GoingForGoalWeight · 11/12/2011 23:04

I weigh over 25 stones. I expect to weigh more than this on New Years Day after all the festive scoff is over. Xmas Grin

I am going to start the Cambridge Diet - Sole Source - on New Years Day.

I have found my Consultant and we have met, she lost 13 stones in 9 months and has kept the weight off for over 7 years!

4 Cambridge choc mint shakes per day.

3 - 4 litres of water per day.

Anybody else planning on starting The Cambridge Diet in 2012? Come join me and we can support each other.

Xmas Smile

cockneydad · 17/02/2012 11:49

Hi Forty - I'm sure you will be very welcome to join the losers (and non-losers during certain weeks!).

Today is the first day of week 3 for me. So far I am about 11 (maybe 12) pounds down. Had my first bar today - very nice !

Hope all is well!

FortynotFat · 17/02/2012 18:39

where is GFGW ??

GFGW I NEED YOU

FortynotFat · 17/02/2012 18:39

thanks cockney sounds like you are doing well

cockneydad · 17/02/2012 20:56

I'm surviving by eating little extras that are not really allowed - however, budget for the rest of the month is v tight, so I might have to stay very much on SS+ !

40thisisit · 18/02/2012 10:21

Hi every-one,

I'm re-starting for the 3rd time on Sunday (3rd time luck really needed!!!).
The 1st time I did really well & lost 21lbs in 4 weeks, unfortunately I then had an accident & so lost the plot. The 2nd time my heart wasn't in it I thought I could cheat , obviously not .

So this is my 3rd time and I'm totally geared up for it. I'm 40 in August & would like to be the same size I was when I got married 14 years ago.

I know it's goning to be tough & hard & I'd love any extra support/help/sanity you guys can offer, in return I'd like to be able to do the same to you all. There's some great threads on here.

cockneydad · 18/02/2012 11:14

Hi 40, good luck ! You can do it !

40thisisit · 18/02/2012 16:20

Thankyou cockney dad, at the moment I feel sick with the thought of failing again and am dreading the horror of getting through the 1st 3 days or so

slalomsuki · 19/02/2012 09:31

Been off this for over a week due to a variety of reasons not least half term. Will start again today or tomorrow if I can. The interesting thing is I haven't put any weight on this week but definitely don't feel so healthy and energetic. Had lost 13lbs in 5 week for me

Hi going I keep popping in and out of both threads, join us Smile

Weigh day and 15lb off this week Shock
My poor body doesn't know what's happening too it.

cockneydad · 20/02/2012 16:01

Hi all - day 17 for me and 14 pounds off so far ! It is getting easier to manage, overnight work thing later in the week, so will have to resist eating out!

Overtiredmum · 20/02/2012 19:43

Hi all! I'm back after a few days off with the kids and DH, which was lovely. Thats me just completed 6 weeks and feeling fab. Officially get weighed tomorrow, and that should have been 8-9lbs down for the last two weeks (I didn't go last week because of half term), but then got TOTM 4 days early on Saturday and I seem to have gained 2-3lbs which I'm gutted about. Just hope they shift between now and tomorrow morning!

The good news though is that although I may not register a massive loss tomorrow morning (which should show next week), my size 14 clothes are positively hanging off me Grin. I feel amazing and whereas I would normally be thinking about coming off now, I have decided to stay on CD for the next few weeks, but I will probably start to move up to Step 2 tomorrow, and then Step 3 next week, for a couple of weeks, then Step 4 for one to two weeks and then switch over to calorie counting, which I hope to go on to lose some more!!

I feel a tad guilty though, because it sounds like everyone else is having a struggle, but I hope you can find some motivation from me.

Going, glad you are back and feeling better. You should be able to shift that added weigh gain in no time as all, its probably just retained water where you have been poorly, as you body would have clung on to it to help you feel better.

Cockney, you're doing great - keep it up!

gloriana · 20/02/2012 21:06

Hello all, glad to be back and hearing all your great stories. I SO needed to hear them as I have been a bit bad on my weekend away and have got TOTM so only lost 0.4 lbs this week BUT am down to waist of 32 inches! I have been moved to 810 as I'm within a stone of BMI 25 and am hoping that a little more food will keep me on the straight and narrow.

Your stories are inspiring me to keep being good and stick to the diet. I will reach my goal, I will I will...

Welcome to 40! It is hard work but will be worth it.

Forty - I feel the same as am slinking back with tail between my legs.... Smile we can do it though!

GFGW - good to hear from you - you WILL be at your goal for your holiday! You have done so well and just because you have been on 810 doesn't mean that you won't continue to lose the weight. Your body obviously needed some time to recover from the diarrhoea and needed more calories to do that. But you can get that weight loss back now you are feeling better!

cockneydad · 21/02/2012 07:25

Morning all - sounds like a plan overtired, gloriana - nearly a BMI of 25, well done! GFGW - I wouldn't worry - just keep at it, you will get there !

Overtiredmum · 21/02/2012 17:33

Greetings all, had my weigh in today and I have now lost 22lb in six weeks and my waist is down to 29.5 inches! Am so pleased Grin.

Step 2 for me this week, and then moving up to Step 3 next week to see how I get on. Am feeling slightly nervous about adding an additional meal to be honest.

Overtiredmum · 22/02/2012 17:18

All very quiet on here today, hope everyone is doing OK. x

gloriana · 22/02/2012 21:56

Overtired - you are doing amazingly! Can't believe that your waist is 29.5 Envy

I have started new job and so that is good in that it's keeping me from eating but bad in that I just don't seem to be able to drink enough water. Am loving being on the 810 though - I really don't care what I'm eating as long as it's proper food. Still love my choc shake and bars but is so nice to look forward to a meal in the evening.

How is everyone else doing?

mumof3boys01 · 23/02/2012 10:31

Weigh in day today totally fucked up weekend and ended up eating loads of crapSadFeel so cross with myself. Been back on SS since Tuesday, have no idea how much i will lose/gain as my scales have broke. Not looking forward to seeing my counselor today plus i have to take my DS and her house is not very child friendly lots of cream and shiny glass, and DS loves to lick my glass windowsGrin so hope he behaves himself.Be back later to let you know how i get on

Overtiredmum · 23/02/2012 17:46

Hope it all went OK Mum, and your DS had a good time too Grin Let us know, but don't be disheartened x

Gloriana, well done, you're doing great too! I too am enjoying the 810, although I have been having my meal at lunchtime because its easier for me, but then it just makes me hungry, so am going to try and have it in the evening at work if I can.

Must admit, am looking forward to starting Step 3 next week - I have been dreaming of a bowl of museli!!

mumof3boys01 · 24/02/2012 09:07

2Lbs loss in 2 weeks least it wasn't a gain. How is every one doing it has gone a bit quite:).

cockneydad · 24/02/2012 10:54

Hi All, just checking in - been away with work last couple of days - not lost and not gained since, so 2.5 weeks in and I am down 14-15 pounds (depending on what scales I use). Hope everyone is well !
