2012 - New Years Day - The Cambridge Diet - Sole Source - Weight loss

GoingForGoalWeight · 11/12/2011 23:04

I weigh over 25 stones. I expect to weigh more than this on New Years Day after all the festive scoff is over. Xmas Grin

I am going to start the Cambridge Diet - Sole Source - on New Years Day.

I have found my Consultant and we have met, she lost 13 stones in 9 months and has kept the weight off for over 7 years!

4 Cambridge choc mint shakes per day.

3 - 4 litres of water per day.

Anybody else planning on starting The Cambridge Diet in 2012? Come join me and we can support each other.

Xmas Smile

It won't be anything flash and my DD will be there too. Since I have to go to his works for lunch, I may take myself a chicken salad, so I won't be deviating off track.

I find that my willpower is so much stronger this time round - I am very determined. I feel so much better about myself - this really is an amazing diet. My friend is also on this diet with me, first time for her, and she is doing really well too and was really encouraged by her first loss.

Thanks for the advice, I definitely will have a cambridge once I get home. I also have a delicious bar to look forward to in the evening too!

Ooooo really spoiling myself!! Grin

GoingForGoalWeight · 19/01/2012 22:03

lol

I'd love another baby :) I have PCOS. I'd want a girl this time. (bad GFGW).

I wrote a nice reply to mumof3boys but my netbook ate it. Will type again in a bit :)

It does feel for me as if I'm spoiling myself as you know I'm morbidly obese, the nutritional value in this diet has elevated my mood. I feel I want better for myself in all areas of my life :)

They do say..

Nothing tastes as good as SLIM feels!

It's great isn't it to feel so differnt so quickly even though it can be a little hideous at the start and the feelings of that something being missing. The ruine of food etc It is/was/always be a serious addiction for me.

AGHHHHHH

Totally agree.

I'm on Day 12 now, and I think it was yesterday, I suddenly realised that I hadn't thought about food all day for the first time since starting it! Can't say as I am particularly craving anything at the moment, which is odd, thought I would be craving bread by now. So its great that I am not.

I do think its more the routine of eating that is the hardest to overcome, as opposed to the actual food itself.

But hey, I can't complain, my house has never looked so clean!

GoingForGoalWeight · 20/01/2012 09:18

I'm cold again this morning.

Day 10 for me today! I have to admit it really hasn't been easy :( I still think about food all day! I have to wait until Monday for my first weigh in and I don't feel any different! My trousers are not loose, so I am hoping something has come off!

Well done to everyone on such great loses, I hope I will be joining you next week X

dollydonuts · 20/01/2012 23:44

Hi Everyone!
I thought i would join you all. It is nice to see the support that you give each other, and i could really do with some! I am going to start cambridge again tomorrow {yes i know saturday} but no time like the present. I thought if i share my weekly weigh in with all of you it will hopefully give me the incentive to do it properly, and not cheat like i have been doing. I'm sure that if i can just get through the first 3-4 days i will be fine. BTW i was supposed to start on jan 1st! which i did, until the next day, when i gave in to my cravings Angry. This is how it's gone on since then. Anyway keep up the good work everyone. I've got a lot of catching up to do! Smile I will weigh in the morning and post my starting weight.

NotLivingTheDream · 21/01/2012 10:19

Hi Dolly hope you are doing ok so far, like you say, the key is to get through the first few days. Just do anything to keep busy and have early nights to stop evening picking! Are you wanting to lose much?

I am on day nine of my post christmas restart and feeling great on it now. I have a few upcoming events so focussing on being slim for those helps me!

Have a good weekend everyone.

GoingForGoalWeight · 21/01/2012 11:18

Hi tired :) Have you got a good set of scales? If so weigh yourself at home in the morning unless you get discouyraged by no weight loss showing, it has to be coming off as the calories are so low. I think you'll be surprised to know on Monday you have lost. I've just started to notice feeling more comfy in my jeans.

I have a Salter digital which were about 20 pounds in Argos. Took me a while to get them, but managed.

Hi dolly Welcome! - You seem ambitious :) Have you got a goal? Maybe go to the travel agents and put a deposit on a holiday? Who doesn't want to look their best on holiday? Eat plenty of protien, no carbs the das before Cambridge worked for me. Good luck, hope to see you tomorrow.

GoingForGoalWeight · 21/01/2012 11:23

Notlivingthedream - Hi :) Good to see you and read your positive posts x

Having a goal to work towards ie upcoming events or holiday etc is a great incentive. Eat that food you are craving or feel overweight in that outfit or by the poolside etc.

I know which is worth more! It isn't tasty food we do without and don't really need. If really hungry have four packs of Cambridge per day instead of three. Four is a lot for me at the moment I struggle to consume them.

Hi All.
Thanks for your messages. Ok so far. My starting weight this morning was 17 stone 2 pounds Sad. Notlivingthedream- I need to lose at least a couple of stone, as i'm wanting to get pregnant. Doctor has said i need to lose some weight,as i suffer with high blood pressure, which is weight related.I have lost weight in the past and my blood pressure came right down. 17 stone is not a good starting weight for pregnancy,{in my case anyway} what with the higher risk of pre-eclampsia etc. Goingforgoalweight- I'm inspired by you! Well done with your weight loss. Grin Now you mention it, a holiday does sound good!

GoingForGoalWeight · 21/01/2012 14:20

Thomas Cook are offering low deposits i could have paid £75 per person with weeks to pay off the remainder. I didn't know holidays were paid for that way as my parents would decide to go and payin full so i saved the amount over three years.

After October I'm worried because i will have eaten and might not beable to get back on so I'm saving now for a short break in March 2013. About time!
Thinkingof the Isle Of Wight at the Premier nn for example.

Last Christmas i was 17 stones 2lb!

I think i might get down to that in June 2012 ish time.
