glass of red and a little bit of 70% with raspberries as I cheer on my body-double Jess Ennis Grin

My lovely friends have given me a champagne tea-for-two at The Wolseley to say thanks for helping out when their little girl was born - think I might have to take a planned cheat for that one!

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 04/08/2012 20:26

Goddess, that villa also looks amazing! So Envy of those with proper abroad holidays this year. Maybe next year.

teaandthorazine · 04/08/2012 20:27

Oh BIWI - that looks AMAZING, you lucky, lucky thing Grin

TeamGBIWI · 04/08/2012 20:29

Yes, we're going for 2 weeks. It's through one of my Twitter 'friends' - someone who is also a MN blogger, and we have been given a generous discount, which is making it, unbelievably, a really good value holiday - it's costing us pretty much what it would cost to go to Greece for 2 weeks.

We've been to Barbados before, but only ever in an AI hotel, so it will be fab having the chance to cater for ourselves and see a bit more of the island.
