Just in case anyones up and about early.

Don't email anyone, just post your weight (ideally for me!) or if you can't face it, just post your loss.

Good Luck and I'll e-mail you all the chart on Thursday with our progress.

Furball - glad to hear it. I only asked because you said earlier that you didn't know if you could be bothered.

Furball · 13/01/2006 15:03

well, it took my mind of the biscuits if nothing else!

I am doing ok again today. I only drank 1ltr of water yesterday, but we were out and about so probably a good thing! Only up to 1ltr now - but will go and catch up in a mo!

I even managed to resist a Macdonalds as both my boys had one as a treat! Also just resisted the urge to finish my youngests bag of buttons. He said they were horrid!? How could he?!

I am making my own bread as we speak (cheers breadmaker ) and just had oatcakes with hummous on and just washed and chopped some strawberries so will pick at them!

I can't believe I am doing so well - I am usually pants and have usually succomb to temptation by now! I can only thank you all here for giving me this motivation!

JenumGeranium · 13/01/2006 16:48

Plus I must be doing something right - I have been pulling my trousers up all day

chickenrice · 13/01/2006 17:00

Furball and UCM, many thanks for all the effort you have put into the chart. A lot of people on the chart do appreciate the time you have put in. I must say it is very motivating to see the losses.

I have been doing quite well so far. Not denying myself anything, just having everything I want in moderation. Together I am sure we can do it, even if it takes a few months.

You could go for pasta in tomato based sauce or they do things like warm chicken salad.

OP posts:
JenumGeranium · 13/01/2006 17:10

The warm chicken salad sounds yummy!

Do you think though that it would really be the healthy option? Just wondering cos Macdonald salads are supposed to be worse than the burgers.

TaiTai · 13/01/2006 18:04

It is worth checking the calorific value of the chicken salad. Maybe Pizza Hut's website will have some nutritional info on it - I think McD's does. Certainly at McD's a plain hamburger is really not that bad. Even a small portion of chips is not that many calories as an occasional treat.

JenumGeranium · 13/01/2006 18:10

Thanks TaiTai

I will go and have a look for a website now!

bubblerock · 13/01/2006 18:19

Ok, I have been thinking about this all afternoon and really don't feel I can continue on here, I was hoping that if I walked away and came back to it then the way Tai Tai directed her nasty comments towards me wouldn't affect me but every time I look at that personal attack I feel sick - sorry but I am not a confrontational person and hate anything like this, I don't believe there was any need for it at all.

The only problem I had was that I and others couldn't read the chart, I wasn't rude towards anyone or unappreciative. As I have already said, and furball can confirm this, I spent a long time this morning trying to find a way around it, including a free webpage and a yahoo group with database similar to the card makers.

I am not going to lower myself to personal insults on here or anywhere else, to be honest I hate even posting this but I won't just disappear under a rock even though I've wanted to

Keep going girls!! I'm going to, I will lose that stone!

JenumGeranium · 13/01/2006 18:22

Awwww Bubblerock please dont go!

I do know what you mean though as I hate anything confrontational too.

But still - please dont go!

JenumGeranium · 13/01/2006 18:32

looks like the warm chicken salad is the winner!

if i'm reading the details correctly the salad has 1.5g of sat fat and the hi-light pizza has 8g of sat fat!

UCM · 13/01/2006 18:36

If, and it's a pretty big if I get a chance. I will convert chart to Word and bang it out to you all that don't have excel. It very possibly won't be until next week and will only contain weights not losses.

UCM · 13/01/2006 18:40

OMG have only just read Bubblerocks post. Don't go. After all the probs we had trying to get you in the first place cos' of the confusions with Bubbles. When people are losing weight/giving up smoking they get irritable.

DustAnyone · 13/01/2006 18:57

Tai Tai, I think what you posted was out of order.

I am one of the people you were implying were too 'thick' to open an attachment in an email.

I have Hotmail and found the email in the junk folder (without being told to do so!) I also have Excel.

However I still could not open the attachment for reasons I have previously stated. Neither I nor Bubblerock were blaming Furball (or anyone else) for this, just stating what had happened.

I, too, will be leaving this thread. There was no need for the personal comments that were made.

figleaf · 13/01/2006 19:17

What if I posted the chart as a pdf file to anyone who can`t read it in its current format?
As Furball has done all the work it would only be a few clicks for me to do this and hopefully it will restore the happy Mumsnet carma.

If alot of folk leave this whole thread may fizzle out and as I say I find it really motivating.

jambuttie · 13/01/2006 19:50

I FOUND THE CHART IN MY HOTMAIL JUNK MAIL!!!!!!!

YEE HAAAAAAAAA!!!

Thanks furball and Ucm for charting all the weight of us lardys

busywizzy · 13/01/2006 19:50

Oh dear Haven't been able to log on today as DH has been working from home so has occupied our office all day (how inconsiderate when I have important MN business to attend to )

Was sooooooo sad to see how upset some people have become. We have been so good at supporting each other and now some of our gang don't want to be here any longer I really hope they change their minds in a day or two when a bit of time has passed and maybe words won't seem so harsh.

busywizzy · 13/01/2006 19:52

Figleaf, sorry meant to say that I think that's an excellent idea as most PC's come with acrobat reader these days so hopefully the chart will be accessible to us all. Hooray, a possible solution??????

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 13/01/2006 19:54

I have just been naughty

After being so so good all week (even resisting fish and chips when everyone else had them!) I have just had a cadburys caramel and 3 little chiccie dijestive bards at 98 cals each. the caramel was 240 cals

so thats erm... 536 cals wasted

Apart from that today i have had..

2 tuna sandwiches
pasta with stir and serve and alittle greated cheese

Do you think I got away with it????

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 13/01/2006 19:55

PS - Dont leave people!!

JenumGeranium · 13/01/2006 19:57

I think you can get away with that Tamba!

busywizzy · 13/01/2006 20:00

No you can't Tamba - go and beat yourself with a big chocolate stick - but don't eat it afterwards as that will really blow your calorie allowance

busywizzy · 13/01/2006 20:02

Stupidly bought a whole box of cadbury cream eggs today for DH and DD whilst shopping. Now am trying to keep myself as occupied as possible so I don't creep into the fridge and eat one (or all) of them.

Did an hours workout today so musn't, mustn't, mustn't spoil the saintly feeling I've had all day.
