GoingForGoalWeight · 11/12/2011 23:04

I weigh over 25 stones. I expect to weigh more than this on New Years Day after all the festive scoff is over. Xmas Grin

I am going to start the Cambridge Diet - Sole Source - on New Years Day.

I have found my Consultant and we have met, she lost 13 stones in 9 months and has kept the weight off for over 7 years!

4 Cambridge choc mint shakes per day.

3 - 4 litres of water per day.

Anybody else planning on starting The Cambridge Diet in 2012? Come join me and we can support each other.

Xmas Smile

Overtiremum Are you planning tokeep clothes that no longer fit as they're too big?

I'm going to send mine to the charity shop.

No more lycra or strechy clothes once i'm at goal. As soon as clothes are becoming tighter - back on the cambridge. I might carry on with Cambridge after goal and have an evening meal, hot drinks, perhaps a little fibre for breakfast. I put weight on super quick so i have to be careful.

Overeating is just bad habit for me :(

I do feel proud i went through pain yesterday whilst craving food i didn't need.

I said to myself in bed, look what overeating has done! Damage and harm.

Might go for one of those body scans one day see what damage has been caused by too much fat.

I'm ignorant as to whether damage can be reversed as it is for ex smokers...

Exercise until i'm HOT

I'd love tear trough injection and Botox - very far in the future.

You are all doing so well and inspiration to me. I am so glad I have this thread to keep me going. I haven't told many people that I am dieting but a couple of people at work have commented at the weight loss.

I had a bit of a clothes clear out today. Not really clothes that are too big but old size 16 clothes that have hung around for 10 ish years and probably wouldn't be worn when I get to that size. There is no doubt I have lost weight round my middle as waist bands are looser but I was a bit of a telly tubby before.

Will try to stick to the diet again after lunch tomorrow.

Keep up the good work everyone.

cockneydad · 02/02/2012 20:27

Been to consultant, have 7 days of products, know what I need to do, start tomorrow !! Bring it on.....

Toobig4school · 02/02/2012 20:44

So cold under my duvet and still freezing.
Just can't seem to warm up even though I've had hot drinks.
Gfgw I love your goals so similar to mine I'm dreaming of the day I jump back into the teens again. Been trying to do wii for 30 min but not in the mood this week I think it's cause Im bloody freezing any 1 else cold and can't warm up or just me

GoingForGoalWeight · 02/02/2012 20:47

Yay cockney

My prefect shake recipe

1 Kenwood - Smoothie to go - £25.00 - Argos

Polar curshed ice - £1 bag from Sainsbury's

1 McDonald's straw

1 Cambridge shake

Water - I prefer filter or bottled as i think the shakes tastes better

Put shake, heaped handful crushed ice, fill cup with water just past handle in STG cup - less than 200ml on packet - thicker consistancy

Whizz and drink in the STG cup.

How long is everyone doing sole source for ?
My consultant told me to go up a stage for a week around 6 weeks which is the week after next a bit exited to have protein and savoury as I only like the shakes find the soups awful.
I hope it doesn't set me back as I find not eating at all easier because I'm not tempted

Toobig4school · 02/02/2012 20:54

Thank god I'm not alone beginning to think I was going loopy as every1 else is fine

GoingForGoalWeight · 02/02/2012 20:54

Twelve weeks on SS then 810 for one week, then back on for twelve weeks etc

Bollocks day 2 and totally failed today Angry
New day tomorrow I guess, I'll start again. I've felt really Ill today and sooo tired grrr.

goingforgoalweight I didn't think of adding ice to the shake will give that ago.

Overtiredmum · 02/02/2012 21:18

I plan to SS+ for the rest of February, and will then probably start to work my way through the stages. I want to be off CD totally by end of March as I am going away for a week, although I may just take some packs so that I can just have breakfast and dinner.

I plan to calorie count when I am finished. I usually switch to WW, but find it is too easy to cheat, so will CC instead, probably around 1200 a day. I really want to get down to 10 stone.

Going, my clothes will be bagged up and like you, probably passed to the charity shop. Am looking forward to buying fitted clothes, instead of baggy clothes that hide my baby tum and flabby bottom!

Well done Cockney, make sure you stay on here for moral support!

I am like everyone else tonight, totally freezing, sitting at my desk, waiting for the hours to pass to home time! Coat on, hot cup of black coffee, and am about to put my feel up and read my book - only chance I get!! Honest, my job can be quite hard sometimes - really!!

Overtiredmum · 02/02/2012 21:19

Lolly - why have you failed - want to talk about it??

I also used crushed ice in mine too. Makes them slightly thicker, just like McDs!

My DH has promised me a new wardrobe of clothes when I reach target - foolish man! Grin

Lollyheart · 02/02/2012 21:23

No reason really just had no will power today, I know I can do it as done it before.

Overtiredmum · 02/02/2012 21:26

Never mind, as you say, start again tomorrow.

Thing with CD, your head really needs to be in the right place, doesn't it? Have done it before too, a couple of times. First time, lost 3 stone, kept it off, then fell pregnant. Second and third time, lost a stone each time, then gave up. Am determined this will be my last time - don't want to get another year older and another stone heavier

Lollyheart · 02/02/2012 21:31

This is my 2nd time, I lost nearly 3 stone last time, then I fell pregnant and put it all back on.

GoingForGoalWeight · 02/02/2012 21:32

Lolly - Try 810? I think the weight losses between SS and 810 are very similar. I've heard second time round is harder as you know what to expect, thinking of you and post what you are feeling, helps me to get it out :) x

Overtiredmum - oooh shopping will be fab, you'll feel fantastic, so deserved xxx

hey everyone i have started this diet this week and feeling a bit better now i'm on to day 4 but it is a lot harder than i thought it was going to be. the food cravings are crazy and i feel like a pig thinking about food constantly. I am going to do a ketosis test in about half an hour so hopefully it will be pink and it will have started properly

anyone got any tips on dealing with food cravings?

Overtiredmum · 02/02/2012 22:24

Welcome Blackout - glad you joined us!

Just keep drinking the water. You will crave food for a while, but it does get better, honest! I am on Day 26, mainly SS during the week, but then a very small meal with the kids at the weekend, want they to see me eating something, but they are at an impressionable age (aren't they all!) I don't think about food at all now, my day has become routine enough not to worry about it, I can prepare food no problem for the family.

You really will get there.

GoingForGoalWeight · 02/02/2012 22:27

Yeah, blackout, drink more water, sip all day, have an extra pack,
browse online clothes shops. rea Overtiremums posts, she has lost a dress size recently Grin

Yesterday was awful for me but i'm staying on plan, if it gets really bad you can have chicken, cottage cheese etc (810 plan), but i cannot trust myself no to start eating a load of crap again on top, so SS for me.
