GoingForGoalWeight · 11/12/2011 23:04

I weigh over 25 stones. I expect to weigh more than this on New Years Day after all the festive scoff is over. Xmas Grin

I am going to start the Cambridge Diet - Sole Source - on New Years Day.

I have found my Consultant and we have met, she lost 13 stones in 9 months and has kept the weight off for over 7 years!

4 Cambridge choc mint shakes per day.

3 - 4 litres of water per day.

Anybody else planning on starting The Cambridge Diet in 2012? Come join me and we can support each other.

Xmas Smile

Day 3 and im in ketosis! Feel a great surge of motivation after i tested this morning .... However my pleasure and excitement did not last long as we had to rush my 14yr old dog to the vets .... Were hopin for her to make the weekend :( .... So, due to my emotions being all over as ive had her since i was 10 i ate :( .... Plain chicken but i am stil so angry at myself!! Does anyoneknow if i will stil b in keyosis after eating that?

Aww sorry to hear about your dog Claire I hope she pulls through.[busad]
I thought at first you were going to say you's consumed a whole Easter Egg or something! I'm sure a bit of plain chicken won't ruin things for you.
I've just been for an hour's brisk walk which I intend doing everyday if I can - I took my camera and got some lovely shots.
Take care over the weekend

I hope so to thanx juma :/ ill keep u updated ....

I have no idea why i went for th chicken i just walked in the house, straight to fridge and ate it there and then out of th plastic box!! It was like i was possessed haha ....
The walking sounds lovely how are u feeling?
Claire.

Thanks I'm good. Feeling pretty positive and motivated atm. Just had my meal and tbh I struggled to eat it all so it looks like my stomach is getting used to less food.
I live out in the countryside so walking is always a pleasure here - are you managing to get any exercise much?

Cl4ire - a bit of lean meat won't bring you out of ketosis - it's carbs that will do that, so don't worry!

Morganvan · 06/04/2012 18:37

Hi ,how is everyone doing ? I got my first weigh in I lost 5 pounds ,I know its a good amount but expected more ! My councillor thinks I have been taking too much fluid ,and to cut down a wee bit

Juma · 06/04/2012 19:00

Well done Morganvan! 5lbs is a good loss [busmile] Strange, but my consultant said that out of her clients, the ones that drank more than the 4 pints were the ones that lost most weight IN THE LONGRUN. We're all different and perhaps concentrating on having a good week rather than what the scales say could be a bit more productive, but I know that's easier said than done. Oh dear, my dear family are having an Indian Takeaway tonight so I'll be having a bath instead but I love them to bits as none of them are having any chocolate this weekend.
Hope everyone stays positive over the weekend

cockneydad · 07/04/2012 07:19

Hi Morgan - 5 lb is pretty good !! In general on SS or SS+ you can expect (on average) to loose 3-4 lb a week - over the last 9 weeks, my average has been 3.6 lb per week. I lost 4.75 lb the week but only 1.5 last week (despite having a weekend of heavy manual labour within that week!)

Juma · 07/04/2012 12:21

Hi Cockneydad that's a great average! It's a shame we allow the scales to judge us - it's great to be able to say I've had a good week on the diet - but it doesn't always show on the scales :(
I'm off to my daughter's in Hertfordshire for the W/E taking all my supplies and blender [busmile].

Good luck with your trip Juma, just keep going, it does work, even if you have a bad week or two!

Juma · 09/04/2012 19:48

Yay! I'm amazed at my own resolve this weekend - Easter without any chocolate - can't believe it. How's everyone else managed?

Cl4ire · 10/04/2012 16:03

Hi all :)
Hope easter weekend was not to much torture for you with all the temptations!!
I have my first weigh in tonight ... Fingers crossed i lose!!
Good luck to everyone keep up good work :)
Claire.

cockneydad · 10/04/2012 18:33

Good luck Claire, let us know how you get on - weigh in day is tomorrow for me - it will be almost 10 weeks I think.... so far about 2.5 stone lost.

Juma · 10/04/2012 18:54

Goodluck for tonight Claire.
10 weeks in Cockneydad! I guess it's all second nature now - have you estimated how much longer it could take to get to your goal or do you find that counterproductive? 2.5st over 9/10 weeks is great!
Jx

cockneydad · 10/04/2012 20:38

Thanks Juma - I think I want to loose about 4.5 to 5 stone, so probably about half way - aiming for summer (son number 2 due mid July, so be nice to shift most of it by then!)

Juma · 10/04/2012 21:35

Well that's one of the best incentives:) You'll need to be fit with 2 boys!
Good luck for tomorrow

Morganvan · 10/04/2012 22:38

Hi all ,hope you had a good Easter break x I was bad ! Out Saturday night and all day and night Sunday :(. Back on it Monday been perfect since then ,weigh in Friday so any loss is good !

mumof3boys01 · 11/04/2012 14:53

Day 1 for me again after a week blowout 8lbs gain Blush

mumof3boys01 · 11/04/2012 15:02

Feeling like a total failure can't seem to get past the 2st mark, start well then mess it all up again.Really didn't want to consider weight loss surgery, but feel that may be my only option.Certainly don't want to stay at 24st fed up with my life being on hold waiting to do thing like go on holiday till i lose weight.
On a positive note welcome all new comers nice to see the thread pick up pace againSmile

Morganvan · 11/04/2012 19:48

Mumof3 ,I am struggling in 2nd week ! Complete admiration getting as far as you have ! I am just trying to keep struggling ,I am fine in work but at night it's worse ,keep going and I will x

Juma · 11/04/2012 19:48

Hi Mumof3, good that you're back on track - hopefully you can catch some 'newbie enthusiasm'. We have a good thread going here, its nice and positive. Any hints or tips?

Yay! 9lbs Claire that's fantastic! That must have given you a real boost:) Pleased about your dog too:)
I'll be off in a couple of hours to get weighed - I've stuck to it well so I should have done ok.
Jx

Juma · 12/04/2012 19:30

Hi, a little bit disappointed with 2.5lbs loss on my second week especially as I've stuck to it but 9lbs over 2 weeks I'm happy with.
Head down and keep going. I've got a stash of bars, and can't wait to try them all
