Who is up for a stone off in a month?

MeremetaLoucoDiamant · 13/02/2012 22:49

Or maybe as close to that as we can get?

I am size 14, would love to drop a dress size for a specific date next month and I am possibly 20lbs ish overweight, so a stone would be a great starting point.

I am vegetarian but attempting to low carb.

So.... who's in?

Still here, just over a week in and lost 3lb.
Breakfast - omlette and an orange

dinner - spinach salad with sausages.
loads of water today.

Morning all! Didn't manage shred DVD last night, ended up having a nice bubble bath with dd then just chilling out watching some tv after she went to bed. Still didn't go myself till after 12.30am which is something I need to change!! Dd sleeps till about 7.30/8am but I still feel knackered due to my late sleeping Sad

I got on scales this morning (only plan to on a Monday but I needed to see a loss to motivate me) and I'm down to 14.8 (from 14.13 on Monday) Grin. Last wk I know I was 14.10, I'm blaming those extra 3lbs on the Saturday night takeaway Blush so really iv lost 2lbs which is great!!!

Today I'm planning toast and honey for breakfast, maybe omelette again for lunch as it was yummy yesterday and I think a wrap with chicken strips, peppers etc for dinner

Have good day everyone Smile

shinecrazydiamond · 29/02/2012 13:12

Afternoon all!

Been busy today having my hair highlighted so had no time for breakfast. I have decided to do the Zoe Harcombe diet - anyone know anything about it? So I have stocked up on Phase 1 foods - this phase lasts 5 days and people lose on average between 4 and 9lbs.... sounds OK to me! Anyone tried it before?

So, today I have eaten some live natural yogurt and 30g of Kallo brown rice cereal stuff. Later on I think I will have tofu with veggies. I'm wondering if I can bear to eat white fish a few times over the next 5 days. Maybe....

Anyway, another lb down today - 18lbs in total since January 21st. I'd love another 5lbs by Sunday. Possible if I stick to this plan?

shinecrazydiamond · 29/02/2012 13:12

well done fuzz!

shinecrazydiamond · 29/02/2012 13:13

how you feeling dinky?

hi fitflop. All going well?

dinkystinkyexpectations · 29/02/2012 13:36

Hiya Shine! Not doing too bad - lots of dozing and icing my leg. My mum and dad are down for a couple of days to keep an eye on me and help out with kids so also trying to fend off my mum who is intent on feeding me up - the crutches are coming in handy for that...

Good luck with the Zoe Harcombe diet - know a couple of people who've done it. They found it a bit restrictive but you're so disciplined you'll be fine - and am sure changing around your diet abit will give you a loss too.

shinecrazydiamond · 29/02/2012 14:02

its very restrictive for the 5 days but i am hoping for 5 or 7lbs off by Sunday. Currently sipping a cinnamon and fennel tea. Fuck me, it's beyond vile

Oh NOOOOOOO re your mum feeding you up!

tibni · 29/02/2012 14:52

Hi all, I am still following along, and very impressed with how well everyone is doing, but have been overloaded with work so not posted much. Also have a no scales issue - gym scales are really "out" and fluctuate too much to take any notice of.

Dinky - hope you are soon on the mend and good luck shine.

Well I think im doing ok. I have managed to change my eating without going into over restrict mode which is always a danger with me. I am really enjoying the food that I am eating and all the fresh tastes. After a few days I was wondering why my default is white toast and crisps when I am stressed or tired when other food tastes so much better - but I know I can easily return there so I must keep myself in check.

I am managing to get 4 gym sessions in a week and have restarted my running as well as going for a brisk 45min walk with my work friend during our lunch on my long day 8.30-7.30. I am feeling better and know I have lost some weight so I am happy.

Hope you are all having a good day

FuzzzyDuck · 29/02/2012 15:04

shine you are very disciplined!! That's great though, fingers crossed for your loss!!
I ended up going out around 11am so had to grab some lunch on the go! Resisted the McDonalds and Chinese and instead had an m&s sandwich, crisps and water. Not the best but had limited options! Got the little sushi pack to have later. Still have around 450 cals for dinner, but I'm starting to feel hungry now (had lunch at 12) do might go make some carrot soup as dd just away down for nap. Figured I can sip on it then have dinner around 7. Not sure what it will be yet, just know it will be loaded on the side with salad!!!

nenevomito · 29/02/2012 20:58

This has been a bad bad bad week of diet - the worst so far.

Bad weekend - putting back on 1lb.
and I am on, so may have accidently eaten DDs chocolate penguin left over from xmas and then found solcace in a packet of biscuits after DS's paed appt today.

Bollocks. I need to get back onto the wagon and then some.

Mumsknow · 29/02/2012 21:08

shinecrazydiamond · 29/02/2012 22:16

hi mumsknow and welcome! 4 stones? Well the first stone starts here... what plan are you going to follow?

back to it baby... but a chocolate penguin?!? coyldnt you have gone better than that?

todays eating for me under my new regime. day 1 of day 5 complete...

kallo rice cereal with natural live yogurt

omelette with sugar snap peas, red pepper and broccoli

Actually- that is not much is it? I will address this tomorrow

JustRedbin · 29/02/2012 22:21

Shiney, your diet seems light on fruit. I recommend fermented apple juice.

shinecrazydiamond · 29/02/2012 22:24

redbin!

how did you find me? I have name changed lots lately...

and no fruit - im low carbing!!

nenevomito · 29/02/2012 22:25

It was the only chocolate in the house - poor dd. I'll buy her an easter bunny to make up for it and try not to eat that as well.

I've got a couple of RL friends who are on the Harcombe diet and have reported good things about it and its worked for them.

shinecrazydiamond · 29/02/2012 22:29

baby - yes, it makes sense to me plus i want to see what weight i can drop in the 5 days. it'd be interesting to see.

i LOVE malteser bunnies

JustRedbin · 29/02/2012 22:31

Shiney even though you left out the "on" my amazing detective powers (helped by the aforementioned fermented apple juice) and of course the active tab led me to this thread. Grin

shinecrazydiamond · 29/02/2012 22:33

god, you're still brilliant!

LaVitaBellissima · 29/02/2012 22:37

I'm still eating healthier and have completeted day 3 of the Shred, it already feels much easier, I just find the half press up tough.

Hope everyone's doing well!

LaVitaBellissima · 29/02/2012 22:38

Completeted Confused does anyone know how to turn off the automatic spellcheck on an iPad?

JustRedbin · 29/02/2012 22:50

tern off the wot?

shinecrazydiamond · 01/03/2012 07:17

Morning...

well weighed this morning and am 3lbs down so happy with that! 19lbs since January 21st. 7lbs to go until my first goal which will take me to normal weight. Bloody hell!

If you can consider 'hardcore' for 5 days then this Zoe Harcombe is the way to go...

ferfuxake · 01/03/2012 08:03

Brilliant shine! I have tried harcombe in the past but it was a bit too hardcore for me. Nonetheless I think I lost 5 pounds in the first 5 days.

This time I have her in mind, but mainly I break most of her rules almost daily!

Anyway I am chuffed today as I have lost almost 7 pounds so far, despite much cheating. Onwards and downwards!
