Morning Dod'ers!

Here's a nice new shiney list for when the old one is full.

Pull up a squishy chair and feel free to help yourselves to the Sw friendly snacks. Posters from the old room will be moved in shortly Wink.

keepingitRia · 01/11/2011 14:56

thanks hedge. I will see what tomorrow bringsWink

have to drag myself to college tonight. I had decided I wasn't going and left a voicemail for the tutor yesterday to tell her I wouldn't be in placement this week and wasn't planning on going to college tonight either. I got a voicemail from her while I was sleeping this morning and she needs me to take some papers in tonight. Really not looking forward to the driving. I may have to come home at break time.

keepingitRia · 01/11/2011 14:59

I love raw onion but it makes me dizzyConfused are tic tacs less syns?

SlinkyB · 01/11/2011 15:26

ria - I think you should WI and post! Be brave, plus, personally, if I see it in black and white on a screen it pushes me to try extra hard the following week...

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/11/2011 15:26

I expect so ria. Afterall, don't you get 2 hours of tic tac freshness in just 2 calories ?!

Very sorry to hear about your dh's accident bee. Car crashes, ESP with lorries, terrify me.

I am going to make the butter chicken later this week, but last night dh made the nicest sw curry i've ever had. It was the butternut squash one from the ee meals in minutes book, which has a bit of low fat coconut milk in. Omm nom nom.

Well done for being so restrained with the scales chips. I weigh myself about 4 times a day Blush.

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/11/2011 15:36

Oh, you keep mentioning fb. Are you all friends with each other or is there a group for dod'ers?

grinningbee · 01/11/2011 16:21

Soft mints are terribly addictive. We used to go through at least two packets on long car journeys Blush. Not any more!

Ria Tis up to you on the weighing in, but personally, I would want to know what the score was as a good kick up the bum for the following week. Not that you have to tell us of course.

We spent a couple of hours in A&E. When dh came home he didn't know he'd cut his head, or had a big red bruise on his temple. He hit the windscreen and dashboard Sad. The airbags didn't go off. I've seen photos of the car, and it looks down the side that hit like an opened sardine tin Sad

He is very very shaken, and has whiplash. Dr said he cannot drive for 24-48 hours, and I know what to look for and when to take him back if necessary. I think he's realised how close he came to being very badly hurt.

I still did the weekly shop afterwards. Am I eeeevil? Wink.

Oh, and the naughty jumping baked goods seem to have travelled to my house. 4 mini chocolate brownie bites committed brownicide in my mouth while I was putting the shopping away. I wonder whose house they'll turn up at next?

I have bought some wine and chocolate ready for tomorrow. Think we might be going to the coast for some of the day (brrrr!) and you know what that means - freshly cooked ring donuts!! (Slinky - want me to send you some? Grin) I do hope the stand is still open at this time of year.

grinningbee · 01/11/2011 16:23

CSWS we have a secret group for Dod'ers on there. I'll pm you so you can find me if you like, then we can add you.

Smile
keepingitRia · 01/11/2011 16:57

I think DH and I are heading to the seaside in the morning, to the little cafe we used to go to before we became restrained SW followersWink. Best thing is it's November now so it's free parking!

your DHs accident sounds scary. My DH has written off 2 cars in 8 years, with hedges. He also doesn't wear a seatbelt as the pressure in a crash on his shoulder could cause a lot of problems apparently (this is doctors orders and he has a legal medical certificate to prove it), so he has been very lucky to walk away with a broken collar bone from the first one, and cracked ribs and glass in his finger the second time. How soon will you know the implications for your DH's business? have a great day tomorrow.

hope Mr Cheese's exams went well.

got to go to college shortly. It's SO cold out there and my head hurts.

I have to confess to eating 2 chocolate christmas tree decorationsBlush

Cheeseandbiscuits · 01/11/2011 21:12

Oh bee that's awful. Hope your DH is ok and is resting up.

No sneaky weighing in ladies for tomorrow is the day of doom! mwah ha ha

I have been good today. Made it to zumba, I hadn't been to this particular class. It was actually zumba and tone so 30min zumba then 30min weights and floor work! Blimey! Hard work but glad I went.

Had fillet steak for supper, yum yum.

slinky chin up lovely. Thurs will be tough so be kind on yourself.

We are just settling down to watch Anchorman. Dh offered to get popcorn - I declined. Smile

If anyone wants to join our FB group PM me!

keepingitRia · 01/11/2011 21:51

back from college. thank goodness. somehow the opportunity to leave halfway through didn't come upHmm

home to watch James May's Man Lab. Love it. But time for bed now DS1, mummy wants to watch Strictly...

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/11/2011 21:57

Very scary bee.

eek ria - can he get just a lap belt fitted in the car instead? Scary to think what could happen in a big accident with no belt at all.

Have pmed you the results of tonight's weigh in cheese :).

keepingitRia · 01/11/2011 22:25

indeed CSWS, I agree. I will suggest that to him

off to watch Doc Martin and Strictly. Good luck for tomorrow everyone. And have a fantastic day bee. Enjoy!

kid · 01/11/2011 23:00

So sorry to hear about your DHs crash bee, bet it was scary hearing about it and seeing the damage done. I really hope his business is okay and that they can track down the moron in the other lorry.

I feel sick. I've eaten far too much tonight and I should have known better. Oh well, its my own fault (I'm sure I'm saying that a lot lately!)

grinningbee · 01/11/2011 23:08

Thanks Kid and all of you. He is ok - snoring on the sofa as per usual. It doesn't help that he also refuses to wear a seatbelt. But he has been quite tearful this afternoon. He could so easily have been killed today.

The customer who the car belonged to seems to be ok about it, so we will just have to see how it all goes.

Yes, he did have an accident not too long ago, in our car (which still needs bloody mending!). Needless to say, I shall be driving to the coast tomorrow!

Oh, and Slinky I do hope Thursday goes as well as it can. Thinking of you for then ((hugs)).

kid · 01/11/2011 23:47

I had to go to Harlow tonight (22 miles away) but as it involved driving in the dark on the unlit motorway, I wasn't going to go.
My dad agreed to drive istead so I was able to go.

My daft dog just found a centipede on the floor and was playing with it. He has long floppy ears though so its now vanished. I suspect it is clinging on to his ears for dear life! I am not going near him.
Panic over, it fell off and he ate it Grin

Chipskilartar · 02/11/2011 08:01

Morning everyone, just had to post quickly before going to work. I've had my first weigh in this morning and I'm astounded!!!

I really didn't think it could work with the amount of food I'd eaten, but I've lost 9.5lbs!!! I had to get on the scales 3 times to check. I cannot believe it, i've never lost that much in the first week of a diet before and am going to be like this Grin all day.

Good luck to everyone else weighing in today.

SlinkyB · 02/11/2011 08:23

Disappointing weigh in hereSad but I've cheated all week. I'm not doing very well at the moment.

Well done chips that's blooming marvellous!! Fab result.

Food:
B: nothing as waiting for sainsburys man but fruit and yog when he gets here
L: scrambled eggs on toast (heb)
D: Singapore noodle stirfry

Don't forget to send me a pm with your stats.

keepingitRia · 02/11/2011 10:41

bloody well done chipsGrin

yay for birthdays beeSmile

expected gain here, but I aren't too fussed - I've been eating off plan all week with the poorliness and parties, so it is to be expected. And I am fairly confident (famous last words) that I can shift it by the next DoD if I really try. Menu plan done, shopping a bit today and the rest tomorrow (not ideal, but I need to go to Tesco for birthday presents, but I want to do the big shop at Morrisons so I can save my receipts up for the christmas offer, and I don't really have time to do both today).

hope you all enjoy the rest of the daySmile

obrigada · 02/11/2011 10:56

Morning all, been lurking but not posting as have bronchitis which I seem to be finding hard to shift :(
