Morning Dod'ers!

Here's a nice new shiney list for when the old one is full.

Pull up a squishy chair and feel free to help yourselves to the Sw friendly snacks. Posters from the old room will be moved in shortly Wink.

with you on the marzipan CSWS and with LilPuskaon the Choc orange nom nom nom
I had the Tesco Light Choices sausages 1syn each and they are pretty nice, not too peppery

LittlePushka · 20/10/2011 22:00

Sausages then,...linda mcCartney vegetarian really nice 2 sins each. Her Vegetarian italian ones are also nice and only a half a sin each.

Aaagghhh marzipan.....the work of the Devil himselfWink.

I used to study next to Terry's chocolate fctory and when the wind was right the smell of chocolate was absolutely divine.

LittlePushka · 20/10/2011 22:02

hi hedge - what new with you today? What is the sins tally?

WotsThatLurkingintheHEDGE · 20/10/2011 22:06

15 syns Blush so I'm off to bed before I have any more Grin

grimRiaper · 20/10/2011 22:09

there was a point at which the morrisons eat smart chipolatas were free (and the thick ones were 1/2 a syn possibly), but if nimble is now 2 slices for a HEB rather than 3 and quorn sausages have syns, I suspect the devil syns will have moved on and become somewhat less generousHmm

LittlePushka · 20/10/2011 22:11

Night night hedge - I am in the danger zone too - I fear for the safety of a matching pair of party rings!

LittlePushka · 20/10/2011 22:13

Hi ria.Morrisons eat smarts chipolatas are half a sin each on EE and red but 2 1/2 on green.

grimRiaper · 20/10/2011 22:26

hell fire, I have read all tonights chat and forgotten it all, so sorry if I appear to ignore anyone.

Have been mucking out DS1 today, and ended up with an unwanted unexpected "defining parenting moment"...

think I have either a bad cold (hopefully) or a sinus infection (would prefer not) and I have to confess that since breakfast SW has gone by the wayside in favour of What I Fancy. When I got in from work I was so cold I had cup-a-soup (which I hate, but there was a severe lack of tinned tomato soup Blush in the cupboard plus it does evil things to me) and white bread etc etcBlush

But, in my favour, we have been to our friends farm, and I have mucked out 2 stables with my coat zipped right up over a fleece whilst at almost-passing-out point (I usually end up sweating to death whilst stripped off to my tshirt), and brought the horses in. And the boys are very happySmile and tired outGrin

grimRiaper · 20/10/2011 22:33

thanks pushka. that makes them bearable (though they were better when free obviously - lovely in a pasta salad with a bit of honey-and-mustard-salad-dressing - asda I think - and quite low syn).

Have to wonder what changes to make the syn value change. And why is it that the cheaper stuff has syns and the v expensive stuff doesn't? Perhaps it's because it's too expensive to eat so you only have a little bit to make it last?

Slinkenstein · 20/10/2011 22:34

Evening. I feel sick after eating Haribo in a hot bath, just after Zumba. I am an Idiot sometimes.

Had a good day diet-wise though:

B:scrambled eggs on toast
L: Soup (Covent Garden Halloween stuff my sister served at hers, no idea on syn value but it was Pumpkin, and a fairly small bowl)
Snacks: apple, banana, satsuma, ff yogurt
D: A packet of Batchelor's chicken savoury rice, with some king prawns chucked on top - was scrummy, and quick and easy, so will be having more of the same in future.
Syns: Haribo!

Pushka How's it going old fruit? Our best and final offer was rejected yesterday Sad. Hoping they change their minds, but am not hopeful and dp seems to have gone cold on it. We may be homeless in six weeks at this rate! Not very regal at all.

Bought the latest SW mag today for the first time in yonks today and am pleasantly surprised.

Slinkenstein · 20/10/2011 22:37

ria What was the "defining parenting moment" then?! Or are we better off not knowing?! (especially as I already feel sick).

grimRiaper · 20/10/2011 23:02

Sad slinks. hope they change their mind, or... you find somewhere far better and much cheaper. (I hated our house the first couple of times we viewed, we had our final viewing -after I had a change of heart - on NYE and here we are. thank goodness cos I quite like it now, though balmoral it is not.

My D-P-M - DS1 "helped" with his room this morning (agitating all the time about whether it was time for me to go to work yet). he had gone to his mates when I got home from work, but after lunch I carried on with his crap (dog saw the rabbit etc), but reading every piece of paper so I didn't recycle anything important without him checking it out first. I really wish I hadn't found the list! After a "confrontation" (i.e. I asked him to explain what it was rather than why) I have found out it is a list of sites that his friends often look at on facebook! and he wrote it down because they told him to. He is not interested (not straight naked thin women - which I wouldn't have even bothered with TBH as he is 14 and maleWink, but cross-dressing, and further "specialised weirdness") he has requested I don't mention it again. funny though, how just like his dad, he "didn't know anyting about it", "nothing to do with him" etc etc. why do they give me no credit?

grimRiaper · 20/10/2011 23:05

pilau now on recipe thread.

bought SW mag tonight, looking forward to reading it Smile hoping for new ideas.

LittlePushka · 20/10/2011 23:06

Hi Slinks - I am well thank you my lovely. Apart from the usual snuffles/bunged up/dry nasal membranes caused by the autumnl switching on the the central heating. Sorry to hear about offer ...have a good old ferret about in the local property press this weekend and see if you can find one. I would put my "real" best offer in - nothing to lose!

I think the moment must relate to emissions of a particular sort - and if so, well yes ria - consider your boy totally redefined! (Or ought that to be unrefined?Grin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 21/10/2011 09:14

Brrr its freezsing! Morning troops.

Busy day here; nursery viewing, lunch with pals and gymboree for DD. Shame she has forgotten that you are supposed to sleep at night so lots of coffee for me.

Food:
B: melon and FF nat yog
L: Bacon sarnie on hobbit bread and fruit
D: Maybe Lamb and spinach curry maybe turkey burgers. Homemade of course)

I am so glad its the weekend.

Ria oh dear, I wouldn't worry too much. Blooming teenagers!
slinky hope you find something - don't want you to be homeless. THough think how skinny you will get!
susages I like the quorn one or tesco light choices. Mainly cos I like the Quorn and bean sausage casserole. Nom Nom.

grinningzombee · 21/10/2011 10:45

Hellooooooo everyone!

Ria I must admit, I thought you'd found some manky tissues Grin

Slinky good luck on the house hunting, hope something comes up soon!

Pushka nice to see you back Smile

Cheese isn't it annoying when the routine goes. We have the same problem, and I can feel my eyeballs sagging!

Sausages. My sausage of choice is the Sainsbury's Be Good Cumberland sausage, and they're only 1/2 a syn each on EE and Red, or 4 on Green.

I went to our local primary school open day yesterday. I don't have to apply until next year, but thought I'd go and have a nosey. There was only us and one other dad there!! Got a bit of a personal tour Grin Dd outdid herself by running to the front of a class Blush and helping herself to bits of materials being used in an art class too. Luckily no-one minded, and the other dc thought she was funny (wonder if her name went down on a list though!).

The intake each year is only 15 Shock so I am really hoping we get in. She also got to see the attached playgroup/nursery, and she cried because she didn't want to leave. I am thinking we might start her there soon.

The school is lovely, they grow veggies and have a greenhouse, the younger classes have covered play areas outside attached to the rooms they can use, and it looked fun!

For anyone who knows - does £8 a session sound good for playgroup? That's for 3 hours and includes a drink/snack. I think it's good but wanted to ask.

Oh, and on a food related topic, today is a bit dodgy. We are getting a rare night of babysitting Shock and going to Frankie and Benny's . I will not be eating salad Grin. I am expecting a maintain next week!

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
Cheese triangles on toast, fruit and yogurt
Extreme naughtiness followed by (probably) the Godfather (you'll need to look it up if you don't already know). I will be sharing it with himself though.

Wow! Sorry for the mammoth post. Making up for the radio silence yesterday Grin

grinningzombee · 21/10/2011 14:01

Good grief I've done it again. Killed the list with my mega post.

Sorry folks!

Now, where are you all

OP posts:
Slinkenstein · 21/10/2011 14:34

I'm here, been having fun filling a shopping trolley full of syn-laden goodies for our weekend away in Devon [hblush]. Am hoping dp and my brother will eat most of it, and that I'll suddenly acquire some restraint from somewhere, but I don't hold out much hope!

bee - enjoy your evening out tonight, and every mouthful of naughtiness! I too shall be hoping for a maintain this week I think.

Ah, yes, never thought about the fact that I've never seen a fat homeless person before, you might have a point cheese! One would wish for a bejewelled cardboard box though, complete with turrets for HRH SlinkyB [hwink] (or would that be HRH StinkyB?)

Off to see a house this pm. Still want the other one though. Dp is mulling over putting in an increased "best and final" next week, fingers crossed we can pursuade them to take it.

Slinkenstein · 21/10/2011 14:42

OH yes, diet stuff. Food today:

B: Bran flakes
L: Ryvita, cheese triangles, tomatoes and beetroot
D: Chicken and prawn curry + rice
Snacks: fruit, yogurt.

Also, I have been having fun packing away all of my size 16 jeans today - hooray! They have started to look really silly on me. All of my 14's now fit, and a pair I could barely do up a few weeks ago now fit great [hgrin]. Am sure my stomach is flatter than it was pre-pregnancy too, and I'm officically lighter than I was pre-pregnancy. Have achieved my goal of losing the 'baby weight' before ds turned 9 months, with a couple of weeks to spare. Feeling pretty damn proud of myself, and Thanks to everyone on here for helping me do it [hgrin].

Just thought I'd share my joy with you all!

grinningzombee · 21/10/2011 14:49

Woohoo! I need a high five emoticon!! Well done you, that's fantastic Grin

Now go and enjoy a weekend of clotted cream, scones and jam... and fudge... and pasties... and fish and chips...

WotsThatLurkingintheHEDGE · 21/10/2011 17:08

well done Slinky Grin Grin have a great wekend

Busy day as its my day off Confused with DS2, I always run around madly on Fridays.

we are off to Norfolk for a long weekend and I haven't packed ekkkkkk

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/10/2011 19:17

Bee - £8 a session sounds great. Ours is £13.

Been to zoo today as inset day for dd. knackered now but off to vie party once got kids to bed (currently feeding ds2 hopefully to sleep).

kid · 21/10/2011 20:17

Good evening all. I'm having another day off plan today. Oh well, blew the diet big time so I might as well continue on my downward spiral for the rest of the night!
As its half term, we all had a big meal at work and it was lovely. As I couldn't drink at work (had to drive home) I bought a bottle of wine to drink tonight. I'm pretty sure I won't drink the whole bottle but I'll try Grin
I'm in agony again tonight with my throat and ear. I think I will phone the Drs on Monday, I can't bear this pain for much longer.

Well done on the smaller clothes slinky, its such a great feeling to shrink enough to need the next size down.
What are you doing with your old clothes? I have a pair of size 16 jeans from next that are too good to throw away. They are currently sitting at the bottom on my pile of ironing at the moment.

I had to buy a top this morning as I was so cold. I got a size 12 Shock
My weight doesn't really seem to be coming down that much, but my size definitely is. My belt is now 4 holes tighter than it was when I started SW, its amazing!
Someone at work asked today what size I want to reach and that I look really well. The person that said it never gives compliments so I must look much different than I did.
Time for a wine glass refill. Shame I have to skip the pain killers tonight now Sad

grimRiaper · 21/10/2011 21:05

yay for compliments kid, and yippee for your progess slinky.

hope you have a good night out bee.

just waiting to bid on a unicycle on ebay, then I'm having painkillers and going back to bed. also off-plan as not feeling well.

kid · 21/10/2011 21:26

I think when you are unwell, you shouldn't try and stick to SW. You need to just do what you can to feel better and if that means snacking, then so be it.

Who is the unicycle for?
