As a forever lurker I thought this might be the place to post...

Last night I caught sight of myself naked and it was awful...really, really awful. I look like I've just given birth and my baby is actually almost 5.

I lost loads of weight after having him (and splitting up from h) but I've piled it back on recently. I need to lose 3 stone ish! oh god!

I don't want to be fat, I don't want to be miserable, I don't want to hate how I look.

So I've ordered some scales and I've made my mind up....this is it!!!

I eat healthily (generally) because of DS but when DS is with his Dad I comfort eat/drink and the weeks good efforts go to pot.

If anyone has any advice or fancies joining me, I'd really appreciate it.

Hi pumpkin, welcome Smile good luck you can do it. I'm fed up with being fat too, even though I've lost 5lbs in the last two weeks, I still feel fat and its getting me down.

I've got to try and be more positive and realise its going to take time!

It's just not happening as fast as I want it to...

Had an utterly shit weekend, so turned to wine on Saturday and carbs on Sunday. Not good, not good at all.

Onwards and upwards, I'm going to be utterly amazing this week and lose another 2lbs and then next week, I might try and do a week of dukan or the 4 day wonderdiet to give my weightloss a proper kick start.

My sister reckons that my body recognises what I'm trying to do as I've done ww before, anyone got any idea If she's right?

Hello Melody, 5lb in two weeks well done that is very goodSmile.
I have never tried ww, i have always done slimming world on and off throughout the years- normally takes me atleast 7 weeks to lose a stone but you know what they say the slower it comes off the harder it is to put back on-which i think is completley true as its took me a while to accumulate the stone and a half i have put on!
Melody-try what works best for you, i find sw easy as there isnt much counting and you can eat a lot so im never hungry and you get your syns to spend on choc/sugar or whatever you fancy.
The only reason i gave it up is coz i lack motivation at timesBlush
Anyway day 2 is here for me onwards and upwards as they say, going to have a jacket pot for lunch & lovely spag bol for tea

I've actually made a Dr appointment for Thursday as I'm so bloated and constipated Sad

It's really starting to Piss me off!

I've been bloody brilliant the last few days though so fingers crossed I will love again this week.

How are you getting on? Bet you'll have a fab weightloss this week Smile

Had a bad day, started of well with healthy breakfast, lunch & dinner, but then i ruined everything by having cake & icecream & crispsAngry, day 3 and my motivation is already lacking so back on the bandwagon tomorrow!- must not let the greedy pig inside me winGrin

I really need to join you. I have loads of weight to lose and really need to start now. I felt like a right frump doing the school run this morning. All the yummy mummy's in little shorts and vests and me in my flowery skirt with elasticated waist i bought in the CS. :(

I'm the heaviest i've ever been by far. I lost a lot of weight after i had my youngest son 6 years ago. I actually lost 1.5st while pregnant because for the only time in my life i had to force myself to eat, I didn't have morning sickness just went off food. I then breastfed and went to ww with loads of extra points a day and did really well. Got to a size 14 and felt great but the weights gone back on plus more since. :(

Anyway onwards and upwards this time i'm going to lose this weight once and for all.

So far, so good for me today, healthy brekkie & lunch
Breakfast:28g bran flakes with a splash of milk & an apricot
Lunch: Jacket spud, baked beans & an apple
Dinner is to be homemade bbq chicken breasts with rice and a fat free yoghurt
Lets hope i can stick to it today, if not then its back to slimming world groups as they help me stick to the plan as i cant bare for someone to see the scalesBlush that in itself spurs me on!

Thanks for the welcomes. I'm going to just try and eat healthly and try to do some sort of exercise every day. If that doesnt work i will think again.

I was just tucking in to a rather lovely salad with ham and boiled egg with balsamic vinegar when the phone rang. My 15 yr old sons school to say he'd had an anxiety attack and scratched his arms to shreds. After school, drs, and chemist we ended up in greggs with me eating a sausage roll. I've walked miles though so at least ive done some exercise.

Hi Superduperdoo, Hope your DS is ok.

Well the lovely sunshine had me feeling positive so thought I would pull out a pair of jeans from the back of my wardrobe a size smaller than what I've been wearing and they fit! Dropped a dress size in a month :).

Salmon salad for dinner and it's such a nice night maybe a walk around the bay too.

Hope everyone else is feeling motivated by the nice weather.

Hi all, sounds like we are all on track. I wouldn't worry at all about the sausage roll super sometimes real life gets in the way! I hope your Ds is ok.

I've been to the Dr and got some movicol so it will hopefully help me poo, I've been so so good this week, I simply must lose!

Wow, well done chirp that's fantastic. I'm feeling really positive too, I'm hoping to avoid alcohol this weekend and try and get under 12st next week...it will be hard but I'm going to give it a go....

Hi Melody. That's good going! You'll easily have dropped stone and a half if you carry on like that!

Well my weekend has been a bit of a blow out, always knew it would be as had planned a bbq with some old friends. Yes, I had a few drinks, yes I ate burgers and yes, I enjoyed every moment of it! But today is a new day and I'm going to have to work extra hard to keep going with my target of 2lbs a week. Just finishing a healthy lunch and then a walk around the block in the sunshine while no my lunch break.

Hope everyone is finding it ok. Has our OP ever been back?

Well i've only been trying a little this week but thought i'd weigh myself anyway and i've lost 2lbs! I've had a chinese, wine and a McDonalds too. But we've been eating loads of salads for tea and i haven't had a binge. It has made me think how much i could lose if i really made an effort. So, i'm going to up my game a bit and see what happens.

Well done to everyone who's lost.

Though I would try and revive this thread as I've had a rubbish of couple weeks. Haven't really been trying very hard, not logging stuff on MFP and have been feeling a bit rubbish. Not weighed myself as I'm afraid of what it might say!

Anyway thought I would refresh my efforts this week and check in on how everyone else is going. Please come back and motivate me to get off my arse this week!

Hi chirp well done for reviving the thread, I've missed it, had a pretty shocking couple of weeks too! Had a suspected broken ankle so spent a week in plaster unable to put weight on my foot.

Lost 2lbs that week but none this since finding out I'm ok and its just sprained!

Let's have a brilliant week this week and stay on track Smile have you weighed since Monday?

Glad someone's back! No, still been too afraid. I will weigh in on my usual Thursday I think. To be honest I'll be glad if I've managed to stay the same over the last few weeks!

Glad your ankle is ok. Are you able to exercise on it again yet or still taking it easy? Well done for continuing to lose even when debilitated!

Good luck this week. I promise to get back on the scales no matter how scary that may be!

I can't jump around on it so no cardiovascular Sad but I've been doing davina with my weights and doing knee lifts instead of jumping, its exhausting so hopefully doing something...I'm due to start the shred on tues, can't wait!

Do you use weights for it? Any idea how heavy I should go?

I was 12st 2lbs last weigh in so I'm being extra good this week so that I can get to 11st something. Only 6.5 weeks until my honeymoon

I have been so bloody good this week, am not having a day off this weekend, I'm working through it and weighing in on Monday....target is 11st 11lbs, I'm putting the pressure on myself now Wink

I can't blooming believe it Melody. In the past three weeks since my last weigh in I haven't been trying too hard, have probably had a few too many treats than I should have and possibly a few too many rums than is ideal but I've manage to lose 4lbs without even trying!

I guess with using MFP I've just been a lot more conscious about my choices and portion sizes etc. It's really spurred me on. Another 4lbs and I'll be under 15 stone for the first time since in ages. Now I really want it!

Good luck with those scales on Monday! It's good to aim high but remember not to beat yourself up if it doesn't move as fast as you like. That said I'm sure you'll smash it!

I promise I won't beat myself up, as long as I'm 11st something I'm going to be ecstatic, I feel like its starting to work now, I can see a difference and get into clothes that haven't fitted for a while. Davina is working too, I've done it four times already this week, am going to have tomorrow off and do one more on Sunday.

Also (a big one for me) I haven't had a drink all week, which is fantastic!

We are SO in the bloody zone Wink

Damn straight!

I'm off the booze again this week. Had a few last week but didn't go over the top. I honestly don't find it too hard being on the wagon, will have to train DH not to automatically pour me one on a Friday night though!

Is the Davina DVD good? How long is it? I really like the shred DVD as it's over so quickly!! but it is getting a bit boring now and that with me doing it with headphones on listening to my own tunes.
