GoingForGoalWeight · 11/12/2011 23:04

I weigh over 25 stones. I expect to weigh more than this on New Years Day after all the festive scoff is over. Xmas Grin

I am going to start the Cambridge Diet - Sole Source - on New Years Day.

I have found my Consultant and we have met, she lost 13 stones in 9 months and has kept the weight off for over 7 years!

4 Cambridge choc mint shakes per day.

3 - 4 litres of water per day.

Anybody else planning on starting The Cambridge Diet in 2012? Come join me and we can support each other.

Xmas Smile

How is everyone doing? think the sun is keeping me motivated ,doing all the spring cleaning and gardening ,finding it a bit easier as i have more energy.

cockneydad · 27/03/2012 11:16

OK here - blood test for liver function on Friday - but doing OK - not sure will lose much this week - but nearly 5 lb last week was pretty epic, so its all good.

Overtiredmum · 28/03/2012 20:29

Hope all goes OK for you Cockneydad x

mumof3boys01 · 28/03/2012 21:47

cockneydad · 29/03/2012 12:32

Thanks Overtired and mumof3 ! Weigh in for me yesterday, 2.5 lb off - not bad given the monster loss of nearly 5 the week before !

Good afternoon everyone, I have started the CD (SS+) today and would love to join in this forum for support and hopefully to offer support as I get more into it. I'm hungry! can't get away from it. I had the maple porridge which I wasn't keen on. Note to self - try different consistency. The spicy tomato soup was nice. 3 pints of water consumed so far (not difficult today as its so hot here in the NE of England). Looking forward to my 200 cal mini meal (Tuna salad). Plan on having the shake at about 8pm. I have read all the above and it has really encouraged me - I hope by day 4 the hunger pangs will have subsided. Look forward to chatting with you soon, Juma x

cockneydad · 29/03/2012 16:31

Hi Juma - Good luck, it gets easier after a few days !

Juma · 29/03/2012 17:39

Thanks, Cockneydad, Just had my mini meal - 2 boiled eggs never tasted so good!

Overtiredmum · 29/03/2012 19:26

Well done Cockeydad and Mumof3! Great losses! Welcome Juma! As Cockneydad says, it does get easier, and when you have your first week weigh-in, it will all be worth it!

Juma · 29/03/2012 20:07

Thank you Overtiredmum, just having my chocolate shake over ice and its really yummy:) I never usually drink milk shakes so I've got nothing to compare it with - maybe a good thing ha ha! Looking forward to the rest of the week.

cockneydad · 30/03/2012 08:14

Juma - a top tip for the shakes (the ones you make up from powder that it) - crush some ice, add it to the water and powder and blend with a food blender - you get a nice thick smooth shake!

Juma · 30/03/2012 11:52

Hi Cockneydad, thanks for that I'll give it a try. You don't have any magic formula for making the porridge edible - really can't stomach it - my consultant said I can exchange anything so it looks like shakes for brekkie too! Hope you're having a good day :)

cockneydad · 30/03/2012 13:19

Fraid not Juma - I quite like the apple and cinnamon one, but I know some people really don't like them ! Hope you find a good alternative !

Juma · 30/03/2012 21:13

Hi all, phew! feel lacking in energy today with a bit of a dull headache. I'm having my 4 pints of fluid so I guess in just the transition. Hope everyone has had a brilliant day!

Morganvan · 31/03/2012 07:05

Morning,I have just started today .i have been reading all your comments and I am so impressed by you all .i have about 4 st to lose and hope I can stick to it :)

cockneydad · 31/03/2012 07:38

Been struggling last couple of days - need to give myself a kick !

Morganvan · 31/03/2012 09:28

You are doing so well cockney dad ,keep going ,just visualise your goal ,I have three goals ,first a hen weekend ,end of may hoping to have lost 2 st ,second is wedding ,middle of July hoping another stone last is my 50 th birthday hoping I am at goal weight !

Juma · 31/03/2012 11:14

Yeah Cockneydad, you're doing so well and you're helping others!!!! I agree with Morganvan goals and incentives are the way to go. My goal is a size 12 green linen dress I've just bought - 2st to get rid of first!

Morganvan · 31/03/2012 17:24

Haha Juma I bought two dresses which don't fit me ! One for the wedding and one for the hen weekend ,I need to do this :)

Juma · 31/03/2012 20:40

Hi Morganvan - when my resolve is starting to wobble I hang my dress up to spur myself on! I wish I had a wedding to work towards, that really is an incentive:) When I've got my first stone out of the way, I'm planning on some killer heels to go with the dress! Stay strong:)

Juma · 02/04/2012 11:00

Day 5, CWP SSplus: Getting into the swing of it now - the best bit is not having to think constantly about planning meals & shopping. Just discovered toffee and walnut shake :o

goingbacktowork · 02/04/2012 12:49

Just to say I am still here (failing). I will be back on the band wagon tomorrow - not gained just not lost (due to eating). Here is motivation - my young daughter (6) said one of her school friends thought I was her "nanny" and not her mum and she said she thought it was because of my body (I am only just into my 40's!) Shock

Juma · 02/04/2012 13:55

Ouch! GBTW those sort of comments sting a bit don't they, but what can you say when it's kids? At least you haven't gained anything which is brilliant. Any advice for us newbies?

goingbacktowork · 02/04/2012 13:59

Believe me I am the last one you would want advice from - here was me thinking I was doing quite well (2 stone down) and actually I still look like a mountain. The key has got to be ignore and keep going - or I will still be in the same place in 6 months time!

Juma · 02/04/2012 14:20

Hey, Going, you've done really well to get 2 stones off - don't underestimate what you've acheived. Have you got a lot more to lose?
The very fact that you're still on here, prepared to admit to a slip up, but commited to start again, is an inspiration in itself!
Cheers! Brew
