So, here we have our nice new little thread. No food type is banned from being mentioned. It is Xmas afterall Xmas Wink. So pull up a comfy chair, I've put a good film on the telly for you, put some logs on the fire and laid out some snacks. We have stollen, mince pies, chocs, shortbread, smelly cheese and crackers, wine and baileys.

Feel free to add anything else!

This thread will self destruct later in the new year, so don't worry about confessing to eating naughty nibbles, or putting on the odd pound (or 8).

Enjoy, and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Xmas Grin

Ah, oh well draw a line under it and start again tomorrow.

Dd has suddenly turned eeeevil. She has poured a pint of milk over our entire food delivery and then tried to lick it up like a cat. She then somehow ripped into a box of cornflakes and ate some of those as well as eating a whole pear while watching me wash our food shop Grin. Where is that bloody husband of mine when I need him. Oh that's right, he's revising having a pint with a mate.

TheScarlettPimpernel · 18/01/2012 18:24

RIGHT, I am so proud of myself it's ridiculous, but....

Instead of accepting I had cocked up I have completely changed everything we were eating tonight and made loads of deletions/low cal substitutions, so that even though I admitted to MFP that I had inhaled loads of extra food I am now only 32 calories over, instead of about 450 Grin Grin Grin

Dinner will be slightly smaller and less interesting but I don't care: I WON A SMALL BATTLE!

God, I'm lame Blush

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/01/2012 18:31

Well done!

TheScarlettPimpernel · 18/01/2012 18:42

I mean...I mean....it's almost as if I'm not a helpless victim of my own appetites after all! Grin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/01/2012 18:56

I'm impressed, once I am norty I can't stop myself.
I've got horrible period pain and I am ready for bed now. I'm waiting for DH to come home and I'm hoping that he will cook tonight.

pixiestix · 18/01/2012 19:15

Well done Bloof! Will power like that deserves a chocolate orange massive loss next week.

Poor Cheese - that will be me in about 48 hours. At least you arent updiffed so you can have a gin and slim line.

pixiestix · 18/01/2012 19:16

oops. Who is this Bloof of who I ramble? Blush Grin

TheScarlettPimpernel · 18/01/2012 19:40

I dunno Pix: I think I heard someone talking about her once and apparently she's amaze Grin

Yeah I am just really glad I have learned a wee lesson. I hope it sticks...

we have just bought a new set of turbo-charged robotic scales for the princely sum of £17, at Mr Argos' Wonder Emporium. They are amazing. They are weighing the same as the old ones, but it shows body fat (EEEK!), BMI and water %. DH has discovered that he is borderline obese too, so they have been a good investment already if it helps him get fit. Speshly since I'm sure it's his weight gain that is making him snore like a sodding combine harvester Angry

Bee mate, thinking of you.

Cheese, am arfing at your DD coming over like a naughty kitten with her face in the milk Grin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/01/2012 19:48

I kind of remember someone called
bloofer, she was mildly amusing Smile

Yep, how did you guess? I have gin, pixie

bee

pimpy jealous of the new scales!

Had the spaghetti carbonara from the magazine, it's v good! And so easy.

debka · 18/01/2012 20:31

Evening all,

TSP I am so impressed, it is easy just to embrace the nortiness and just think bugger it, but you didn't. Much respect.

cheese that's weird of your DD! Confused My nearly 1yo is fast developing a will of her own, trying to change her nappy/ get her dressed is like trying to dress a snake you've trodden on. Let her go for a split second and there's a semi naked baby streaking out of the door, just turning in time to give you a cheeky grin Grin

Been incredibly busy today but managed a run after girls in bed, and ate my post run weetabix with a teaspoon (CBA to wash up a full size spoon) and it made it feel like way more than 2 and a half and all the crumby bits from the end of the packet

B- bacon, egg, pear
L- Pasta N Sauce (meant to have some fruit but forgot)
D- tuna and veg pasta bake (oops, pasta twice, was an emergency super quick dinner)
S- weetabix

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/01/2012 20:36

I know, it was really quite funny looking back at it. She was so proud of herself. She is also a wriggly worm come changing time. She's so quick, I often have to hange her nappy while she is engrossed in
CbeebiesBlush
Impressed with all the running debka!
Right I'm off to do the list!

Hedgepig · 18/01/2012 21:15

Well done Doomers.

pimp well done on your diet recovery tactics you did fantastically well today and the scales sound amazing and so cheap.

I'm exhausted an all day work meeting followed by a school governors meeting and then get DS2 from nursery and take DS1 football, I seriously want chocolate at this moment.

Bee did you get anymore info about the possible house?

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/01/2012 21:25

Oh well done everyone. Well, almost everyone, but we still find something to applaud every member for at my rl group, even if they've gained half a stone!

If my advice about marriages was worth listening to bee then I'd have a better one myself, so I'll stick with offering sympathy/manly punches if that's ok.

and if it makes you feel better, dh and I have only 'had relations' once since ds1 was born over 3 years ago, and yes, that did result in ds2

Food for the day
B - onion, courgette, mushroom, cheese omelette
L - crab and rice noodle salad
D - greek lamb with orzo (from the new 'all in one' book - will put recipe up at some point as was delish). Mango.
Snack - half a banana (had to share with ds2), apple

Ooh that leaves me a HE to have still, so might have some weetabix or toast in a mo.

TheScarlettPimpernel · 18/01/2012 21:46

Oh wow, well done on the list everyone! I am so so impressed and hope your respective discipline and success rubs off on me Grin

Commiserations to those who maintained or gained. I've woven my own dunce hat out purest lard and garnished it with flakes from a chocolate orange. Happy to give you a lend of it if you like

Riapwhatyousow · 18/01/2012 21:50

well done losers, and STS-ers, and panic-not about gains, they will be gone next DoDSmile

sorry I missed the list. -1lb for me this week. So -1lb in total as I am starting again having regained my xmas loss and then some

am off to catch up on thread and then watch TBL with DH (who lost 3lb. git.)

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/01/2012 22:13

I hate chocolate oranges btw. Vile combination of flavours.

Hedgepig · 18/01/2012 22:19

I love chocolate orange, my absolute favourite

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/01/2012 22:20

God I love them, i'll have the hat thank you! Grin

Riapwhatyousow · 18/01/2012 22:26

I like orange creams, orange matchmakers, and Fry's orange cream bars. but I can tolerate chocolate orange if that's all there is! (we used to get one every christmas as kids, my mum now buys them for our kids insteadHmm)

TSP huge respect for your willpower and decision-making tonight. I would have chosen option A.Blush

pixie I agree with the others (despite currently having my head firmly in the sand and trying to work through my wobbles on my own this time again), start your HV, mine have been fabulous with each of the boys, with DS3 my HV organised a referral to my GP within days. and if you feel you can't go ahead without your DH knowing, tell him it's not about "your business" (or however you said he put it) but about your health and wellbeing, which could impact on him and your DC more if left to flounder. IYSWIM. Have a , hang on in there, and take care. And post as much as you need to get things off your chest and make yourself feel less alone in this hideousness.

(you too bee) any news on the house? (I agree with you about not needing a new thread with lots of "leav the b'stard" comments on it. Not helpful right now) wish I could be of more help.

DH is watching Jackie Chan... I want Biggest Loser!!!

I recorded the magician series kid. Am looking forward to watching it.

TheScarlettPimpernel · 18/01/2012 22:37

I reaaaaally want some crappy over-sweetened chocolate now!

Well, I have planned tomorrow's food down to the calories in the 1/2 tsp of olive oil in the salad dressing

B - Coffee and yogurt (not all at once Hmm)
L - Vietnamese Chicken and Mint Salad, plums for after
D - Cheese and roast veg gratin, green salad, some choc for dessert.

Thanks for cheering on my tiny tiny show of self-control. Bit paffetic to be so pleased with myself over something so little but I'll take what tiny triumphs in life I can. I ain't proud Grin

TheScarlettPimpernel · 18/01/2012 22:38

Also, Ria, what wise words. Hope you're doing OK pix, pal.

pixiestix · 18/01/2012 22:42

Well done everyone! Especially Hedge and Debka - 3.5 stone!! Shock Envy Envy

I'm alright TSP - ploughing manfully on. Boiler is fixed at any rate so I have just had a scalding hot bath up to my chin - thats gotta make a girl feel better! Grin

pixiestix · 18/01/2012 22:44

Totally missed your message, sorry Ria Blush Thank you
