putyourhatonsweetie · 19/03/2012 10:47

hello hello I am still (a)round.

have been slack at posting - very busy few weeks, sorry.

maintenance week for me this week, but was lucky to get away with that as this week I have had wine twice, beer once and a day off on sunday!

back on it today, cereal for breakfast, watermelon for morning tea , roast veg wrap for lunch and curried chickpeas for tea. also need to shred at some point

hope everyone else has good monday weigh ins

Fairenuff · 19/03/2012 16:26

Sounds like a good start to the week putyourhaton Smile. I'm glad to see you're still with us. Yay, now we can be the Famous Five Grin.

I have lost 1lb at wi today and am planning to have a really good week this week.

SparkyMcSparrow · 19/03/2012 16:47

Well done Fairenuff

I love the famous five! Grin

Another 1lb off over here.:)

Its amazing how the sunshine has got me motivated today! Makes me want to do things rather than feel like I have to.

fazsaeed · 20/03/2012 08:07

Famous five has a nice ring to it.
Well done sparky!

Fairenuff · 20/03/2012 08:28

Well done Sparky Smile

(Just don't call me Dick) Grin

mrspepperpotty · 20/03/2012 10:06

Well done on your weight loss fairenuff and sparky, and well done for maintaining putyourhaton. Agree the sunshine makes me feel positive!

putyourhatonsweetie · 20/03/2012 11:56

thanks for the encouragement all - can't seem to fit in any bloody exercise so hoping you lot will at least help me stick to the diet!

mrspepperpotty · 20/03/2012 12:01

Don't try and be superwoman putyourhaton - going back to work will make it harder to fit in exercise, but give yourself a manageable goal. How about 20mins of exercise once or twice a week, would that be realistic for you?

After the Easter holidays my youngest starts playgroup 3 mornings a week so I am hoping to be able to fit in more exercise after that and definitely not spend the extra time having coffee and cake with my friends

SparkyMcSparrow · 20/03/2012 12:44

putyourhaton Mrspp is right, just set small goals for now. It must be hard going back to work, I know it would take me ages to get into a new routine.

Maybe go for a brisk walk round on you lunch break?

Just done a weeks shop at Lidl. Cost me £43.69 I am impressed!

And I would very much like a medal for avoiding all the cheap yummy looking chocolate! Grin

mrspepperpotty · 21/03/2012 06:49

I'm impressed too Sparky!

Gained 2lb at my weigh in today - disappointing but not very surprising - holidays are hard! Back on the wagon now...

Fairenuff · 21/03/2012 16:25

Am having a really good week so far Smile. I resisted chocolate easter cakes and hot cross buns in the staff room today. Haven't been doing much exercise though but really busy at work so still getting my steps in. Anyone doing anything for Sport Relief?

SparkyMcSparrow · 21/03/2012 18:22

Well done on resisting!

mrspepperpotty · 21/03/2012 21:39

Well I had a rubbish day today - I think it was something to do with saying 'oh fuck it' after my disappointing weigh in. Arghh! Help me re-focus, girls!

Fairenuff · 21/03/2012 22:25

Mrspp take a moment. Look at your starting weight at the beginning of this year and how much you have lost so far. If you had not put in all that effort you would not have lost any weight.

Imagine where you want to be this summer. In three months time, how much weight would you like to have lost. Even if it's just a few pounds, your clothes will feel looser and you will feel fabulous.

You only need to stick to diet for another 6 days. Next time you get on the scales do you want to feel pleased with yourself, or annoyed that you didn't try hard enough.

I always used to wish I had a magic wand. That I could lose this weight 'just like that' . . . until one day I realised that I do have a magic wand, I just didn't use it. Because if I had tried this hard last year, or the year before, or the year before that I would be the weight I want right now.

So where do I want to be this time next year? Still trying to shift the same old pounds? Or living in the skin I know I deserve with a healthy active body and feeling fabulous about myself.

There's only one way to get there Mrspp and no-one else is going to do it for us. So get back on that diet and do it like you really mean it!

There - are you re-focussed now? Blimey, I think I am! Grin

mrspepperpotty · 21/03/2012 22:47

Wow thanks fairenuff. You should be a motivational speaker!!

You are absolutely right - thank you for reminding me of what I want. Tomorrow is a new day and I am going to wake up feeling DETERMINED!

Night all.

SparkyMcSparrow · 21/03/2012 22:50

I'm going to print that and stick it on my fridge Grin

fazsaeed · 21/03/2012 23:45

Lol
Good speech
X
Wish me luck with tomorrow.
Ds has to go to emergency gastric clinic.
They will be admitting him again
X

Fairenuff · 23/03/2012 08:21

Morning Smile. It's a beautiful day here, sun is shining, birds are singing, and it's Friday, yay!

Ds has to run round the school field today for sport relief. He's not impressed Grin. It will do him the world of good. And it's for a great cause too.

Faz how did you get on yesterday at the clinic?

Have a good day all x

putyourhatonsweetie · 23/03/2012 08:39

thanks so much all of you, I am heading for another maintenance week I think but you have all helped xx

mrspepperpotty · 23/03/2012 09:46

Well the determination worked, I had a good day yesterday food-wise and went cycling too! Feeling much more positive.

Hope it went well at the clinic faz?

Have a happy healthy weekend everyone.

SparkyMcSparrow · 23/03/2012 16:54

Hi all,

Howd it go faz ?

Glad everyone's keeping on track!

Ds has been ill AGAIN! We are into day two and he has barely eaten a thing. Hes so skinny anyway so I worry about him when he doesn't eat as he doesn't have much reserve.

I haven't been brilliant this week, too much wine and I have had a comfort lunch today in a vain effort to get ds to eat. Also had a ice cream today as we were out at the park and ds didn't want it Blush ,next time I will chuck it!

Be good over the weekend!

fazsaeed · 23/03/2012 18:21

He's defo having feeding tube put in on 12th as the tests show he has severe reflux.
It won't cure it but it will help his nutriction.

What do they feed kids with peg tube? Hmm
Hasn't the weather been lovely :)

Fairenuff · 24/03/2012 11:15

Faz I have no idea what you will feed him but hopefully it will all be really good, nourishing, low salt food and he will gain weight and get all those lovely vitamins and minerals he needs to grow into a stronger little boy Smile. And it will give you a break from worrying constantly about him whilst you consider his next step. Hope it all goes well x

fazsaeed · 24/03/2012 14:01

Thank you very much :)
I met another mum who has a reflux baby. Shes 8 weeks old and I've just said get her checked by gastric team so you can be on right treatment before it gets worse.
If gp would of taken ds seriously ds wouldn't be so 'ill'
Really pisses me off. I'm writing to pct to let them know that this has happend and could of been prevented if the idiot did something
