Yes, it is cushion plumping time again Grin

Pull up your favourite chair (I'm bagging the one in the corner thanks Grin) stick your feet up and join in with the nattering.

Plenty of room for everyone Grin

Oh SlimJim, sending you un-MN hugs, sounds like you've had a really shitty day and no dh there for you either Sad I'm not sure it's going to help you hear this, but I had a good old bawl at my desk a few months back and felt very embarrassed. It was because someone had shouted at me over the phone (not my fault, he's just a miserable old bugger) and I can't bear it when people shout. Anyway, once the tears had started I couldn't stop, and I ended up blubbing away in the toilets. My line manager came in to check I was ok, and I was so embarrassed.

We're only human, try not to be too hard on yourself. Do you get on well with your team? Can you talk about it when you're next in? Hope you're ok.

Hmm, Jodie, I started reading your first post and was thinking "hmm, this isn't? You know? Might it be....?" and then got to the bit where you said something about being "face down in lard" and thought "it is!!". Anyway, welcome back, glad you're all positive about losing weight again, and have some weddings to look forward to. Have missed your sparkling wit Smile

Well done on yet more shredding fhf - have you noticed a change in your body shape/tone yet?

Good day here, glad it's Friday tomorrow though. I've just had a mobile hairdresser come round and re-blonde me. She also emailed me the pdf's of Fifty Shades of Grey (all 3), so am off to bed to be a complete sheep and get stuck in. Any of you lot following the crowds?

SlinkyB · 12/07/2012 22:03

Ooh ooh, forgot to say a big fat welcome back to pixie too! How's it going? Shall we pop over to fb to explain who we all are to SlimJimBra?!

FairhairedandFrustrated · 12/07/2012 22:40

I haven't noticed a change yet, but am definitely feeling fitter!

kid · 12/07/2012 23:01

I cancelled gym, I need my leg to recover (thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it)
I have been walking to work every single day come rain or shine. My legs are looking trimmer so I am definitely doing some form of exercise.

I've read 50 shades of grey and am currently on the second book, 50 shades darker or something I think. I only got them as everyone was talking about them and I didn't want to be left out Grin

I haven't planned tomorrows food but I think I'll be okay. weetabix for breakfast and a green day will be easy enough to sort in the morning.
I have to quickly do a little bit of ironing and then bed to read my book. I'm reading it on the kindle and its important that I don't leave going to bed too late. The other night, I nodded off to sleep while reading and dropped the kindle on my face Blush

Chocolatemakesmefat · 13/07/2012 10:04

Morning

Weather totally crap and depressing but it is Friday and a lie in tomorrow is highly anticipated.

Was given a german friendship cake mix by a totally evil colleague last week so after me taking good care of it all week it will finally be ready for me to bake tomorrow. I am being sort of good by splitting the mixture and making 2 cakes and giving one away to my parents which means less cake in my house!

B- fruit, yogurt, boiled egg
L - pitta, sweet chilli potatoes, side salad
D - out at Red Hot World Buffet so god knows!!!!!

Enjoy your weekend everyone

grinningbee · 13/07/2012 10:11

Morning all!

Slim sorry about the bad day. Hope you're feeling happier today Smile

Kid hope the leg is better soon!

I have got so much to do . I know one thing though, I've missed my SW food. I had the sweet chilli chicken last night and it was gorgeous.

Food for the day:

4 x ryvita dark with 4 x tsp reduced sugar marmalade (2 syns), banana
Cheese triangles on toast with salad, apple and a yogurt
Left over sweet chilli chicken, more roasted veggies

Maybe 2 x alpen lights for a snack in the evening (6 syns)

Good morning everyone!

Thanks so much for the welcome-backs: Lord knows I don't deserve it. If ever there was a more fickle* and useless woman living I've not yet met her.

Do we still post our food for the day? Cos that does help me loads and loads (oh and if anyone else is on myfitnesspal I'm Eadwacer - do feel free to stalk Grin).

Sorry that this is rather in haste. My employers have the OUTRIGHT TEMERITY to expect me to work for my wages Angry. I am currently working f/t. For most people this would be Diet Disaster but this is good for me since it means I can't bake and eat half a kilo of flapjack for elevenses. And twelvses Hmm

Breakfast (not my fault: DH got it as a treat): Croissant
Lunch: I shall be having sashimi
Dinner: Stewed butter beans with feta on top and lots of tomato and parlsey, some ice cream
Snacks: I have just bought some truly luscious oranges.

Good luck everyone! Now if you'll pardon me I have to go and drain several gallons of pus from my face. I have the worst outbreak of acne since I was about 12 Sad

*I typed that as 'fuckle' first

JodieHarsh · 13/07/2012 10:23

Oooo Bee sweet chilli chicken

Clodaghdragonfly · 13/07/2012 10:51

I lurve your posts Jodie you make me smile

slimjim I have done that at work 3x in my life I think (twice accompanied by running outBlush 'tis pants.

am struggling atm - not with food, just with everything. Am hoping once next week is over and all I have to do is spend 24/ with the DC things will seem brighterHmm

My GP spoke of changing my ADs to an epilepsy med when I go for my next appt.

have a good day allSmile. I have masses of ironing to do after work, then craft club with the kids, so I shouldn't be here again until bedtimeHmm

Clodaghdragonfly · 13/07/2012 10:52

*24/7

grinningbee · 13/07/2012 10:53

Hello Jodie

I'd like to put you straight - you are not the most useless woman living, that would be me. Talk about sabotage. Before Xmas, my lowest weight was 11st 3 (I think). Now I'm bloody well 2 st 10.5lb heavier Hmm That's pretty useless, as useless things go.

I love the chicken recipe, it's so easy! Dd made the sauce with me yesterday and was really pleased with herself Smile

I did snigger at "fuckle" Grin Boo to the acne. I reckon it's lack of sunshine.

And now I really must Go And Do Things. Anyone else finding the weather just makes you feel glum and not want to do stuff?

P.S That 50 shades book - I won't be reading it. It might give H ideas . I'll stick to my zombie apocolypse books Grin

OP posts:
grinningbee · 13/07/2012 10:56

X posted with you Dragon have a ((hug)). Why an epilepsy tablet instead of AD's? And do you know which sort yet? I only ask because H is on them, and I know how they make him feel.

Now I really must go...

OP posts:
JodieHarsh · 13/07/2012 10:58

Clodagh Grin Sorry you've been having a difficult time - when do you see the GP? A shake-up on the meds front no bad thing. Hope things look cheerier soon.

Bee duckie you have had a really really tough year, so don't be hard on yourself, will you?

Clodaghdragonfly · 13/07/2012 11:04

LOL bee, not that I like zombie books, but IKWYMWink

think the meds began with a "G"? They are for epilepsy, but have apparently been found to treat anxiety and sciatica very effectively. (no doubt if they do they will make me 20 stone heavier in a fortnight)

must go and focus on the ironing before work or I will end up under the duvet pretending to have flu!

Chocolatemakesmefat · 13/07/2012 11:07

Bee can you be a love and post the recipe for me pretty please, I love sweet chilli anything, but I usually cheat and use bottled sauce! [Grin]

Chocolatemakesmefat · 13/07/2012 11:08

Grin fail

grinningbee · 13/07/2012 12:14

Dragon If they work, then they're worth a go. Sciatica pain is not nice, neither is the anxiety.

Actually, tis quite funny that I'd rather read an end of the world type book than something steamy. Says a lot don't you think!

Jodie it's been an interesting time, but could be worse. Thanks for the stroking Wink "Thing"s haven't changed, but now I'm just not saying anything about it. If you get my drift.

Ok, my recipe for the chicken:

Serves 4 people

4 fluid oz of soy sauce (I use light soy sauce)
2 tbsp harissa powder
2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce (2 syns I think)
4 cloves crushed garlic (although somethimes I don't use it - the harissa powder has garlic in)

Bung it all in a bowl and stir it. Now bung a load of chicken thighs in it (I use about 950g) and swish them about so it's in every nook and cranny.

Stick the thighs on a tray, pour over what's left if you like (I do) and cook for 25/30 mins at 200c.

I also chop a red onion, some courgettes and a couple of peppers into a dish, spray with frylight and bung in at the same time.

I like things that can be chucked together like this Grin

Tomorrow I'm going to make a lasagne using quorn. Not done it before, but I don't know why. If it turns out nicely I'll put the recipe up for that too.

Huffpot · 13/07/2012 12:18

Hi all and Jodie hurrah - you also make me smile :-)

Bee have recovered from surgery but have a bloody prolapse or as Face would say a "loose undercarriage"!

Still have my flu and cough so am bumming around the house today and doing bits of cleaning as I go. Hoping the rain holds off till washing partially dry.

Ahhh I'm on the second book but only as my mate bought them and has lent them to me

Was rather evil last night and had Dr Oetker pizza for dinner mmmm
Must refocus now and cut synnage down slightly I think

Food:
B: Wedges, eggs, onion and pepper fried(in fry light),beans and tomatoes
L: Syn free turkey curry and rice with veg
D: No idea yet!

grinningbee · 13/07/2012 12:19

Oh, should have said at the end - I don't use the sauce to serve up. Just hoik the thighs onto the plate. Reason being that any sneaky chicken fat cooks out into it, and if you left it to go cold you'd be horrified. I've only seen it 'cos we eat half one day, then the rest another day.

OP posts:
grinningbee · 13/07/2012 12:23

Oh Huff! That sounds awful Sad Is that another surgery job, or are you waiting for a bit?

Your breakfast sounds yummy Envy

pixiestix · 13/07/2012 14:17

Why oh why did I fill in that stupid Global fat form? Whats the point in losing three bastard stone if you are still fatter than 91% of the women in the world Angry Sad Angry

Sorry "Thing"s haven't improved Bee. Sad Is the new house all luffly though?

JodieHarsh · 13/07/2012 14:32

Pix It's all bollocks duckie, you know that. I bet if you looked you could find another totally arbitrary form which would put you bang on average or similar.

grinningbee · 13/07/2012 14:56

Pixie! I filled in that form too. I came in at Micronesia - second one down. Arse.

New house is fine thanks. Couple of issues to resolve, like damp spreading back up the newly plastered wall in the sitting room, and replacing a cracked window, other than that it's stuff like getting the garden fenced off and just normal things.

It's alright here, but if the car ever breaks down I'm stuffed. Thing (H) took the mickey out of me yesterday for cleaning. I told him I want to keep this nice as it's our home. He doesn't believe in cleaning. Upstairs is like a new house as it was all replastered etc. Once the damp is sorted down here (crack in the wall outside, so damp course has failed) that'll be good. I am so glad I had the money stashed away to carpet the place. Sadly it was a fund for something else (I'm already working on replacing it). In our old place, we didn't have carpet in our bedroom or "hall" and only had the cheapest thin thing in our sitting room. Having underlay and proper carpet is a luxury! I'm squidging my toes in it now Grin. It would be fair to say I'm quite protective of the carpets!

One of the nicest bonus features is the fire. I've lit a fire for the last few nights, just because it's so lovely to look at in the evenings. No lights on, just a candle lit and the fire. After the dc are in bed obvs. Really silly, but the first time I lit it, I ran outside to see the smoke come out the chimney. I'm such a soppy sod!

Our neighbours like to walk across our front garden all the time to get to each other, or stand in it to talk Hmm, but if that's the worst of it, then until I get some borders planted (hee hee) I can put up with it. They also like to congregate next door in their pj's and dressing gowns at all times of day and put the world to rights. Mostly it's funny. Especially when they do the school run to the bus stop dressed the same way... Blimey. Maybe I'm a snob Blush

Anyway. That's far too much out of me, sorry for the boring long post!

Off out to get some veggies.

OP posts:
pixiestix · 13/07/2012 15:10

Not boring at all. It sounds positively idyllic compared to all being squashed in together. I bet the kids are loving the garden!

Am consoling myself with the fact that I have been to the South Pacific and Samoans, Tongans and Micronesians are just about the best people in the entire world. So that survey is really just telling us that we totally rock! Grin

FairhairedandFrustrated · 13/07/2012 16:33
