Morning Dod'ers!

Here's a nice new shiney list for when the old one is full.

Pull up a squishy chair and feel free to help yourselves to the Sw friendly snacks. Posters from the old room will be moved in shortly Wink.

Hi everyone I am back!! Did you miss me Wink.

Had a great time in USA except for the journey out there. DD projectilve vomited over me and several passengers Blush. THey were so unimpresssed and had to be upgraded. DD was then poorly for 3-4 days with diarrhpea and vomiting. Nonetheless, a good time was had.

I have eaten and drunk far too much. There will be no weighin for me this week but I will do the list.

Right, I will attempt to read what I have missed over the last week but will prob just fall asleep!

grinningbee · 28/11/2011 21:17

Hope it's all in order Boss Wink

Hellooooo Cheese! Glad you had a good time, and sorry about poor dd. I saw it on FB, and wondered how the flight back would be for you.

Slinky You made me snigger at the colonic Lentil Pie. Tis true though! Grin The food you were having on your break looked lovely, and that market.... bet it was wonderful.

Dd did indeed remember about softplay, so off we went and were there a couple of hours. There was only one other child there! So dd and ds had a good time, although dd does like playing with the other children.

Off to Nottingham tomorrow to do some Xmas shopping with the dc. I am hoping that dd will not blab to her daddy as it's him I'm buying for! Just need to think what I would like... but I can't Confused. How much is a night of sleep do you reckon Wink

Cheeseandbiscuits · 28/11/2011 21:24

Ha you are more than welcome to keep it if you would like bee! Thanks for thinking of us.

I would also like a full nights sleep. Its been over 2 weeks since DD slept through and I am echausted. She is already grumbling in her cot. She has got her 7th tooth cutting through, poor thing.

Enjoy xmas shopping, I really need to get onto it. Not long to go now!

pixiestix · 28/11/2011 22:00

Thanks CSWS! That not too bad at all. Might have a third one Wink

Poor baby I Cheese Sad Do you know what caused it? Bet those passengers were just putting it on to get the upgrade.

Glad you survived soft play Bee. I've got all that joy still to discover Confused

I am feeling very virtuous after my first proper day back on the wagon! If I can keep this up for a few weeks I might not be too horrendously short of my Xmas target after all.

Wishing everyone a sleep-filled night.

SlinkyB · 29/11/2011 09:31

Morning all

Welcome back cheese! So sorry to hear of the nightmare flight to the U.S, how hideous for you all. Agree other passengers were just trying to blag a free upgrade, even if they were splattered. Seven teeth already?! Ds only has four bless him.

bee the Frankfurt market was great, but HUGE! Took hours to get around it all. Thoroughly enjoyed sampling lots of the food, some gluhwein and a go on the carousel. Will really miss my friend and her lovely family, but at least we have Christmas to look forward to. Hmm, your idea of having a full nights' sleep for your present sounds like a winner; could your dh not book you into a Travelodge for £25?!

Food for today:

B: Weetabix and banana
L: Soup and hobbit bread
D: Leftover lentil pie with broccoli

Topped the lentil pie with sweet potato mash last night, but dp didn't like it as much as the normal potatoes.

Am off to do some xmas shopping soon too. Have a good day all.

pixiestix · 29/11/2011 10:18

Morning!

The Frankfurt market sounds really lovely Slinky. It makes me want to go away! I am so in need of a holiday and full of wanderlust for fantastic new sights and smells and foods. Never mind. Unless there is a sudden plague of flying pigs I shall be stuck here for the forseeable future.

So, today:
B: Fruit and yoghurt
L: Scrambled eggs and salmon
D: Gammon with beans and grilled tomatoes

Nothing planned. Its so dark and miserable here today.

grinningbee · 29/11/2011 10:36

Morning everyone!

It is dark, wet and 'orrible here too. Boo. Still going out today though. going to build-a-bear to get dh a teddy dressed as darth for his pressie from the dc Grin. Don't tell him though!

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
The usual, if I get home at a decent time, if not it'll be nothing
Quorn sausages with bubble and squeak and baked beans

I am a very happy bunny today. Weighed in and am back on track Grin I may be even bouncing in a Tigger-like fashion if I get the energy!

Going to feed the dc something naughty from the bakers while we're out (yup, you know I mean a Greggs sausage roll Wink).

Right, come on motivation, get me up and out of the door!

Hedgepig · 29/11/2011 11:58

I love those Darth Vader teddies Bee

nice to see you back Cheese sorry to hear about the vomit

very mad here with work, Dcs and everything else, I have 2 governors meetings in the evenings this week, I was a Tesco at 10pm last night, I really need to get the online ordering sorted

Food:
B melon, pear and natural yog with fat in it , I just checked the syn value and it is 2 for 125g wtf have I been eating the horrid low fat stuff :-(
L Innocent aubergine veg pot
D mince beef hash thing

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/11/2011 03:16

Hey bee - thought I'd beat you to tonight's middle of the night post! Hoping that ds2 will settle soon - I've been up for an hour already, thanks to a combination of him waking up and me seeming to develop ds1's dodgy tummy bug.Hmm

Cheeseandbiscuits · 30/11/2011 07:29

Hope you are feeling ok csws, I've had very little sleep the last 2 nights as DD is jetlagged and teething.I'm exhausted.

Anyway it's the DoD, so pm me your stats.
It's my antenatal Xmas night out tonight, I so cannot be bothered, I just want to sleep. Planning on not drinking so that will help the calorie intake!

grinningbee · 30/11/2011 08:12

Morning all!

So sorry that you're both going through the same sleep hell CSWS and Cheese. It's been going on for months now and I've had enough. I walked into our bedroom last night to go to bed and he stood up straight away Sad and was then up at 4.20... he is teething and has a few coming through, but urgh.

Anyway! Dodgy week coming up as we are out for dinner on Saturday to a Brazillian place. Should be nice, not been before.

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
The usual
Pork meatballs in spicy tomato sauce - if I can get the mince today.

Will pm you now with the old stats Cheese

Hedgepig · 30/11/2011 08:52

morning ::wipes brownie crumbs for her gob::

Sorry you are feeling poorly CSWS and knackered Cheese lets not talk about sleep! it makes me tired

B Melon & yog
L leftover minced beef hash
D Omelet possibly??

snacks only health stuff and no mini brownie bites, absolutely none

Cheeseandbiscuits · 30/11/2011 08:52

Oh bee, poor you. I think I am struggling, butyou def get way less sleep than me! Have you had a chance to try any sleep training?

Right, I have got so much to do today so best get going. I was supposed to be meeting a good friend for lunch but can't see it happening. Desperately want to get a new top to wear tonight and Fri night (whem its MIL 60th) but I am not sure I even have time to do that! On the plus, my sister is returning from Australia for Xmas today, woop woop!

Best hit the shower.

SlinkyB · 30/11/2011 09:11

Morning all!

Busy day here too. Sorry for crap nights sleep all :-( DS had taken to waking around the 5-5.30am mark recently, and wouldn't re-settle. Worked out he was cold, so now chuck a blanket on him and stick the heating on and he's back to waking around 7am - bliss! Worked a little too well this am though; he woke at 4.30am, put heating on, woke us back up at 8am - whoops! DP was almost late for work. Sorry, just realised that sounded really gloaty for all you sleep-deprived folk Blush Didn't mean it to be; it's just maybe something to try?? No doubt the smug fairy will pay me a visit next week and hit us with chicken pox or a tummy bug Wink.

Food:

B: Weetabix and banana
L: Whatever auntie feeds me
D: Whatever MIL feeds me

Glad I'm not the only one with meals out looming. Ah well, November Boot Camp has finished so we can relax a little now...right?!

grinningbee · 30/11/2011 09:14

The trouble with sleep training is that he'll wake dd, and if I try laying him straight back down he ends up getting hysterical. Ah well.

You sound uber busy Cheese! Yay for your sister coming home for Xmas Smile.

Dh is at a meeting this morning at the council. Our horrible neighbour is being really awful (she effs at and about the dc), and he's going to see if we can get on a list to be moved. To be honest, we're in something that is meant to be warden controlled, and is the size of a biscuit tin, and at some point the dc will need a room each. No harm in trying I suppose. I'm sure we don't stand a chance though Sad.

Off to the shops later for mince, but also for some plain flour. Going to have a go at making salt dough decorations with dd. Should be good fun! I will absolutely not be looking at mince pies.... or chocolate brownie bites

Hedgepig · 30/11/2011 09:31

::look sheepish::

grinningbee · 30/11/2011 09:35

Not gloaty at all Slinky and I'm glad you're getting some zzzzzzz's. Relax the diet...? Nope, not yet for me, although I do have a question for everyone.

Most of us are taking a break for Xmas aren't we - so... do we still weigh in on the 28th, or are we going to leave that one out and weigh in on the 4th of January instead? Or do we leave that one out too and go for the week after? Grin Just wondering what folks would like to do, and if we're going to admit our Xmas gains Wink.

Personally, I'm happy to start again on the 4th and admit my lardiness. I predict around 7lb on. If it's less than that I will be ecstatic!

grinningbee · 30/11/2011 09:36

Hedge - you've got crumbs on your top. Busted! Wink

Hedgepig · 30/11/2011 10:39

thanks I had missed those bits bee I vote for no weigh in on the 28th and straight back in on the 4th
I don't think I'm going to be at my target weight by Christmas as I keep slipping Sad but no one but myself to blame on that front

grinningbee · 30/11/2011 10:51

You might not be Hedge, but just think - next year you will, and think of all the lovely summer stuff you can get!

I would like to think I'll be there ot thereabouts before the summer too.

Anyway, it's not slipping. It's temporarily delaying reaching target by enjoying chocolate brownie cakiness Grin Big difference you know.

CantSleepWontSleep · 30/11/2011 11:02

My RL class is on on 28th, so I will be weighing in then. Whilst I will most probably syn a bit more over Christmas, I am not intending to go fully off plan. I don't want to gain half a stone in a few days that will then take another month to shift again - for me it's just not worth it.

Hedgepig · 30/11/2011 12:04

good attitude CSWS Grin tbh I can't imagine pigging out like I normally do I have been doing SW since March and I am so much more aware of what I'm eating than I used to be. I will be having the odd goodie or too. I saw a really good comment on the SW FB thread yesterday, which was "you can still have chocolate but you can't have it with the pasty, the cake and then bag of crisps" Grin sums it up really

pixiestix · 30/11/2011 12:17

Going to post and then read through as my internet connection is so piss-poor that I may not get a chance otherwise!

Its a gain for me on the list today (hope you got my PM Cheese) but I?m not too bummed about it as I?ve already put it right ? the weigh in day of my new group is a Thursday so my DoD stats will be nearly a week behind Confused Stepped on the scales this morning and was very happy despite what the list will say Grin

We?ve got DH at home today because of the strike so I must try not to have loads of ?treats? because he?s here. We are very, very good at derailing each others diets.

So,
B: Fruit and yoghurt
L: Slimming world fry up
D: Not sure whats left in the cupboards, might have to do a ricey-lentiley thing

pixiestix · 30/11/2011 12:29

Sorry to hear everybody is so sleep-deprived today Sad My DD is a little better on the sleep front but she is still streaming with cold and has a lovely 60-a-day type cough.

Bee I know everyone?s probably tried giving you loads of conflicting advice about your DS?s sleep which must be really irritating but I thought I would add my two-pence worth! Grin DD slept really fitfully until we put her in to her own room at six months ? then suddenly we stopped disturbing her in the night and she stopped waking me up every time she coughed or rolled over or farted. It was so utterly fantastic. When are you thinking of moving him out of your room? Do you have the space? My only other advice would be to get your lazy-arse husband out of bed to deal with DS ? at least on the weekends!

As for the New Year weigh in, I reckon we should definitely do the 4th ? skipping that one would take us to nearly halfway through January and thats too much temptation for me to be slack! I?m going to try so so hard to not blow the whole thing this year, so any more than a 5lb gain will mean a miserable New Year me.

pixiestix · 30/11/2011 12:34

Hedge don't beat yourself up about the Xmas target - when we started these threads months and months ago I had lost a little bit more than you. Now you are almost a stone ahead of me! You are doing fantastically and I am totally jealous. Grin
