GoingForGoalWeight · 11/12/2011 23:04

I weigh over 25 stones. I expect to weigh more than this on New Years Day after all the festive scoff is over. Xmas Grin

I am going to start the Cambridge Diet - Sole Source - on New Years Day.

I have found my Consultant and we have met, she lost 13 stones in 9 months and has kept the weight off for over 7 years!

4 Cambridge choc mint shakes per day.

3 - 4 litres of water per day.

Anybody else planning on starting The Cambridge Diet in 2012? Come join me and we can support each other.

Xmas Smile

Morning everyone! Overtired - 8lbs is brilliant - well done you. And it aways helps getting comments from people that you are looking better.

GFGW - I do like the fabuloss comment :)

I am on Day 2 and don't feel too bad although it is a real struggle to drink enough water. It just begins to taste horrible. Do you think I can get some of the flavouring yet or do you have to be in ketosis? Am feeling pleased as my jeans already feel less tight (less like they are cutting me in half Grin)

fortynotfat · 18/01/2012 13:31

I have just made Rocky road as my dc having friends over this week. It has been my downfall loads of times. Please hold my hand till the bastard Rocky road is gone.

I am strong. I will not be fat and forty. Bollocks shit. I will not be fat and forty.

Apologies. As you were.

fortynotfat · 18/01/2012 14:06

All washed up and not a single sniff or lick. I can resist the Rocky road.

I will not be fat and forty

GoingForGoalWeight · 18/01/2012 17:20

Well done Going, thats amazing! And well done forty for not giving in to temptation. Great willpower!!

I have had a great day, Day 11 nearly over and feel marvelous, although a little tired but thats just from working straight through for the last 2 weeks with no days off, so looking forward to a nice long weekend this week. Last night in work is tomorrow - yipppeeeee!

Overtiredmum · 18/01/2012 17:37

Just treated myself to a gorgeous maxi dress for the summer - something to work towards!

GoingForGoalWeight · 18/01/2012 19:41

:)

Before October I might have to guess my clothes size for my holiday. I do not have suitable clothing for a holiday in the sun and i will still be around 3 - 4 stones overweight. I might just take a few things such as jersey dresses and kaftans for the daytime. Loose fitting clothing. They'll be good to use to as cover ups on my next holiday in May:)
I will take some shorts too and funky tights for the evening crappy entertainment :)

Well saw my consultant yesterday and got a bit of a non supportive lecture from her.

I was put on the 1000 calorie plan as I have some blood sugar issues so need to make sure I eat in the evening. Have been doing 2 products in the day then a low calorie meal with veg/salad in the evening. She told me to try to drop the meal which I said wouldn't work and the sugar craving would come in and the shakes would follow.
Tried it today and guess what blood sugar went too low so had to eat something sweet quickly which was chocolate. Am now really annoyed as it had been working well so far and had got in to a routine. Blew out big style and followed the chocolate up with bread and butter.

Am feeling annoyed with myself, annoyed with her and demotivated.

Overtiredmum · 18/01/2012 22:55

I think you need to tell her again the reasons why you are following Step 3 and that you need her to support you on this.

Carry on with what works for you lovely, you're doing really well. Put today down as an experiment, you know now you are right to be doing this, tomorrow's a new day.

Try not to feel too bad x

gloriana · 19/01/2012 10:46

GFGW - 1 stone is so inspiring! Well done you!

Overtiredmum - so glad that you are feeing good
Forty - am v. impressed by the resistance of the rocky road. That takes some doing Grin

I am feeling v headachy today (Day 3) and a bit low. SS seems just so hard.

DH has also booked a weekend away for one month's time and I just know it will be so hard to stick to shakes etc for the weekend. Also not very nice for him as he will be only one eating food at dinner. Do you think I should ask him to postpone the weekend or should I just go and try to manage?

gloriana · 19/01/2012 10:53

Suki - I agree with Overtired and think that you should get back to step 3 as soon as you can. There is no point in dropping the meal if it does not work for your body - much better to do something that you can stick to. Never mind the blowout - am sure that if you are good for the rest of the week you can make up for the bread and butter and choc Smile Keep up the good work - you can do it and you know what's best for your body!

Overtiredmum · 19/01/2012 17:45

Gloriana, I think you should go away for your weekend. Take packs or bars with you, there is no harm is stepping up to, say Step 3, for the weekend, so stick to the plan during the day, and then have a high protein dinner, lots of green veg/salad, sparkling water. Then when you get home, drop back down to SS. You will be absolutely fine.

Another good day today, and looking forward to a nice 4 day weekend starting tomorrow. Am planning on eating tomorrow, purely because DH has asked me to have lunch with him, but I will be good.

NotLivingTheDream · 19/01/2012 21:31

Hi everyone, can I join you? I started on 27/11/11 and had a couple of weeks off over xmas and new year. I have lost 2 stone so far and got 5 to go!!!

Overtiredmum · 19/01/2012 21:35

Welcome, NotLivingTheDream! Well done on the losses, did you manage to keep it off over Xmas?

GoingForGoalWeight · 19/01/2012 21:42

Hi suki
:) Agree with the advice you've been given so far. Maybe change your Consultant?

Hi everyone!

I'm still 100%, I feel lighter and a bit more agile.

Welcome to Notlivingthedream

You've done great so far, you'll be at goal in July if you stay on plan Envy :). All the clothes shopping, how good you'll look in the latest styles :)

OP posts:
NotLivingTheDream · 19/01/2012 21:48

Thanks GFGW, yes, cant wait for all the lovely clothes, unfortunatly I wont be buying many as I have a wardrobe full of size 12s from last time I did this
Blush Put it all back on following illness, marital problems and a new baby. Will not be doing that again!!!!

GoingForGoalWeight · 19/01/2012 21:48

I'm hoping for 9 and a half stone off by end of July:)
Weighing about 17 stones 4lb approx#
Tthen be about 15 weeks to my holiday so another 4 stone off would be great. My Consultant said this is very achievable if i stay 100% which i fully intend to do.
So, by holiday 22nd October i will be over 13 stones in weight. Still overweight!

God knows what clothes size i'll be then...about a 14?
I'm so glad i found this diet, it really seems to suit me, so far.

OP posts:
GoingForGoalWeight · 19/01/2012 21:50

What won't you be doing again? Having a baby and getting married? (hehehe)

OP posts:
GoingForGoalWeight · 19/01/2012 21:50

Talking of babies, this diet raises your chances of conception apparently :)

Glad you're doing well.

I'm having a few days off (work, that is Grin) and may not be able to get on here, so stick with it everyone, it will all be worth it!
