Morning Dod'ers!

Here's a nice new shiney list for when the old one is full.

Pull up a squishy chair and feel free to help yourselves to the Sw friendly snacks. Posters from the old room will be moved in shortly Wink.

Grin hedge.

I am most definitely done ria. I have a friend who has just had her 9th, and I think that's great for her, but, how can I make this clear, No Fucking Way Grin.

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/11/2011 22:13

And why oh why does the sw website only deign to tell me the syn value of M&S reduced fat coleslaw and not the full fat one? I want to make my own choices!! And I bloody love their traditional coleslaw.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 02/11/2011 22:19

9! Jeez....And I am struggling with one little monkey. Though I want 4 in total!

If you have the coleslaw dietary info you can just key it in CSWS though I hate the stuff.

hedge would it help your syns if I prescribed the choc for you? Grin

Ria good for you for sticking with it, thats the key to success. Steady wins the race or so I keep telling myself

keepingitRia · 02/11/2011 22:21

it's obviously one of those foods you're allowed to eat without counting synsWink

time for me to log off too, DH back from pub. He may expect conversation...

Hedgepig · 02/11/2011 22:35

csws in the book 100g luxury coleslaw is 11.5 syns or standard 7.5 syns so it depends how exceptionally Yumm the M&S one is to decide if it is luxury or standard Grin

SW even syn lemsip so I don't think prescribing the chocolate would help, thanks anyway Cheese

My family is complete, I do not have a nanogram of boldness on me. I am too knackered to have any more and DH would totally loose the plot

keepingitRia · 02/11/2011 22:47

just need to keep my fingers crossed a little while longer

night all x

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/11/2011 22:50

Hedge - the m&s reduced fat one is 9.5 syns, so I think the normal one might be in a category of its own entitled über luxurious!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 03/11/2011 08:08

Morning all.

Blimey DD is a whining grump this morning, hard bloody work an we've only been up just over an hour.

Food:
B: fruit and ff yog
L: chicken and cous cous salad
D: chicken casserole and new potatoes with loads of Veg
Snacks: alpen light x2 as heb, fruit.
Exercise: 1 hour body conditioning class

Hedgepig · 03/11/2011 09:20

very very crap night, trying to get DS2 to stay in his own bed I must have put him back over 20 times eventually I caved in at about 3am I'm so glad I'm not in charge of something critical like a nuclear power station or the world would be a very dangerous place this morning.

Sounds like some very nice coleslaw CSWS

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Ria Smile

Food today:
B Scrambled egg on hobbit toast
L beans on baked potato and salad (odd i know but it comes with salad which is super free)
D going to fireworks, planning to make a chilli soup but probably will end up with sausage and a bun

there will be no cake or chocolate or biscuits today

Cheeseandbiscuits · 03/11/2011 09:23

Don't think I am going to make the gym today, DH is still in bed as he is on lates which is fair enough. And I am shattered as was up from 3-4. But I am going to shred this morning instead. I lost the last stone mostly through exercise so I need to get back into it!

hedge sorry about the bad night, Brew?

Hedgepig · 03/11/2011 09:28

thanks Cheese only had 1 1/2 coffees so far so I need another. Have one back Brew

Cheeseandbiscuits · 03/11/2011 09:38

Thanks I have made 3 but only managed about 1/2 cup. Off to boil the kettle again

grinningbee · 03/11/2011 09:57

Morning ladies!

Can I just start by saying a big well done to everyone, and especially CSWS for the weight loss Wink.

Sorry for the bad night Cheese and Hedge. Hope you both get to drink and entire hot cup of something soon.

Thanks for the birthday wishes and songs yesterday. I would say anyone want to guess whether or not dh spoiled me, but I think we all know the answer to that. I will elaborate if you want - just be warned, it will be a rant. In fact, I can almost imagine an angry mumsnet mob on my doorstep with torches and pitchforks Grin

I still have some cake left over, so don't know whether to have another naughty day, or just feed it to the dc. I bought myself a huge bar of dairy milk (yes, the 400g one), but have decided that it is staying in the fridge until Christmas.

So far all I have had is a cup of tea today as I took himself to his first job.

Planned food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
Cheese triangles on toast, fruit and a yogurt
SW fryup - sausages, bacon, eggs and tomatoes with two extra slices of bread (6 syns)

Oh, and I didn't eat any of those lovely fresh donuts yesterday, and I didn't go to Pizza Hut either.

grinningbee · 03/11/2011 10:00

Forgot to add - Slinky my ds has been uber bitey just lately. This morning I managed to have a look in his mouth, and yesterday 4 new teeth broke through the gums Shock so that may well be the reason. I think he spent most of yesterday chewing the toggle on his duffle coat, so it obviously worked!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 03/11/2011 10:08

Go on then bee tell us what happened. Must have been truly awful if no chocolate/donuts or pizza was consumed!!

Hedgepig · 03/11/2011 10:21

::gives halo to:: Bee, no pizza or doughnuts or choccie on your B'Day you are a saint.

DH (then DP) bought me a bath plug for my Birthday once Grin was it as bad as that????

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/11/2011 10:36

Hedge - according to my class leader bonfire hot dog = 17syns!

Sad for b'day bee.

Just brief as on recumbent bike at gym right now!

Hedgepig · 03/11/2011 10:40

typing on a recumbent bike CSWS how flash!
17 syns ekkkk I think i will make some with Tesco health sausages at home and a wholemeal roll or I could use Quarn sausages (1 syns) and the roll as a HEb and have a green day. I'm going to try make the DS's ones with flour tortillas as they don't really like huge wedges of bread

grinningbee · 03/11/2011 11:55

Aaaarrrgghh! Long post lost. Probably for the best. Anyway, the upshot was this:

I did not get any presents from dh, or a little one "from" the dc. No flowers, no cup of tea made, no birthday cake and the cards were bought at the corner shop on the pretence of buying a packet of mints. Still, at least I got those.

We had to stop the car on the way back from Skegness as it started to overheat. I stopped at an Asda and bought some pizza and a birthday cake. I cut the cake on my own in the kitchen singing happy birthday in my head. I always make sure everyone has a birthday cake, including his mother. I hid his cake in my wardrobe and even took it on holiday so he'd bloody have one.

He claims he was going to shop on the day of the crash.

He had a drink yesterday lunchtime, I did not as I was driving. But that's ok.

All I wanted was a couple of bathbombs, and a £6 top from Asda, and a little cake. That would have been fine, but no.

So we had the pizza I got for tea, with the wine I got in the weekly shop, and a bar of chilli chocolate (tiny) I bought in Thorntons last weekend. Not exactly saintly, so I'll pass the halo back.

I have decided to have low/no expectations in future and then I won't be disappointed. I'm ok though, nothing a good cry won't fix.

Hedgepig · 03/11/2011 12:04

((hugs)) honey pie , men are crap at Birthdays DH has got a bit better over the years but they just don't understand the importance of a cake and a few little nice bits and bobs

grinningbee · 03/11/2011 12:10

Thanks Hedge. No, they really don't get it at all. He had loads of things to open on his birthday, all done with the two littlies in tow Grin.

Ah well.

I am off to Asda later as I need to get dd some indoor shoes for playgroup so I may just buy the top anyway. I rang the playgroup today that I visited a couple of weeks ago, and dd starts on Monday Only two mornings, but I think it'll do her the world of good. My TOTM is due to start Monday as well, so guess who will be a hormonal blubbering heap Grin

I keep looking at the left over cake.

Must.Not.Eat.It.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 03/11/2011 13:41

Oh bee, men in general are crap at these things but that was a pretty shameful effort. Would you like me to organise an angry mumsnet mob

Hmmm. I would get the top and anything else I fancied! I quite like George clothes. Let us know what you get!

I have been good, so far. Didn't do shred but went back to bed instead (sorry hedge). I have made tonights chicken casserole and it smells delicious.

Oh and hedge are yu sure it was a bath plug Shock Wink

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/11/2011 13:48

Oh bee that is crap. My dh is rubbish (also no cake) but he sounds great compared to yours.

Hedgepig · 03/11/2011 14:06

yep it was a bath plug (you have a dirty mind young Cheese) , he built it up for weeks before as the great pressie he had got me ::slaps head::, it did have wallace and grommit on it but still it was a fecking plug!

grinningbee · 03/11/2011 14:21

Am I sad to have already thought of the next thread title? Probably...

Think you'll like it when the time comes though Grin

Chips A lot of us are here for the long haul - and beyond too I hope! I'd love this thread to keep going when we all reach our goals. If you'd said to me back at the end of May that just 5 months later I'd be 54 pounds lighter, I may have laughed. I think you know yourself when it's time to get on and lose weight. You get that determination, and though the odd cake may get in the way, you still knuckle down and do it. I am now 80 pounds lighter than my heaviest weight in 2007.

Apart from some party food and cake (for I shall be getting him one, or making it) on ds's first birthday in just over 2 weeks, that's it for me until Xmas. No sweeties, cake, biscuits, alcohol - nada. I shall have a week off from Xmas Eve, then back on it again after that. I want to be in the 10st club!

Me, determined? Oh yes GrinWink
