Here we go again Slinkies Grin
Can you believe we are starting our third year together? We always said we were in this for the long haul, well we weren't kidding!

So stay and enjoy success, the support and the lunacy. There will be ups and downs, but we will do this together.
So Wine Cheers

I have a low-carb diet book of sorts by Anna Richardson who says give up alcohol, but she does suggest a ginless tonic - smear gin around the rim of the glass so you get a taste!

I really fancy the bottle of pear cider in the fridge now as can't have it after tomorrow.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/04/2012 20:41

Shock at smeared gin!

Go for the cider Trim - have a look at the gin I'm having on fb - tis so strong!!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 15/04/2012 23:33

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/04/2012 06:19

Been bad and dropped off the wagon Blush Will join in BIWI's bootcamp - but keep coming here for moral support as you lot "know" me.

Mum is on her last legs - but my fear is that it could be weeks or even months rather than the days my dad is hoping for :( It's a horrible time of limbo.

That is my excuse for my current weight of 12stone 11lb BlushBlush - I need the bootcamp as the Rugby Club Ball is on 28th April and I'm going to have to get back into that red dress as I'm not buying a new one! Grin

I've been very good today - did the Shred, went for a half hour run (c.3 miles), went and did the 10 minute session on the shoogling Ab-Fabs machine and am about to go out for my Pilates Class.

Pretty I am so sorry to hear about your mum Sad

GettinTrimmer · 16/04/2012 21:00

I am finding this low carbing difficult going the whole hog - will have to think of some recipe ideas being veggie. Although I don't mind a bit of fish.

Not had the required amount of water today.

No fruit though.

But have had (slapped wrists Trimmer) a slice of toast, 2 ryvitas and a very small piece of homemade pizza.

Will try harder tomorrow. But my calorie intake has been I am sure lower today than normal.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/04/2012 09:21

pretty ,sorry to hear about your mum :(

trimmer, keep going

piste - your carbs were yummy on monday lol Grin

i fear i will gain on friday, as most of you know sadly on monday 16th it was a year since my dh died and went out with friends and ate and drank everything in sight (including pistes pots) - but think i am excused

but yesterday and today/tom i shall be very good but if i gain friday i promise i wont moan - tho may wimper a bit Wink

bebejones · 18/04/2012 21:43

Pretty - So sorry to hear about your mum

Blondes xx

No excuses for me, need to get my head in the game. Physio officially signed me off just before Easter so I need to start doing some proper exercise. Been doing some Wii sports with DD so might step up the boxing on that & am thinking of getting a Pilates DVD to help with my back.

smokinaces · 18/04/2012 22:30

Pretty sorry to hear about your mum x
I crept back up to 11st 7 so am on the bootcamp. Day four tomorrow and weigh in. Eeek.

GettinTrimmer · 19/04/2012 09:19

bebe I remember did the boxing on the wii fit, well done for getting back into the exercise

smokin Hope wi went OK if you've done it yet.

piste I did lurk on the bootcamp and noticed you've lost some, well done!

Read with interest BIWI posts about low carbing, i don't have the commitment to full low carb (and can't get my head round it), BUT greatly cutting down on wheat products I have noticed less....erm.....flatulence! Also don't eat carby things at lunchtime and cut down at evening meal by half what I normally have.

I am also not as hungry since cutting down greatly on carbs and eating more protein. Really hoping for a loss tomorrow.

I am also doing myself a chart and aiming to lose 2lb every week until my birthday in early July - 10 weeks. At least I am feeling like I have some control back Smile

Have an interview next week in a library and if I can feel a bit more comfortable in my smart stuff it will make a difference. fingers x'd.

smokinaces · 19/04/2012 19:15

I did three pounds :-) this morning was back down to 11st 4. And this was from 11st 7 - and at one point after my blow out of pizza, cake, crisps et all I saw a 11 9!! So mega chuffed!!!

Not sure on the low carbs bread alternative I have made, but my broccoli and stilton soup is yummy :-)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 20/04/2012 06:55

Good luck with the job Trim

Yes lost two, still within the range so still at target, but hoping to be back in the 9s. Low carb is tricky though, I ended up eating nothing really yesterday except a handful of left over chicken, because I was too disorganised, and too busy. All in all not good. And it doesn't mean you lose weight any faster either.

Having scrambled egg in a mo, so already its a better day Smile

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 20/04/2012 08:15

the results on low carb are impressive though piste, that is commitment not to reach for something carby when under pressure, I think I would have done.

I haven't lost as much weight as I'd like but I would say it's only Monday since really pulling in the reins. Lost 1lb. I am DETERMINED to lose 2lb next week. Someone seriously kick my backside if I don't....

good luck to anybody else wi today. Blondes how are you finding counting those syns on sw?

prettybird · 20/04/2012 08:17
