GoingForGoalWeight · 11/12/2011 23:04

I weigh over 25 stones. I expect to weigh more than this on New Years Day after all the festive scoff is over. Xmas Grin

I am going to start the Cambridge Diet - Sole Source - on New Years Day.

I have found my Consultant and we have met, she lost 13 stones in 9 months and has kept the weight off for over 7 years!

4 Cambridge choc mint shakes per day.

3 - 4 litres of water per day.

Anybody else planning on starting The Cambridge Diet in 2012? Come join me and we can support each other.

Xmas Smile

cockney hi! :)

Remember to prepare, eat lots of meat, salad cottage cheese or whichever protien foods you like before starting Caambridge, if you can. Realluy helps to prepare mentally and physically.

Hope to see you soon.

Hi all, am having bit of a low day today - feel v headachy and faint. This is Day 5 so am hoping that it will settle down soon. Am v impressed with such weight loss from all! Will keep motivated but have now got to contend with DH worrying about me being faint.

GoingForGoalWeight · 21/01/2012 21:22

gloriana hi :)

Sorry you're having bad day but i think more water may help and one extra pack? If after that you still feel faint have a can of tuna in spring water or some chicken with some cottage cheese. Maybe 810 plan might suit you better? Let us know how you are to stop me worrying.

The weight losses on the weight loss surgery site is not as good as weight losses on Cambridge. Some of them eat too much STILL after all that. I'd probably do the same at some point, but i hope not. i really didn't want to go down that route.
Some losses are 1 lb per week or 2lb consustantly and they have similar weight to lose as i do.

OP posts:
GoingForGoalWeight · 21/01/2012 21:45

Considering the losses are via a 500 calorie consumption per day. 1 - 2lb is ideal weight loss but i am extreme morbidly obese and need to get fit soon. I do not want a heart attack or a stroke. Quick weight loss has to be worth it.

I've had 1.5 litres of water and one shake. Lovely weather today here, nice bright sunshine. I'm going to do every single bit of housework and washing today. Housework is exercise Grin

I shall come and have a look in the thread later.

The Cambridge Weightplanners forum is so dull and full of negativity.

I avoid it as much as possible.

Well a few days in and it has not been as bad a i thought it would be ,the only thing that i have found difficult is having to wee every hr because of all the water i am drinking, has anyone found the same and does it get better .Not to bad join the day but at night with all the weeing and a teething toddler i am missing my sleep.
My goal is to be able to buy clothes i like rather that i will buy it because it fits, not many shops cater for a size 32 Sad.
Going to stick with the 4 shakes a day next week, then i was going to have the porridge for breakfast then a shake a bar for dinner then a shake for supper.
Well done on your weight lose *GoingForGoalWeight you are doing brilliant,You are all doing really well.
Was going to set up my profile to start my before and after pictures anyone going to do the same.

GoingForGoalWeight · 22/01/2012 14:08

Hi mumof3boys I really thought you'd left us! :)

Yes weeing a lot too,but it has reduced in frequency. Weeing means you are drinking sa lot and your body is ridding itself of other fluids, including fat :)

TMI alert!

Sometimes i notice a white film on my wee, might be fat!

I wil set up my before and after profile but when there is a definate difference in my weight.

Had a good day yesterday and stuck to my products/calorie goal. Today is a different matter. Have a stinking cold and just feel like eating comfort food which I have resisted so far. Did have a ham sandwich at lunchtime though as I needed to eat.

Dont expect much at weigh in on Tuesday.

GoingForGoalWeight · 22/01/2012 21:07

Get well soon slalomsuki :)

I've just had my third shake, got almost all of upstairs clean. Good exercise! I let the house go so much as I could hardly move due to my weight and carb addiction.
Life is easier on my daily activites :)

Thanks going.
Feel a bit better today and have dosed my self up with cold and flu as I have a 13 hour day at work.

However am also feeling a bit more positive as I have to dress smartly today and the suit that didn't fit me for an interview a month ago is comfortable and smart today. Made me feel good.

Lost a gold ear ring though between the house, school run and work.

NotLivingTheDream · 23/01/2012 10:09

Just thought I would share my news: today on the school run, i got my first "oh my god, you've lost loads of weight" comment. Grin

That one will keep me motivated!!!
Have a good day all.

gloriana · 23/01/2012 14:14

Hi all, feel much better today. Think the problem on Sat was that I slept too much and so didn't have any water or food and my body was just telling me that it didn't like that one little bit!

Have been on 1.5 hour walk this morning with some friends so feel very good about myself (if even a little smug Grin). Off to first weigh in now so will pop in later to let you know how it went.

GFGW - thank you for your concern - you are a sweetie! Glad that you are still doing well - you are my inspiration Grin

Notliving - last time I did Cambridge I got a comment after a week and this time no one has said anything. Then I remembered that whenever I go out now I have a massive warm coat on and last time was summer! Well done you for getting a comment though - it makes it all worthwhile.

Suki - hope you get better

Mumof3boys - the weeing does for me too - I've been up at 2am every night this week!

GoingForGoalWeight · 23/01/2012 14:26

gloriana relived to know you're OK. WELL DONE for the walking! I need to start mine too. God weather we're having too, here. :)

slaomsuki my jeans are a nicer fit too, it is such a gorgeous feeling Grin

fortynotfat where are you? let us know so we can listen, non-judgemental support xx

I think it will take 6 stones off before people notice with me but i really don't want them too, just mind their own business! As i know they'll be watching to see if i pile it back on.

OP posts:
GoingForGoalWeight · 23/01/2012 14:39

To think about the fact I have SIX stones to go before I am in the 19 stones zone.

IS Shock

Oh well twelve months time I'll be there but still learning, of course.

OP posts:
gloriana · 24/01/2012 10:02

GFGW - at the rate you're losing weight it will be no time at all before you're feeling and looking much better!

I had my weigh in yesterday and I lost 4 pounds in 6 days so feeling very pleased with myself. Then I was SO hungry last night that I nearly caved in and ate something. I am on Day 7 today so hope that it is still settling down and that I will get used to it soon.

Miserable day here today so no walking - just want to curl up with a good book Grin

Hope everyone is doing well.

slalomsuki · 24/01/2012 10:25

Well done Gloria. I have wavered sometimes but I can see the difference and you will too.

Just had my "official" weigh in and another 3lbs gone this week and that's despite a weekend of eating. 10lbs in 3 weeks now and I can feel it.

Going. Keep at it and don't think of a large goal, break it down in to manageable targets. Mine is 2 stone out of 5 at least I need to loose and it seems achievable.

Overtiredmum · 24/01/2012 18:41

Hello, hello, hello!!

Well done everyone, seems like everyone is doing really well. I have had a lovely few days at home with the kids, have achieved absolutely loads, and feel great.

Being home with the kids, its not so easy to get away with not eating, so I have had to had a couple of small meals, one Friday and one Sunday. Official weigh-in was this morning, and was looking forward to it, until I woke up this morning for TOTM a whole week early, but still managed another 4lbs, which I am pleased with considering the small meals and TOTM, so that is now 12lbs off for me in 2 weeks. Am now on Day 17, and am doing great! Some of my size 16 trousers are now hanging off me, my hair is absolutely gleaming and I really do feel great (apart from TOTM!! Gggrrrrrrr!) I do think this is the most focussed I have ever been on this diet and feel really, really determined.

jess2007 · 24/01/2012 18:42
