Well that's it . The fun is officially over and I am joining all of you. I've had a good today actually. Muesli to start the day (only a small bowl 'cos your jaw starts to ache!)some raw veggies for snack mid morning, ham salad roll for lunch. Then the panic started..I hate the time between coming home from work and making dinner for everyone and could usually eat a horse. Or at least make a serious dent in our crisp supplies BUT today I made soup and had a big pot of that. Finished with chicken stir fry and a Rosemary Conley choc mousse. Didn' get much sleep last night - thought of going back to work so am going to leave the gym till tomorrow. Off for a nice bath and an early night!

bubblerock · 09/01/2006 20:55

Well done Hulla, I keep forgetting to write what I've eaten but I should as I can see it getting harder, so, today I had branflakes with soya milk, sultanas and dried cranberries. Beans on 2 wholemeal pieces of dried toast. tomato pasta with grilled bacon and mandarins for dessert. Feeling okay, not hungry but a bit knackered today so won't be exercising unless I get a sudden burst of energy.

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 09/01/2006 20:57

I have had a bad couple of days - eaten unhealthy stuff etc. I doubt I will have lost any weight but will do better tomorrow.

I wont post what I have eaten its to

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 09/01/2006 21:00

Have as i said earlier.... except the melon..... saving that for just before bed.

Am i the ONLY one waking up STARVING of a morning????

DustAnyone · 09/01/2006 21:03

No.... me too!

bubblerock · 09/01/2006 21:05

I have been really enjoying breakfast and I don't usually eat any at all, I'd tend to have a bag of crisps instead at about 10am I'm going to have to go and buy some melons tomorrow - I really fancy one now

busywizzy · 09/01/2006 21:05

Bubblerock - yes please and thank you so very much. Did the whole Davina workout today (just over an hour) and feel inspired to exercise each day so yoga is great. Have always wanted to get into this so delighted I'm finally getting round to it. I will CAT you my address.

Have had a good day so am hopeful I will have lost at least 2lb at tomorrows weigh-in.

Cup of tea
Shredded wheat
Half a small gala melon after my workout
Baked potato with cottage cheese, low fat yogurt and a satsuma
2 x ryvita
Liver, small amount of mash and lots of veggies

Still not doing so great at drinking water but I'm getting through at least a litre a day so just need to up that really.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow girls - good luck everyone.

busywizzy · 09/01/2006 21:06

I've cut up the melon into chunks and put them in the fridge so whenever I feel like snacking, I get a couple of pieces out and have that instead. It's working for me.

bubblerock · 09/01/2006 21:07

Or email it busy - bubblerockjl25 at aol.com I'll get it in the post tomorrow AM, I'm finding it nice to do one day of aerobic and then one day of yoga (when I'm aching)

I love Davina - she's a babe!

DustAnyone · 09/01/2006 21:10

Whenever I dieted before I found I was good all day only to pig out in the evening but I have found a solution........ listening to music!

As I type I have ABBA blaring in my ears from my MP3 player and it's reminding me how great I will feel going out for the evening when I have lost weight!

Just made dh a snack of cheese on toast and as I was dancing round the kitchen realised I didn't want to join him or eat anything else (not like me at all, regardless of whether I'm hungry ar not!)

Just thought I'd share that incase it helps anyone else

bubblerock · 09/01/2006 21:16

You're sounding really strong - I think that's why I'm not struggling this time, I'm using the same strength that I found when i quit smoking - I have no idea where it comes from but I just feel really focused and mentally ready to get fit. When people try to quit smoking and they are not in the right frame of mind then it won't work and it's the same with dieting.

Ear infection is still doing it for me. Appetite has picked up a little today and DH suggested a takeaway tonight so I have had a curry but ate far less of it than I normally would.

bubblerock · 09/01/2006 21:21

We don't have a bath - I have a choice of 3 showers and no bloody bath, closest I get is the jacuzzi at the gym!

First day back at work today and boss had bought me:

Bottle of wine (yum)
Bottle of vodka (ugh)
HUGE box of luxury biscuits (drool)
HUGE HUGE box of Thorntons choccies (faint)

Why oh why????

MrsSpoon · 09/01/2006 21:38

Your boss is too good to you Myturn. I could help with the vodka problem!

myturn · 09/01/2006 21:40

Fortunately I loathe it. You want it? How can I get it to you? dh hates it too. Not giving it to big sis though, cos she likes it a little too much...

Dreading weighing tomorrow. Been really patheticly bad and am feeling very ashamed. I think I may have lost a pound though as I have been exercising quite a lot. How have you been doing? And how is your ear infection?

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 09/01/2006 21:42

dont forget everyone - dont weigh yourself until you have "unloaded"

a big wee and poo and its suprising how much you have lost!

Off to get my melon now that i have finished all my little "jobs" for this evening.

Finding exercise the biggest problem.... walked 10 minutes to toddlers, 10 minutes back and an hour in town and that is it..... i dont even do that much normally. What the hell CAN i do with a 17 month old and an 11 week old?!

MrsSpoon · 09/01/2006 21:47

LOL! That was a bit cheeky of me! You can always come to my Body Shop party first Fri in Feb? Was going to ask you anyway. Downside/upside (depending on how you look at things) is a mutual friend is bringing a chocolate fountain.

Ear infection, ear drum hasn't burst yet, seems to only be painful at night, although my hearing is very dull during the day (has advantages and disadvantages ). Hoping to be on the mend now.

Dietwise, I really haven't been eating much at all over the last week, although what I have been eating has been pretty calorific. May have put my body into starvation mode, the scales this morning (I know shouldn't weigh every day) showed a 6lb loss but I have had a takeaway tonight which will probably impact on that a bit.

Try not to eat all those biscuits and chocs!

myturn · 09/01/2006 21:49

Bleurgh at unloading

Walking is probably the best exercise you can get. My first 2 and second 2 both had 15 mths between them and I remember it being pretty hard work pushing a double buggy around. So perhaps just walking as much as you can will be enough for now. You use the same amount of calories as running anyway, without the strain on your joints.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 09/01/2006 21:50

excellent - thanks MT - lots of walking with the buggy tomorrow then!

MrsSpoon · 09/01/2006 21:51

JARM, that's the problem with takeaways, they stay with you too long! Exercisewise do you have a local leisure centre with a creche? Ours is fantastic, they take babies from 6 weeks through to 8 years, I'm very pleased with level of care my DSs have received there and there is a good selection of fitness classes you can attend or the gym.

Haven't exercised since before x-mas due to centre being closed and being ill, really missing it.
