As a forever lurker I thought this might be the place to post...

Last night I caught sight of myself naked and it was awful...really, really awful. I look like I've just given birth and my baby is actually almost 5.

I lost loads of weight after having him (and splitting up from h) but I've piled it back on recently. I need to lose 3 stone ish! oh god!

I don't want to be fat, I don't want to be miserable, I don't want to hate how I look.

So I've ordered some scales and I've made my mind up....this is it!!!

I eat healthily (generally) because of DS but when DS is with his Dad I comfort eat/drink and the weeks good efforts go to pot.

If anyone has any advice or fancies joining me, I'd really appreciate it.

And I have now managed to get through an afternoon at work without snacking:) ... although to be honest am very very hungry now despite drinking the best part of a litre of water Confused

I was being very good, then it was someones birthday so I ended up eating a small slice of cake and then another friend brought round some biscuits that she had baked. But I was better than I normally am and only had the one.

I don't know talk about sabotage. slo am not sure I am going to manage all of the water that it says to drink. Am starting to feel that I will be like a fountain. You are doing really well staying off the snacks.

Melody I figure if you are typing here it helps keep your fingers busy so less likely to reach for a snack

Melody DS is 17 months and as much fun as he is trouble!

Well done Slotrightin I find the best thing is to have a healthy snack if I'm really hungry - apple/banana/carrot sticks. Otherwise if I'm really hungry I get in the door and just grab something rubbish like a bag of crisps.

Hi Lemon don't be hard on yourself. Like you say you just had one biscuit not the entire plate. Forgive yourself and move on, you're still on the right track.

I need to get healthy snacks as I tend to reach for the toast which is no good!

Shit day yesterday, Ds was being a handful so I'm afraid I succumbed to wine...so I had:

1 x toast
Tuna salad
Crumpet
Chicken, peppers and courgettes
Hula hoops
a bottle of wine Sad

Trying to be good today, swimming after work and hoping that I will lose my 5lbs.

How is everyone getting on? Better than me I hope!

Chuffed with that, especially with a hangover!

Today I've had:

Toast and marmite
Veg soup
2 x Crumpet
Chicken, sweet potato, courgette, peppers and mushroom.

Fingers crossed for weigh in...

Had a lunch out today so have not been very good either. Tomorrow is a new day and I think it is OK to have the odd hiccup.

I've put on nearly four stone in a year. Shock I'm short too so I do not carry it well! It's been a really difficult few years for me, this last one being the hardest, and I've really not looked after my health at all.

Got to do something about it NOW.

Well I weighed and I have lost 3lbs! It's not the 5 I was hoping for, but that was quite unrealistic so I'm happy. I'm now 12st 8lbs and have 2st 5lbs to go....

Here's to another week. Might allow myself some wine tonight as its Friday Wink

Im good thankyou! Day 3 for me and Im feeling very positive which is good for me on day 3.
Oh of course you have to have wine its friday :)
Have you tried the ww wine? I havnt. Im wondering what the difference in points are?
Im out tomorrow evening and eating out also so this is going to be a tester for me. Hmm what to drink and what to eat?

Hi Happy Good luck with WW. It's good to hear how everyone is going about it.

That's great Melody 3lb is fantastic! Really pleased you got your reward for all that hard work.

I got another 2lb off so am now (still a shocking) 15st 12. It's the first time I've been under 16 stones in a long time and the jeans I bought at the start of the year that I didn't fit into now need a belt to keep them in place :) Have resolved this week to try extra hard and am going to attempt 30 Day Shred every day and do some walking in the evening if weather/life allows it. Also glad I don't have any plans this weekend so won't be cajolled into drinking by bad influnces!

Good luck over what will no doubt be a temptation filled weekend!

I haven't tried the ww wine, I just don't think it would be worth it, I bet its sweet and grim...

Where are you going for dinner? I'm sure we can figure out whats best for you to have!

Well done you its coming off! Its such a lovely feeling when you see the next number down on the scales. Im 13.13 so have 3 stone and 3lb to lose. Im a size 16 and would looooove to be a 12. Hot bods for summer I think ladies ;)
Me and my friend are going to Wetherspoons cheap and cheerful :) hmm but too many yummy choices ha!
No your probably right if your gonna have wine you have got to enjoy. I might try it one day though.
Still trying to get used to the pro points! I have a very sweet tooth this is going to be my issue overall.

Ooh happy I think wetherspoons do a superfood salad and it tells you the calories? Try googling weightwatchers and wetherspoons to see if the points are somewhere? If all else fails then a jacket potato and beans is always good.

I'm considering doing my davina dvd tonight when dh is out buying wine, I'm officially in the zone Grin

If you do try the ww wine, let me know what its like...

Really? Ok thanks sounds good. I wouldnt know as a salad wouldnt usually be top of my list, will have a little look. Yes I was thinking jacket potato.

Happy if you have a smart phone down load Myfitnesspal.com app - it's a really good way to keep a food journal. Have just done a search of "wetherspoons" and it seems to have a good portion of the menu listed with calorie information. On a quick glance I would definitely recommend avoiding the 6oz cheese burger and chips - 1295 calories! Shock

Can I join? I have Gone from 12 stone 8 to 9 8 doing a mix of ww and dukan but now back up to 10 8 and need to get back on track before I have put on the whole 3 stone.

For me I need to get it into my head, this is for life not just a diet and I'll be cured and never overeat.

I love food, eating, cooking, talking, thinking about it.

I have a holiday in 4 weeks and need to get down to 10 stone

So low carbing today

B scrambled egg with tomatoes
L beef stir fry with veg
D chicken with Parma ham and mozzarella and green veg

Two days low carbing and sick nod meat already!!

How you all doing?

Oh god also done shred on Monday for first time in months and literally have struggled to walk since, sitting down is so painful!!!

Hey,

Dukan is the dukan diet low carb high protein. Hardcore. Bit Atkins like.

Shred is a 20 min hardcore workout y American fitness trainer jillion michaels.

Both pretty hardcore!! What diet you doing

Hi all. hope you're all doing well.

I've done OK today but have still sneaked in a bourboun biscuit and a few chips off DS plate, but I have also eaten healthy foods I haven't had in ages - salmon, spring onions, pineapple.

Not doing "a diet" as I'm too tight to line someone elses pockets, Smile but am hoping to find the willpower from somewhere and the support (you lovely lot) to lose this wobble.

Don't really drink either so I guess that helps.

My worst time for scoffing is always once I've put DS to bed, so I'm thinking that I might get lots of early nights as well to stop me eating! I need the sleep anyway; I look haggered. Got mistaken for DS nanna yesterday. Shock Angry Sad
