Going to weigh in tomorrow, am horribly bloated today so don't want to skew my starting weight. Anyone want to join me? I've been having a rough ride ocer fhe last few months, i lost 3 stone last year, but am half a stone up from comfort eating and i.want ro stop faffing and get rid if the last stone (and a half if i can manage it). So it's going to be tough, like a boot camp from home. I always say i wish i could afford to go on one like the slebs!

My rules:
Exercise every day
Drink 2 litres water a day
Go to bed early, and no later than 10pm (staying up late worrying sets the next day off to a bad start, leads to nibbling etc)
No caffeine
No sugar
Low carb
Record food and progress on here daily
Accep this will be a dull, tough month, but get on with it anyway!
NO MOANING. NO CHEATING.

Right, gunna read up on Zoe Harcombe, might give it a go. Will post weight etc tomorrow.

stuff? what stuff? i need veggie detail.

shinecrazydiamond · 23/03/2012 11:29

Right - food assembling!

Here are a few shining examples...

Meal one - half a bag of rocket, roasted red peppers, roasted butternut squash slices [ Waitrose do nice ones in a packet in the fresh food aisle Wink ], roasted cherry tomatoes and a crumbling of goats cheese.

Meal two - stir fried sugar snap peas, mange tout, orange and red pepper, mini portabella mushrooms, marinated tofu, splash of garlic and chilli oil.

Meal three - torn salad leaves, half a light mozzarella ball, plum tomatoes, half an avocado, splash of balsamic vinegar.

Meal four - A pre prepared fresh salad [ just leaves and peppers, generally ] with cubes of feta cheese.

Et voila!

shinecrazydiamond · 23/03/2012 11:31

I kind of live off variations of the above. Breakfast tends to be natural yogurt with berries or kallo brown rice cereal - sometimes I do an omelette - although it's not an omelette that anyone else would recognise...more of a mad pancake. This morning I have had a box of taste the difference black grapes which were delicious.

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 23/03/2012 11:35

cheers, shiney. Grin

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 23/03/2012 11:36

btw wtf is this kallo stuff? is it nice?

Pompbear · 23/03/2012 11:39

Another pound off this morning but god i'm struggling. On atkins i rely quite a lot on diet coke, sugar free jelly and atkins bars as the occasional treat. Hadnt realised how addicted i am to sweet stuff. Its killing me! But so far so good, no cheating.

Hope everyone else stl on track. Love the sound if some of your meals shiney

No, kallo rice cereal is not nice. It is just puffed brown rice and is recommended by ZH. So, it's kinda like rice crispies, just not as tasty.

pomp- A lb down is good. I'm partial to diet pepsi.

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 23/03/2012 11:52

must investigate, thanks.

the diet drinks are KILLING YA, btw. Grin

Right - yesterday's food: b. aubergine crustless quiche and bacon, Lunch: chorizo with salad leaves, grated cheese and olive oil dressing, dinner: aubergine quiche and 2 squares of 90% choc - drank herbal tea, decaf coffees.

Didn't mean to crack with the choc but at least it was 90%.

Was 12st 2 this morning, 12st 3.5 yesterday so steadily going down and losing the 6Ibs of bloat I put on last weekend. No booze last night -hurrah.

This morning: crustless quiche, bacon, egg and mayo, later on 2 sqs 90% choc and a decaf coffee. No idea what I'm having for lunch - going round to a friend's house so it might be soup.

playnicely · 23/03/2012 12:01

Kallo puffed rice tastes like those polystyrene chips you get in packing cases - imagine them with milk poured over - yum!

shinecrazydiamond · 23/03/2012 12:30

BIWI- Thanks for that, very interesting. I stick to one or two cans a day and go weeks/days with none at all - so I don't have a 4 litre a day habit or anything but i do struggle to give it up completely. I drink no hot drinks so it's the only caffeine hit I get. I am convinced that it stimulates appetite as well. I do not subscribe to the school of thought that insists we must drink litres of water a day either.

Actually, I'd be quite happy to guzzle fresh ornage juice or Appletize all day long Grin

BIWI · 23/03/2012 12:49

... or wine!

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 23/03/2012 12:59

veggies don't have to, though, because so much of what they are eating is water. i like fennel and nettle tea, it's nice to have a hot drink and it's a diuretic so it all just peeshes off.

dinkystinkyandveryverybored · 23/03/2012 14:20

Right food today

  • costa light coffee and yoghurt for breakfast
  • chorizo and butterbean pret soup, 2 rice cakes and laughing cow light and yoga bunny detox drink for lunch
  • dinner: wasabi prawns on some kind of greens base (havent identified what it is from our veg box yet) and yoghurt, and a glass of wine
Pompbear · 23/03/2012 16:52

Hey Aitch! I know you.under a different guise from way back when on.blw! Havent been.on fir a loooong time tho.

OP posts:
AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 23/03/2012 20:40

well hello mystery-addicted-to-sweeteners-lady! honestly, give them up. three days of misery and it's OVAH. Grin

shinecrazydiamond · 24/03/2012 19:09

hello all!

Well, I was pretty good last night while out on my meal. I had a goats cheese and red onion tart to start [ very small! ] , then grilled halloumi with grilled vegetables for main. And err 3 glasses of white wine. No dessert.

Today I am not really full of appetite so have had a stir fry with lots of veg and some black grapes. That's it and I probably shan't bother with anything else now. Have had a can of pepsi max too. Hmmmmm.

How are we all getting on?

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 24/03/2012 20:39

oops.

in fairness i fell off my bike today and am INJURED so i deserve it.

dinkystinkyandveryverybored · 24/03/2012 21:14

Sounds very virtuous Shiney. Aitch - ouch. You're really in the wars at the moment - hope you're not too badly injured. Doing ok here but currently watching West Wing and drinking wine... and due to have some ice cream shortly

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 24/03/2012 21:25

do you know what, it was my dodgy ankle gave way while i was standing up to get on the bike. i fell to one side and rather spectacularly was prevented from hitting the ground by the fact that my THROAT, yes THROAT hit a foot-high metal fucking FENCE. so, yah know... not too badly injured as it turned out but my neck is about to turn some right funny colours tomorrow.

BIWI · 24/03/2012 21:48

OMG, Aitch! That could have been really serious. Sorry to hear that. Malaysian curry sounds like a necessity in the circumstances.

playnicely · 25/03/2012 10:36

Aitch - that sounds awful! Full of admiration for your intention to get on a bike though Smile Hope the bruises aren't too colourful today!

Big breakfast of crustless quiche.
I was at a kid's party yesterday and ate lots of little cucumber sandwiches and a teeny weeny bit of chocolate cake.

Dranks lots of grown-up pop last nite but didn't eat much apart from stolen bits of garlic bread from the kids and bits and bobs of sweeties/crisps.

Am 12st 1.5 today so still managed to lose half a pound -is a testament to just how much I must have been gorging on before!

dinkystinkyandveryverybored · 26/03/2012 11:08

Ouch Aitch - hope your throat is feeling ok today. Lots of drinking in the sun over the weekend and TOTM started today so not expecting any real loss this week but my clothes are starting to fit better and the sun is still shining so all is good

Pompbear · 26/03/2012 13:29

Not a great weekend, dh bought me an ice cream which i ponderd about for ages, and the scoffed in a nano second and once the floodgates were open...

Back on track and nit very hungry today.

Hope you're ok Aitch! Good curry?
