GoingForGoalWeight · 11/12/2011 23:04

I weigh over 25 stones. I expect to weigh more than this on New Years Day after all the festive scoff is over. Xmas Grin

I am going to start the Cambridge Diet - Sole Source - on New Years Day.

I have found my Consultant and we have met, she lost 13 stones in 9 months and has kept the weight off for over 7 years!

4 Cambridge choc mint shakes per day.

3 - 4 litres of water per day.

Anybody else planning on starting The Cambridge Diet in 2012? Come join me and we can support each other.

Xmas Smile

Having a bit of a crap day today. Had the shakes at lunch time with a sore head and felt a bit spaced out. Ended up having some bread and cheese which took the shakes away but I still have the sore head. Have drunk loads though so not dehydrated.

Bit annoyed as tomorrow is weigh in and I may have just blown it but really didn't have any other option.

GoingForGoalWeight · 08/01/2012 18:45

I hasd the shakes a little too, it's carb withdrawel, I was fine with a huge drink of water.

slalomski - a tip from a friend who did it successfully was if you feel you need to eat, avoid carbs but go for protein prefereably lean

FeathersMcGraw · 08/01/2012 20:16

hi Slalom I second Olympic about avoiding carbs if you get the shakes. I keep low fat cottage cheese for such occasions - just a forkful does the trick now...

GoingForGoalWeight · 08/01/2012 23:02

Anyone drinking sparkling water? i've tried isklar and san pellegrino. Hope the isklar comes in still too, off to check sainsburys website :)

I've read this thread with interest as I don't know much about very low calorie diets. I've taken a look at the different diets mentioned- solo slim and cambridge require you to meet someone in person, is that corect? A counselor or group? I don't think I could do that as most meetings seem to be in work time- I've done rosemary conley before but now can't find a single meeting within 50 miles I can get to! And I live in London!

One question to any of you doing the exante diet- I can't find on the site if you have to sign for a delivery, if you have to be at home. Or if they just can leave it with a neighbour or in the porch?

I have about 7 stone to lose so maybe a quicker solution would be best for me, as good as low GI has been for me!

ScarfOfSexualPreference · 09/01/2012 03:31

Sorry, meant lighter life not solo slim!

OlympicEater · 09/01/2012 10:39

Scarf I have bumped the Exante thread for you to ask. Its so long ago since I had mine delivered (I'm using up my stock that is 6 months out of date) I can't remember if it was signed for, but I am sure the courier would leave iwth a neighbour

ScarfOfSexualPreference · 09/01/2012 15:02

Thanks OlimpicEater- I emailed Exante and they say they will leave it with a neighbour/in a safe place no prob so I'm going to give it a go!

Overtiredmum · 09/01/2012 22:10

Greetings all, well done, keep it up!

Going, I am finding you really motivational - thanks.

Day 2 over for me and I am feeling pretty good and no hunger pangs at all. Weigh in went well with my counsellor on Sunday, we set a target of 35lbs, which is manageable for me, and then I will switch to WW to do another stone, which will hopefully get me down to 9.5 stone.

Also, I agree with the comments about if you feel shaky, keeping protein in the fridge for something quick to grab if you absolutely have to. I always keep a pack of pre-cooked chicken breast in mine with I'm on CD, just chewing a slice seems to register with the brain to calm down, and it won't throw you out of ketosis.

Hi All

I have read through this thread and all of you are a great help. I?m on day 2 and ok so far! I lost 1.5 stone in November but went away and completely ruined what I had achieved. I was so cross with myself and am now back on track. I have spent 12 years being overweight and the FAT has to go.

GFGW- You are really great for this thread and I hope you stay so strong and get to your goal weight. Can?t wait to see your pics.

Come on peeps we can look amazing by the end of 2012....

ablexy · 10/01/2012 14:07
