Hi I've been steadily losing weight since Jan, nearly two stone now. I struggle when DD1 off school so use each term as reason to kick start again my next goal of losing 10lbs in next 7weeks. I've been using myfitnesspal app to log food, walk a lot with 7mth old babe in buggy and do Shred dvd 3xs a week. I'm just about to try level 3 which looks very challenging oooh...

Anyone want to join me?

I'm joining WW tomorrow and giving that a whirl. Although I miss the old points and haven't quite got my head round the new system yet.
I've done myfitnesspal and liked it, but I think that the cals from exercise were v generous. I didn't keep going consistently with it without the motivation of meetings, so that's the plan.
I'm 12.7 so 10lb would get my below the 12st mark which is where I want to be asap.

In 7 weeks I'm away on holiday with the family. OH has a habit of taking photos that include me in and I don't want to as embarressed by them as I'm going to be if I do nothing between now and then.

Being back at work should make it easy to stick to healthy habits. Part time hours lets me fit in a few school runs which is a good walk when the weather is nice enough.

ssmile · 20/04/2012 20:08

fizzybee good luck with your closer diet hope it works for you.

mybabyweight I luuuvvvv MFP too its changed how I look at food SO much I walk around calculating what I can have and I walk to town and back just so I can have some guilt free chocolate :)

Well tough day ere 5hrs in car and family funeral (DH side) but I managed not to graze too much, took my own packed lunch (as I was making one for kids, I did a healthy one for me too) we did end up stopping at BurgerKing services but I only had half a packet of fries, have ended up 100c over today so I'm ok with that.

Hope your all doing well weigh in on thurs !

BulletProofMum · 20/04/2012 21:14

Oh buggerdy boo. I've done so well this week now had beer, wine and a big lump of baguette (always my downfall)

2kidsintow · 20/04/2012 21:59

Signed up for ww today. My leader remembered me and fished out my extremely lapsed gold card membership. I weighed in at EXACTLY the same weight I was, to the half pound from when I originally started losing weight with weight watchers two years ago. I've done it before and I'll manage again, I'm sure.
The only irritating thing is, because my day off is a Friday and I only go to a class on a Fri (so not spending an evening after work nipping out and leaving the kids - I already do that on my exercise night) so I've lost most of the first week already.

Tomorrow I shall be counting and logging. I am going to carry on with my Zumba class weekly as well as walking the school run at the end of the week when not at work.
I will plan ahead so I don't eat more and don't waste food either.

Off to peruse my shopping and plan a couple of days food.

Hope it's going well for everyone.

Leo35 · 20/04/2012 22:39

I have joined MFP and I am trying hard to stick to the daily limit I've been given. I have found that it takes a couple of days to get your eye in. Really hoping to have some good news for my weigh-in morning.

I'm not jogging/running at the moment as I've been having some physio on one of my feet. I got plantar fasciitis (sp?) and it's been very painful. Really want rid of it so I can get on with things again.

ssmile · 22/04/2012 08:02

My weigh in day is sat morning but was bit disappointmented I've only lost a lb at best. Still a loss is still ok, baby is now on 3meals a day (&finally sleeping!) So I think I might have to cut out the extra 200calories a day I was having for breastfeeding. So didn't have my sat treat of Bacon and eggs instead had porridge and a 40min bike ride in cold sunshine :) left DH eating his bacon&eggs feeding the girls too was lovely ride.

How is everyone else doing?

Well done ssmile - at least it's off - albeit slowly.

My weigh in is also Saturday. 2 lbs this week. SO happy enough with that. It did seem to go out of the window over the weekend as had a rare night out on Saturday, drank too much and then needed a BigMac on Sunday to help with the hangover!

greenfig · 23/04/2012 12:47

still plodding slowly on here! I seem to keep losing & gaining the same few lbs. I think I need to be a bit more hardcore to shift this last bit & THEN relax rather than thinking 'it's only 3/7lbs to go, yes please' to a glass of wine/piece of cake & setting everything back a few stepsHmm Had a w/e off Jillian but back to it today & feeling strongGrin
Well done to all you losers, keep up the good work.

ssmile · 24/04/2012 14:29

Have now managed level 3 Shred couple of times feeling really good about how strong I'm getting in arms&shoulders :) but struggling with shifting any weight this week. Think I'm plateaued abit I'm still sticking to 1200c a day net hopefully will kept slowly dropping off as I so want to hit 11stone by the time we go on hols first wk in June, 8lbs to go......

Weigh in tommorow can't belive it's only been a week I've been very good following the plan

And a broken cars given me lots of exercise in the rain

Crossing fingers ....

Corriewatcher · 25/04/2012 20:36

I weighed in at 9stone 5 on Monday, which was pleased about as it meant a 2 lb weightloss following the weight I put on over the Easter hols. Tbh, I've been struggling a bit over the past couple of weeks. DD only went back to school today so I haven't been able to get out running etc, and I've been lacking a bit of motivation. But I feel much more positive today. ssmile I did level 3 of Shred today for the first time. Was surprised I managed to do it - definitely wouldn't have at Christmas so just shows how much stronger the DVD makes you.

Thinking of buying some more Gillian DVDs to keep the momentum going - her Shred one is the first exercise DVD I've ever followed past the initial try.

Fizzybee · 26/04/2012 08:29

Wow
Was 12st 5 1/2 last week

Am 12st 0 1/2

Week 1 - 5 pound lost

Can't belive it was that easy as I haven't felt deprived at all on the meal plan and I've learned lots of new cooking skills . Has shown me what a difference not eating processed and takeaway food really makes !

greenfig · 26/04/2012 10:36

Morning! Fizzy that's fantasticSmile I too have success to report- a new pb low hurrah! Has renewed my enthusiasm & am determined not to be back to square 1 after the w/e now I have a shiny new number on the scales that I haven't seen for many yearsGrin
How are you all today? Are you keeping up with the running BPM?
corriewatcher & ssmile I'm Jillianing too. I bought NMTZ, 6w6p & BFBM after shred. I pick & choose depending on how I feel but I think I favour NMTZ. leo I have joined MFP after your post, I love the reports, I'm a sucker for a chart to keep me motivatedHmm

ssmile · 26/04/2012 14:25

fizzy that's Brill well done.

corrie well done on level 3, I've really surprised myself by what I've been capable of and been recommending the dvd to all my mummy friends :) I've actually got a little shape in my upper arms now....I've never had muscles there :o

greenfig I'm going to look at the other dvds thanks for recommendations I'd never done fitness dvds before but the shred has been Brill as there is just no time to "go" to the gym with two kids but i can squeeze 20mins in when baby asleep. Are her other DVDs a similar length?

Well I've had crap week food wise so far, definitely a PMT week mega demand for carbs& sugar but today I've walked 90mins and resisted "bad" food choices so I think turning the hormonal corner again. I will be utterly amazed if I lose anything this week but shouldn't put any on either as I've hovered around 1800-2000c limit daily and I need to eat 1200-1400c to lose a pound I find.

OP posts:
greenfig · 27/04/2012 09:57

No I hadn't either. i've always been active but not at all into more formal exercise iykwim but I love Jillian as it's fast, it works & I like her motivational comments. 'this is not your mothers workout' is a favouriteGrin
I think the others are slightly longer but are broken into circuits so you can just do 20 mins if that's all you have. NMTZ is more weights/toning, I have only managed L1 6w6p but obv tummy based & BFBM more cardio. Good luck with your weigh in.

ssmile · 28/04/2012 15:52

Well Saturday is my weigh in day its been crappy week with raging grumpy hormones but I think I've lost 0.7lbs! Ok not my best week but no gain, I've averaged 1600c a day on MFP so I knew the loss would be minimal but I'm at my lowest weight now for six years, ie pre-children :)

How is everyone else doing? I'm finding the endless grey wet cold days this week make me want to eat stodge, jam sponge pudding, custard, bakewell tart.....oooh I could go on but I have resisted so far.

OP posts:
greenfig · 01/05/2012 12:04

Resist ssmile you've done so well. NO WEATHER RELATED SABATAGE!!
I'm down to a new low, yay, but still not pre babiesSad Only a few lbs to target though.

Corriewatcher · 01/05/2012 14:42

Weighed in at 9'4 which is a 1lb loss. Pleased about it as only want to get down to 9 stone. Have been good at doing level 3 shred with the odd run, so hoping for loss next week too. Just hope things get a little drier!

ssmile · 02/05/2012 06:28

Well done on new low greenfig
I've been "enjoyin" level 3 too corrie
Well spent all day in bed yest with tummy bug, no food so not a nice way to lose weight :( but should do this week! It was the best flipping day too brilliant sunshine my friends went to beach for picnic with kids after school as the weather been SO wet last week or so, Hohum hope the sunshine today so I can chill out recovering with baby.

Leo35 · 03/05/2012 12:18

Haven't checked in for a couple of weeks. Wk one lost 3/4lb (11st 4&3/4) and this week lost 1.5 lbs, so now 11 st 3.5lbs. The weight is not exactly falling off, but it's going in the right direction. Sticking to the regime overall, esp not overloading carbs bit of evening meal.

People seem to be going well. I guess the joining in aspect is spurring us all on! Hope you are feeling better today ssmile.

Going to have a bowl curried butternut squash soup for my lunch. And a roll with no butter!

Fizzybee · 06/05/2012 14:09

Well I weigh in at 11st 11 this morning Smile

The diets going well couple of minor slip ups but I'm finding I'm not hungry and am enjoying what um eating

So for my own memory

Start 12.5 st
Week 1 12.0 st -5 lb
Week 2 11.11st-4 lb

ssmile · 06/05/2012 16:34

fizzybe that's Fab well done, its so good when you get losses it really spurs me on.

leo35 its going in the right direction that's the important thing!

I finally hit my "lost two stone" target since 3Jan so I'm pleased, I need another 12lbs now to achieve my "lose 40lbs by my 40th birthday" goal :) got 6lbs to lose by holiday on 9june is my mini milestone. Hope everyone else is doing ok.

OP posts:
Fizzybee · 06/05/2012 18:22

How many weeks is that you've been on your diet ssmile?

ssmile · 06/05/2012 20:41

I started "healthy eating" regime and using MFP first week in Jan, I've steadily lost 2lbs a week with a 'break' most half terms as eldest at school, the last couple weeks slowed to 0.5-1lb a week but still going in right direction :) all baby weight gone now I'm just trying to get to a healthy BMI. So its been two stone in 4months in total so far.
