GoingForGoalWeight · 11/12/2011 23:04

I weigh over 25 stones. I expect to weigh more than this on New Years Day after all the festive scoff is over. Xmas Grin

I am going to start the Cambridge Diet - Sole Source - on New Years Day.

I have found my Consultant and we have met, she lost 13 stones in 9 months and has kept the weight off for over 7 years!

4 Cambridge choc mint shakes per day.

3 - 4 litres of water per day.

Anybody else planning on starting The Cambridge Diet in 2012? Come join me and we can support each other.

Xmas Smile

Great Cockney Grin

I'm a bit hungry, got two shakes to go, too cold in the kitchen so I've been avoiding, for about two hours. Got bottle water warming infront of fan heater.
Will go now and make shake dash..

PLEASE NO SNOW TOMORROW - HATE THE DANGEROUS ICE IT CREATES

thanks for the encouragement all - will try to take it easy tomorrow and see how I go !

cockneydad · 04/02/2012 13:27

Half way through day two - not doing too badly - had to reach for the emergency lean ham earlier (just a couple of slices - I have done low carb before, so I know the score with ketosis). Just a bit tired and lethargic. Hope everyone else is OK !

tiredofbeingfat · 04/02/2012 14:11

Hi all :) well done on all your loses!!

I am on day 25 and due to be weighed again on monday but i have already lost 1st 2.5lbs (as of last monday)

I have tried to keep myself busy at work, i have redecorated my hall way and bathroom to keep my mind focused! I have a long way to go still ideally i would like to lose about 5 more stone and be a size14 any thing smaller eally would be a bonus!

GoingForGoalWeight · 04/02/2012 17:43

SNOW Angry

Very pleased with myself today Grin optimistic.

EXERCISE MYSELF HOT IS ON MY MIND

I live a few hundred yards from a gym Blush dreaming of the day i cam go in there and be assessed and get on with toning.

Of course it has nothing to do with the eyecandy in the weights room.

Hello, I'm starting CD tomorrow after 2 years of trying to lose baby weight (plus the extra four stone I put on post baby). I am a serial yo yo dieter, with probably some psychological food issues, but I HAVE to do something NOW, I'm getting desperate.
I have been reading this thread and it has inspired me to try CD again, for real this time - can I join? Blush

GoingForGoalWeight · 04/02/2012 19:29

Welcome ohbloodynora

I hope you have eaten all the food you wanted to taste before tomorrow :)

Please post everything you feel inside, helps you, helps us :)

Food is a bad habit we get into, we do not use it responsibly, that's how majority of us get fat.

Prepare to feel whatever you feel good or bad. Mostly good when ketosis sets in after about 2 days average sometimes 3 days.

Good luck, nice to have you joining us on the ketosis bus, no stops until GOALLLL X

Anybody can join

I'm hoping to address the psychological reasons I am addicted to food and hoping that not having to think about preparing it will help me to overcome the addiction.
Looking forward to talking to you all over the coming months :) xx

GoingForGoalWeight · 04/02/2012 19:39

How are you hoping to address the psychological problems? VLCD and therapy sometimes do not mix, i know i put on 9 stones last year.

You need a goal, a holiday? Thomas Cook offer low deposits of £75 pp. I have saved for a long time for our holiday. No way are chcolate, crisps, shytey food i do not need is going to stop me getting my arse in that plane seat orlooking awful on the beach. Grin

I'm seeing a counsellor soon - on a waiting list at the min. I do have a short term goal - a wedding in April, I'm hoping to get 2 -3 stone off by then x

GoingForGoalWeight · 04/02/2012 20:15

It is your choice how you diet so be prepared for the counsellor not to agree. My therapist doen't like VLCD and believes i'm way past dieting and should be healthy eating. Nope, I'm nowhere near,,,yet but i shall get there...

I have been to

www.lighterlife.com

for inspiration as it is a VLCD too :)

Going - you are doing brilliantly! 2 stone is AMAZING! You must be very proud of yourself.

Cockney - well done for sticking with it. It definitely does get easier!

Am finding it quite hard this evening as it's SO cold. And DH and DS have not helped things by ordering a Dominos pizza which smelt delicious. I was very good though and have not had anything apart from my lovely choc bar.

cockneydad · 04/02/2012 21:17

Thanks Gloriana, day 3 tomorrow - today I have had to have a little lean ham when I felt wobbly (I think I am in the final stages of using up glycogen). Going - sounds like you are doing really well. I looked at some CD before and after pics today on the minimim forum for some inspiration !

GoingForGoalWeight · 05/02/2012 15:36

Feeling tired today, due to chatting online until early hours!

Worked out should lose another 2 stones 7lb in next 10 weeks, at least! Hopefully, more!

Going to have second shake of the day!

Thank you to all for the encouraging comments :)

If you're reading, say hi.

cockneydad · 05/02/2012 17:17

Day 3 here - tired, irritable, feeling wobbly - hope ketosis kicks in bu tomorrow, as I have a very busy day at work and have barely functioned today.

GoingForGoalWeight · 05/02/2012 17:23

In the morning Cockney day 4. Check the ungredients in the ham slices etc. If not off the bone meat, you are eating carbs.

Let us know please. x

OP posts:
cockneydad · 05/02/2012 17:31

Hi GFGW - I am a low carber of old - I have only eaten a small amount of lean meat - virtually no carbs, have cut down caffeine (not eliminated completely) and having lots of water - hoping things get easier!

GoingForGoalWeight · 05/02/2012 17:35

OK cockney, A teeny amount can tip thebalance and i was told the more you low carb the harder it is as your body knows what to expect. Go to supermarket and buy a load of off the bone meat and freee itif you can. Not in a bossy way as you do know better than I, but i want you to feel better for work. In a caring way :@)

Toobig4school · 05/02/2012 18:17

Hi all,
Day 3 is a killer sleep it out as much as possibles u shld defo be in ketosis tomorrow.
I am absolutely shattered and can't wait for this snow to melt away and let me lead my life as normal.
On a happier front got weighed today a shocking 7 pounds don't know how, this now makes 32 pounds in 5 weeks. All I can say is as hard as it feels and gets it works better than any other diet Ive ever done before and so worth it to see the scales go down rather than up.:)
