As a forever lurker I thought this might be the place to post...

Last night I caught sight of myself naked and it was awful...really, really awful. I look like I've just given birth and my baby is actually almost 5.

I lost loads of weight after having him (and splitting up from h) but I've piled it back on recently. I need to lose 3 stone ish! oh god!

I don't want to be fat, I don't want to be miserable, I don't want to hate how I look.

So I've ordered some scales and I've made my mind up....this is it!!!

I eat healthily (generally) because of DS but when DS is with his Dad I comfort eat/drink and the weeks good efforts go to pot.

If anyone has any advice or fancies joining me, I'd really appreciate it.

He gets up and comes in bed with us iwantsummer, which is fine if I'm asleep but when I'm dropping off i just can't settle back down Sad he's 3 so I'm hoping he will stop soon!

Hi MsKitty I am losing for a holiday too, I have 12 weeks to try and lose as much as I can. When are you going away?

Oh meant to say I'm doing old ww as its worked well for me on the past. My fitness pal is really good too, I've never done sw I'm afraid.

melody We're going in August! I have spent so much time failing to find any clothes to be cool yet covered up in that I thought it was time to try and do something about it! There's a lot to lose though so my target is to just go down one clothes size before the summer! Target for Winter is to be able to buy and wear knee length boots!! :)

So we have the same amount of time then, I'm off on 6th august, can't wait but MUST loose this weight first.....I tried my bikini I'm the other day, his it was a shocker, it helped me to get in the zone that's for sure!

My aim is to lose another 2st.

Hi Kitty. How long until you actually go on holiday. I'm sure if you start today and work hard the change you'll see by your holidays will be well worth it. At least you feel more confident in yourself.

We all dream of knee high boots! Hope you're feeling ok Melody. I have my weekly walking date today so 5 miles around the town we live in and home in time for Eastenders is the plan! My next weigh in is Thursday. Fingers crossed for a couple more pounds off.

I'm a bit late to this thread, but can I join in?

I have no idea how much I weigh, I chucked the scales out when we moved and I have a 20 week old DS. I really need a kick up the bum, I think if I stop eating chocolate and cakes and get out for an hours walk each day I should be ok!

Not happy about my tummy, I know my legs and bum are shrinking as I'm back into my pre-baby 'fat jeans', but don't know how to tighten up my tummy?

Hi chirp I only have June and July so my plan is just to start here.
I have a lot to lose, talking many stones not pounds ! But I will make a start! I'm sure even a bit will make a difference, even just getting back to 'comfortably' overweight will help! Does that make sense?! :)

Hi CherryBlossom you need a Davina dvd! I lost my tummy (and then regained it but let's gloss over that for a minute Wink) by doing her dvds and running 3 times a week. Actually, I say running, it was more like jog, walk, jog, walk, feel faint etc etc for 30 minutes!

Made a huge difference though Smile

I'm off for my swim at 6, going to try for 50 lengths. Bloody starving today though so I'm not that confident...

You can make a huge difference in 2 months kitty......I'm hoping anyway, I'm going for it like never before.

I am going to have a slight break tomorrow though, my lovely sil is coming round fo a curry and wine. I'm not going to be terrible, I will have chicken tikka pieces and salad, but I can't wait!

Thanks melody I hope so! Also, I think it's fine to have a takeaway once in a while, it becomes a treat rather than a normal every day thing. I'm hoping to eat healthily in the week but if we go out at the weekend I will eat out too! :)

Hello can I join in? Another one going on holiday in 10 weeks and dreading what I look like. I weigh 13 stone 8 and am a size 18 though I bought some shorts in primark yesterday and had to get a 20. Oh, the shame.

Hi skirt 10 weeks is plenty of time. And don't sweat the Primark thing - I'm always a size bigger in bottoms there.

So went and weighed myself today and I've lost another 3lbs :). That puts me at 15st 9lb and I've lost a stone since I first started making an effort about a month ago. A couple of people at work have mentioned that I look like I've lost a few pounds and my clothes are starting to feel baggy. I guess that Jillian Michaels really does know her stuff!

How is everyone else getting on?

Hi all! Sorry I haven't posted, spent all day yesterday in a hungover grumpy mess.

God only knows how many points I had on wed night what with curry and wine.

Didn't get a chance to weigh this morning (also terrified of what it might say) so will weigh tomorrow...

My plan for the coming week is this:

-18 points a day, no bad days and no making it up days

-don't weigh until weigh day

-some exercise every day

  • no bloody arsing wine!

I don't think I've lost this week, so my aim is to lose 4lbs after this upcoming perfect week.

I feel like that today summer. Everyone else is thin except me Sad and it just doesn't feel like its working this time.

Hence the excellent week I'm planning next week. If I'm that good, its GOT to start working....I cannot go on this holiday fat!

Step away from the chocolate! How about a reduced calorie hot chocolate for when you need something sweet?

Must stay on track this weekend....Olympic torch event tomorrow with the kids, dreading it to be honest. Dh is on nights so I'm on my own with them.....I've got Monday all to myself, simply cannot wait!

Plan to go for a 2 mile run later, first run in years, wish me luck...

I woke up early and went for a jog.
5km in about 40min. Felt great.
Used to be very active when younger and morning sessions before work used to keep me going all day, will try and get back into this habit.
When I say I will do it at the end of the day-I don't! (too tired, ate too soon etc!!!) Angry

AM sessions it is. Smile

Im starting slimming world at home as of today and im not looking back, fed up with being fat and want to lose some weight in time for summer.
