Just in case anyones up and about early.

Don't email anyone, just post your weight (ideally for me!) or if you can't face it, just post your loss.

Good Luck and I'll e-mail you all the chart on Thursday with our progress.

TaiTai, I know what you mean. I'm usually feeding my DS (9 months) at about the same time as I'm cooking tea for the rest of the family. The sight of his food combined with the smell of ours is really hard to resist. But you can do it and need to 1)keep a mental tally of all the calories you are consuming with each little spoon of the baby's food and 2)have something ready to eat instead. Tonight, I had a box of raisins and each time I was tempted to eat his delicious stir-fry, I popped a raisin in my mouth instead. In the end, he wanted what I was having

When you get on the scales on Tuesday and have lost xlbs, you'll feel inspired to be good - I certainly have been this week.

Good luck.

busywizzy · 12/01/2006 21:15

Oh Bubblerock, don't be down about a chart. It doesn't matter whether you can see it or not, you still get to come on here and tell us each week how much you've lost - and you're doing really great. I've been inspired by your commitment to exercising (my weakness really as I like to put my feet up and watch TV whilst DS naps).

Come on, I need you to be positive so I feel like getting the DVD's out and working my lardy backside

DustAnyone · 12/01/2006 21:30

Bubblerock, agree with you on the chart thing.

Diet wise, doing pretty well. Sultana bran for breakfast, ham sandwich and fruit for lunch, pasta for dinner. Ryvitas and fruit for snacks.

Bought some options hot chocolate sachets to take to work. I'm hoping they will satisfy my chocolate cravings when colleagues are reaching for the chocolates!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 12/01/2006 22:02

i also agree about the chart - could you not cut and paste it into word?!

shawn · 12/01/2006 23:06

I am doing ok so far, made a huge pan of Vegetable soup. Every veg. I could find, two veg. stock cubes and water. Basically no calories, you can have as much as you want and it is quite 'sweet', if you have a sweet tooth. My sweet standby is the big snack-a-jack chocolate chip rice cakes. They take longer to eat and every so often you get a chocolate 'hit' from the choc chips. just enough to get past the craving.

MrsSpoon · 13/01/2006 00:02

You could just post the list on here, person's name, then amount lost (no revealing of people's weight) and then we can all clap?

Loobz · 13/01/2006 00:06

Will e-mail you now furball - haven't been on much this week - family bereavement amongst other things so not been too good but on the other hand not been too bad either.

Furball · 13/01/2006 08:08

Right, I'm getting a bit hacked off to be honest. The original chart yes, was in word but would be alot of work for the person running it. I offered to do a chart in excel because I felt sorry for UCM having to receive, type in and work out manually information from 52 people, every week!

If you want to carry on and do your own chart - fine. I was only trying to make a hard job simple and it's just hassle after hassle. - I'm not sure I can be bothered.

OP posts:
Furball · 13/01/2006 08:09

PS - it's a too big to be pasted into word!

OP posts:
bubblerock · 13/01/2006 08:34

Furball - it's not that we don't appreciate what you've done, we do, and we've all thanked you and ucm for doing it. We are just saying that it's pointless having a chart that we can't see, I agree, it is frustrating, but it shouldn't take too much longer putting the results into a word doc.

I would like to be able to see the chart because that is one of the things that will encourage me, help me encourage others and make me feel part of the 'group'. Doing my own chart for myself at home isn't the same.

We are not being awkward on purpose, honest

SleepyJess · 13/01/2006 08:57

Why can't half the group see the chart??! I am tres confused!! Surely you can download a freebie of what you need to view it?? (sorry if that's too simplified!)

I have just realised that I emailed you my weight loss Furball and should have posted it on here.

Lost 2 lb. So I have to post my actual weight as well?

SJ x

Furball · 13/01/2006 08:58

I meant you can do the chart in Word for everyone else!

OP posts:
Furball · 13/01/2006 09:01

SleepyJess - that is exactly what I've been trying to say!

OP posts:
bubblerock · 13/01/2006 09:19

SJ - I've tried to download the freebie and it doesn't work for me Really am not trying to be a PITA.

Furball, I just emailed you a suggestion, hope you don't mind.

niccick · 13/01/2006 10:53

Well its friday night and I have had a bad day. Started off ok but couldn't resist the berry danish that I just had to have with my coffee for morning tea, then the large caremelo koala that I had with lunch and the pizza and garlic bread I had with tea. OMG I am so going for a huge walk tomorrow morning and I will be putting bricks in the pram so it weighs 30kgs instead of 20 and walking up ten hills . I have been doing yoga most nights though and I walked twice this week.

Furball thanks heaps for the graph that you sent through you did a great job.

Night girls enjoy the rest of you day

TaiTai · 13/01/2006 11:42

Bubblerock, as much a you claim you don't wish to be a PITA and you're not trying to be awkward, writing that "I agree, it is frustrating, but it shouldn't take too much longer putting the results into a word doc" makes you come across to me as a cheeky mare (and I'm being polite here). Yes, I'm being harsh, but Furball has gone to a lot of effort for free here and if you want it done in a different way, you should do it yourself rather than giving her direction. The chart was in
my junk mail in hotmail. I found it myself without having to send any messages to furball. The chart worked fine for me. I do wonder whether the technical problem is at the end of the user.

TaiTai · 13/01/2006 11:46

And one more thing, Bubblerock - if you think putting the results into a word doc as opposed to an excel programme shouldn't be much more effort, then you CLEARLY have no understanding of how these Microsoft programmes work and I reiterate again that the problem is probably with the user (i.e. you).

bubblerock · 13/01/2006 11:51

I've just spent most of my morning corresponding with Furball and trying to work around this and find a solution

SleepyJess · 13/01/2006 12:53

Oh dear.. shall we all just give up.. in view of the bad karma accumulating.. .. and BE fat and lardy forever! Only I am winter-cleaning upstairs and have just found some welsh chocolate I got for Christmas. I am feeling weak. And it would make a lovely lunch!

Furball · 13/01/2006 13:08

oh go on then - I'll share it with you and I'll fudge the chart figures for next week!

OP posts:
TaiTai · 13/01/2006 13:16

So you're still going to do the chart then, Furball?!

Furball · 13/01/2006 13:27

course I am - It's just that it's unfortunate that some can't read it.

OP posts:
teacups · 13/01/2006 13:59

I was very bad yesterday - found a box of chocs left over from Christmas, and ate abut 1/2 of them . Looks like no loss for me on Tuesday. Is it possible to have your jaws wired and your hands tied behind your back for the duration of the diet? Been much better today though.

Hang on in there ladies - still 3 days to go until the next weigh in so there is still time to be good. oFf out tonight for some Turkish food so will report if I found a low lard option and steered clear of the vat of wine which will no doubt be on the table.

Courage, mes braves

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 13/01/2006 14:00

I am being good today, had 2 tuna sandwiches and will be having pasta for tea. Dh has aked me to go to greggs and get him so doughnuts though! but i will be good!

figleaf · 13/01/2006 14:11

Just like to say that I also apprieciate the chart and the work UCM and Furball have/are doing.
I found knowing that I had to fess up to the weight on Tuesday motivated me not to go mad over the weekend.
I think it is very very kind that furball has spent all this time inputting our lardy losses.
