Here we are again - new thread time! Can you believe we're on our 9th one?

I've been down to DFS and got us some new squidgy sofas. Feel free to add anything else you like Grin

TBH I'm not sure what dinosaurs are. I am off to the frozen food shop when I collect DS1 from school, and I'm expecting them to be either processed potato products, or chicken nugget type things. I don't expect to be starting a SW trend!

I have much the same problem, reading the thread whilst not sticking too it. Yesterday was the complete opposite of normal days though, usually I start the day well with a nice SW breakfast, and sometimes manage an on-plan lunch too and fall flat in the evenings. Yesterday breakfast and lunch were a disaster (due to mouldy bread and lack of meat), but our main meal was SW perfect, and I had no naughty booze/chocolate in the evening. Just need to bring it all together and I might get somewhere!

have a greatdaySmile

AimingForElegant · 18/09/2012 14:44

Hope it goes ok ria. I think the dinosaurs are breaded turkey creations...

You all appear to have such restrained food diaries, I don't know how you manage it as I think I eat ALL DAY LONG. Today's food:

B: Ham and mushroom omelette. (6 syns for 1tbsp oil - I'm at work so no frylight, this is probably an overgenerous guess, but I'd rather err on the side of caution!)
L: Spicy tomato soup
D: Salmon, basmati rice and salad.

Snacks so far: fruit salad, sliced peach with FF yoghurt
Snacks I'll probably have still: Banana, tangerine
HEA - milk in my many cups of tea
HEB - a mint hifi watching GBBO tonight so I can pretend I'm having a treat when they are cooking their yummy food Envy

TomDaleysTrunks · 18/09/2012 16:50

Another one who had an epic fail yesterday. I did well all day then had a crap day at work and DH was cranky post work so I ordered a pizza Blush. Didn't go for a run either.

Today has been better
B: fruit
L: chicken salad and pitta bread, fruit
D: fish pie and broccoli
Snacks: fruit
Exercise: I will go for a bloody run

ria hope vaccinations go ok. if all else fails pin him down please do tell what dinosaurs are!
Hiya slinky can I have a jelly baby please? How's T?
slim how are things? How is the LO?
gettintrimmer hope you are better
aimingforelegance I eat a LoT of fruit, I just can't be arsed to list it all.

Right, I'm off to waitrose. The girls are over for dinner tomorrow, how does this sound? I'm catering for a variety of dietary requirements from my skinny minnie mates. I'm going to do tilapia in Thai sauce with jasmine rice and stir fry veg (3 syns) and then a jazzy summer fruit salad from my waitrose cookery day. and buckets of wine

Riadiculous · 18/09/2012 17:29

sounds nice TDT.

dinosaurs are indeed breaded turkey shapes Blush. Please don't tell the MN police. I have bought smiley potatoe faces to cover all food groups! except veggies

Jab done. The nurse was not nice and friendly today, and also gave him a bollocking, which she was probably right to do, but it's never very nice to hear, however justified. I have medicinal wine (for me, not DS). Now to wait for DH to get home from the hospital and see if he has any news on the next steps for his shoulder

SlimJimBra · 18/09/2012 20:35

Hello all, just got back from rl group - and I can definitely state that choc's 5 point plan (TM) works :o

TomDaleysTrunks · 18/09/2012 20:55

GrinGrinGrinGrin Well done slim

And well done Ria's DS!

TomDaleysTrunks · 18/09/2012 22:13

Right Right, it is Day of Doom tomorrow. PM me whenver you like. I will do the list late and half cut after my pals have left!

FairhairedandFrustrated · 18/09/2012 23:10

OOh excited to hear Slim's loss tomorrow!!

My day has went well again. I'm still convinced there will be a gain on Thursday though, as the eating ok drinking at the weekend was dire a bit much Hmm

Today's food went as follows (there's not much there, so don't yell, but I have had the busiest of busy days)

B: Pink lady apple & black coffee
snack: 2 boiled sweets
L: chicken and mushroom pasta, ham, grapes & a plum
D: grapes, banana and ham & coffee (3 cups)

Man I am wrecked. Dh is on night shits afuckingain and I never sleep properly when he's not here!! I'm in bed with coffee

J in for second session of chemo tomorrow. Her hair has abandoned her, the wee sweetheart.

Riadiculous · 19/09/2012 07:39

thinking of you FHF x

my uncle has a bone scan next week, they can't tell him any more til then, though they have changed his current medication.

feel a bit this morning, no doubt stress from yesterday!

Will WI later and PM you TDT, today is "line drawing" day for me. Christmas looms, plus I'm going to need to wear a coat at work soon and I don't think I have one that fits since my manky clothing cull. Suppose I could always buy a new one, but I don't want to if I'm going to slim out of it

TomDaleysTrunks · 19/09/2012 07:54

Ah bless her fair. Is she going down the wig route?
Hope your uncle is ok ria. It doesn't have to be cloud cuckoo land - you can do it!

Gain for me but I didn't expect anything less after last weekends bender/fry up/ pizza combo Smile.

Riadiculous · 19/09/2012 08:02

had another dream last night, not a sobbing, harrowing one, but made me Sad anyway. went to visit my gran, and had got down the path and was about to knock on the door before I'd remembered she'd died. then I walked round the close where she lived and all the other houses seemed to be "advertising" that everyone else who had lived there at the same time as her had all died tooSad

SlimJimBra · 19/09/2012 08:25

Oh ria ((hugs)) it sounds like you're really stressed :( sorry to hear about the bad/sad dreams too, I guess that's all connected to the stress/ worry too is it?

Chocolatemakesmefat · 19/09/2012 11:15

I ate a 145g bag of chocolate buttons yesterday Blush

AimingForElegant · 19/09/2012 16:00

So easily done though chocolate, the only ones I can't do that with are Minstrels as I feel "Minstrel sick" halfway through. Everything else, particularly buttons, caramel nibbles, malteasers, TWIRL BITES and peanut m&ms however, get demolished!

In group WI tonight, they are doing "secret weigh" Hmm

SlimJimBra · 19/09/2012 16:52

what's a secret weigh? I thought it was always meant to be in secret?
Choc - it is easily done :(

kid · 19/09/2012 17:47

I forgot to WI this morning, not that I'd expect anything spectacular on the scales. I have managed to go back to they gym though so thats progress.

I have a class booked for an hours time, I really don't feel like going though. My body is still in shock from last night.

Chocolatemakesmefat · 19/09/2012 19:50

I resisted the galaxy counters today and had a tin of ww soup instead to curb the urge to eat deliciously naughty things Smile

Chocolatemakesmefat · 19/09/2012 19:55

Thinking of you today FHF hope everything went as best as possible for J x

AimingForElegant · 19/09/2012 20:51

Secret weigh is where it's a secret from you as well, so the consultant tells you in group along with everyone else! It's a bit odd, but was quite fun.

SlimJimBra · 19/09/2012 21:06

how weird! So if you had a gain is the amount disclosed to the group too? Whenever anyone in our group has a gain (or sts) the consultant just says how much they've lost overall instead of how much they've lost that weekk. Obviously we all know that it means a gain or sts but it's not overt.

Riadiculous · 19/09/2012 21:33

don't think I would like secret weighHmm

does anyone know the syn value of Aunt Bessies bubble and squeak patties? Quite fancy a SW fry-up tomorow with a couple, but if they are high syn I won't bother.

All planned for tomorrow - fry up, small bit of pasta bolognese and salad for lunch, then cottage pie and carrots, with lots of fruit to snack on.

DS1 has taken to watching Ashes to Ashes. Quite like it. Gene is a bit tasty!

DS1 has also received his first invitation to a "proper" teenage party - a 16th at a sports club bar! All my slightly wild truly appalling behaviour between the ages of 14-17 has come back to haunt meBlush He doesn't want to go!

FairhairedandFrustrated · 19/09/2012 22:31

Aaaw @ your ds's shyness regarding the party - wee pet :). I have a 16 yr old nephew who hates anything like that too, he's a hard worker and is quite backward.

TDT, yes, she has a wig, it's very natural looking, same as her own hair, but so far she's been using a scarf or a bandana. Today they put an anti sickness syringe driver in as her nausea has been awful, here's hoping it works.

I ended up covering a group tonight at the last minute, am wrecked.
Secret weigh ins are against all the training we do, but some consultants like them.

I font get weighed in until tomorrow so will update then.

Ria, sorry about the dreams, they must be scary. I hope you get a peaceful sleep tonight.

Re: sweetie binges, I love minstrels!!! Could eat them to a band playing!

SlimJimBra · 19/09/2012 23:04

FH - My dsis's dh's dm (still with me?) had a variety of wigs when she had chemo and she really enjoyed styling them! She takes all the treatment in good humour and is a bit of a star really :)
Ria - I was the shy one who didn't like parties - until uni when i discovered I could hide my shyness at the bottom of a pint glass :o
I have taken a hifi rocky road bar to bed with me but now I want minstrels Envy

SlimJimBra · 19/09/2012 23:07
FairhairedandFrustrated · 19/09/2012 23:31

Makes perfect sense slim!! :)

Yeah, J is a wee gem too, never complains, she has a fab sense of humour!

Anyone heard from Bee?? Am worried about her.
