kid · 23/08/2012 19:35

I'm heading home tomorrow night which isn't a bad thing as I can't deal with this heat anymore. It's in the 40s each day and I swear I'm melting.

I tried on the outfit that I wore coming here. I can still do the trousers up just but they wouldn't be comfortable for an 8 hour journey so I'll go with the maxi dress instead.

Well done to those still weighing in and admitting a gain. I tend to forget to wi if I expect a gain Blush

FairhairedandFrustrated · 23/08/2012 22:44

LOL no, keep your manky fruit, I had a gain last wk which negates my SOW status Wink

Dinner was ex lean mince beef, carrots onions and gravy wi brocolli & spuds! Followed by fruit salad.

HEB Hifi Deluxe chocolate and HEA milk for coffee today (5 cups)

Syns in lunch potato salad and gravy with the mince.

SlimJimBra · 23/08/2012 23:50

No no you can have the bruised and overripe pear FH, honestly it's fine :o

Had a good diet day today, loads of fruit and a yummy dinner of pasta prawns and broccoli :) in bed right now with a hot chocolate :)

kid · 25/08/2012 13:47

I'm home.

I hopped on the scales this morning and jumped straight off them immediately. I had to double check that there wasn't another person stepping on the back of them to make me heavier. Shame that there wasn't so the dieting starts NOW.

Amazingly, I still fit into my jeans which was a pleasant surprise. I've had 2 weetabix, skimmed milk and a banana so far today. I passed on the chocolate croissants that everyone else was eating and I popped over the shop for some apples, bananas, grapes, strawberries and kiwi.

I'm getting a takeaway tonight as I can't stand the thought of facing the shops on a Saturday as they will be hectic. But chicken chowmein for me, 7.5 syns and fruit for lunch so today will be a good start. I'll keep a close eye on the scales over the coming days to see all the damage from holiday undone.

I'll try and read over the thread to see what everyone else has been up to in my absence.

SlinkyB · 25/08/2012 15:47

Welcome home kid! You are good, jumping straight back on the diet wagon on your first day home (I probably would've just waited until Monday)

You'll have to change your name again, to superslimjimbra when you hit 10st slim! Smile Well done to you.

Just got back from a family 40th birthday party, and now sat in the conservatory watching the amazing storm whilst ds naps. Anyone else lost their partners to the football now? I actually don't mind yet as means I get less sarky comments about how much time I spend on fb/mn Grin

Off to the florists in a mo to finalise everything for next week. Then out for a Chinese tonight with some girl friends (I will not be being good and sticking to chow mein, however).

Hope you're all having a lovely start to your BH weekends.

pixiestix · 25/08/2012 17:59

Welcome home Kid.

Slimjim I am in total awe of you!

How many days now Slinks? Are we in to single figures?

Sorry to be quiet this week. Am feeling somewhat bleak.

Chocolatemakesmefat · 26/08/2012 08:33

Morning, off to Belgium today, won't be back till Thursday so no weigh in for ne this week, good luck everyone else Smile

pixiestix · 26/08/2012 08:44

Mmmm, waffles. Mmmm, genevra. Mmmm, cheese. Mmmm, fruity beer. God, I loved Belgium. Have a fab time.

Chocolatemakesmefat · 26/08/2012 10:15

You forgot Hmmmmmm chocolate!

That and everything else, however going with stroppy tweenager that is to be separated from her bbm ing for oh 4 whole days and DP who has no patience whatsoever, will it be relaxing? Probably not! I shall loose myself in my kindle when the bickering starts and try very hard not to kill either of them Grin

FairhairedandFrustrated · 26/08/2012 11:55

Welcome home Kid!! Enjoy your hols choc! And slinky, hope you had a great night!

Chin up lil pixie xxxx

I had a night out with my sisters last night, before J starts chemo this week. Lovely meal, starters goats cheese tart, peri peri chicken with rice for dinner and just a coffee for dessert :)

Though yesterday was dh's birthday so I had already ate my own weight in choc cake before we went out!!

Heading away for a family day out tomorrow but have to be home to cover a group tomorrow night :(

FairhairedandFrustrated · 26/08/2012 11:56

Where's everyone @?

kid · 26/08/2012 13:57

I had to go food shopping to stock up on everything. I selected some SW menus before I went and got everything except muller lights and low fat natural yogurt so will need to get those at some point.

I have just put some smartie cookies that I am making in the oven, they are going to be hard to resist. I only made 12 so hopefully DH and DC can polish them off before I even sniff them.
DH also bought a cheesecake of somesort but I don't really like those so should be able to avoid.
I have so much fruit so I am going to be over indulging on that.

Enjoy Belgium Chocolate, getting lost in your kindle sounds like an excellent idea. I read about 6 books on holiday on my kindle. The screen froze on it a couple of times and I thought I might actually have to find something else to do but resetting it fixed that problem.

Your meal out sounds lovely Fairhaired, I especially like the sound of all that chocolate cake. Hope the chemo goes well for J, and that you all are there to support eachother.

Hope you are feeling better Pixie

Slinky, hope the wedding plans are all under control and you are enjoying the last days before the big day.

Hello to anyone else I have missed.

GettinTrimmer · 26/08/2012 15:08

Hi......can I join you?

I joined slimmers world and after my holiday now weigh more than when I started. But since my last wi at group I've stuck to the plan & would like to lose a stone & half by Christmas.

I am just off to Aldi to stock up on more fruit! look forward to chatting with you all.

kid · 26/08/2012 19:56

Hi GettinTrimmer and welcome. Good luck with SW, you have come to the right place for support and chit chat.
You should be able to lose 1.5 st by Christmas, just make sure you write down your meals plans if you begin to struggle, that works for me anyway.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 26/08/2012 22:47

Hi GettinTrimmer, you can easily lose 1.5st by Christmas. And you'll get great support here.

I had an OK day food wise:

Breakfast: Bacon, HEB wholemeal bread, HP sauce (1 syn) Flora light (2 syns) followed by a peach and a plum (as well as half a tray bake shared with dh)

Grazed on fruit during day and for dinner I'd diet coke chicken with sw chips - heaps of peppers, onions and mushrooms with that and followed with a big massive fruit salad and ff yog!

Off out tomorrow for the day, so lunch out no doubt!

GettinTrimmer · 27/08/2012 09:45

Good luck with your lunch out Fairhaired. I am going for lunch the fateful Indian eat as much as you like buffet, and I have it all planned!

Will be a popadum to start with salad. the 1/4 of my plate salad with plain boiled rice and a vegetable curry. Then fruit to follow. That'll be 12 syns.

kid I was against getting a kindle but dh bought me one - I read a few books on holiday too. Made the mistake of buying some Horrid Henry for dd on my kindle though!

kid · 27/08/2012 13:04

I downloaded all of the James Patterson books so I managed to terrify myself everynight on holiday by reading in bed!

I think I'm going to buy dd (13) one for Christmas. She loves reading and keeps trying to get hold of my kindle which isn't going to happen Grin

Food so far today:
B- weetabix, skimmed milk, banana.
L - lots of strawberries
D- chicken salad

Chocolatemakesmefat · 27/08/2012 18:01

Ah the joys of free WiFi in the hotel room... Anyways Kid I love James Patterson and have read them all, fabulous reads, I would recommend Peter James and Karin Slaughter to get on your kindle too

As the result of the Jilly Cooper thread in chat I have finished Riders and am now reading Rivals.

I am not going to own up to what I have eaten so far, but we did hire bikes and ride for 4 hours solid so surely that must compensate some what

Hi to all, off to drink some Leffe Grin

Clodaghdragonfly · 27/08/2012 20:27

tut tut FHF, why waste syns on spread when even healthy grilled bacon has fatWink

hark at the fat cow (ie me)!

Jilly Cooper is A MUST!!! Didn't know there was a thread but I have been a huge fan from reading Rivals at about 13/14, and have just re-read JUmp (in the absence of Riders over the Olympics). I re-read them all in order most years...Blush (and, thanks to Rivals and TMWMHJ I knew DS1 was dyslexic long before the schools did)

Enjoy BelgiumSmile

pixie - I'm with youSad and

Family BBQ yesterday. Ate incredibly healthilty, and absolutely NO alcohol passed my lips, and I drove the family home (DS3 was "holding his tiddler" and DM was getting DS2 to ask me to slow down...) ...

am making up for it tonight!

Clodaghdragonfly · 27/08/2012 20:27

love leffe...
