Well, it was the wittiest name I could come up with. For those returning after lovely holidays Smile

Ooooh, poached eggs. Yummy.

Not sure about dd being clever... think I might haver to staple it on her tonight if she's got plans to try again!

QBee I am planning on getting down to 11st 4.5lb by Xmas. That looks like a very odd number, but it will mean I've lost 4.5st. As long as I don't have another week like the last one, I should do it. I hope Hmm.

Just had a knock at the door. Very nice lady announced herself as the warden, and asked "are you ok dearie?". Fgs, I know I look tired but honestly!!! There is a downside to living in this bungalow Grin

I'd have handed her the kids and popped out bee. Grin

Just bought 2 maclarens on eBay - one quest and one techno xlr. I love my travel system but need something to sling around the tube!

grinningbee · 26/09/2011 11:48

Not turning into a pram junkie are you Cheese? Wink

I got a new double buggy to go away with (well, 2nd hand) and it is so much lighter than the Safety 1st one. Really good. Only problem was as it's a side by side it's not as easy to get through shops. Dd christened it yesterday with a nice drippy pink icecream Grin (and yes, that could have been worse too!)

Probably. Going to leave one at mums though. I've got mana and papas sola which is fab but too big to get on escalators etc on tube. Plus we are off to the USA in nov so need something that I don't mind getting damaged at airport etc!

GettinTrimmer · 26/09/2011 14:26

Hi all

I am getting used to the sw diet, today had 2 slices of toast one with marmite one with scrambled egg/pasta prawn salad and a banana so far. Tonight I am having a baked spud with piles of salad and cottage cheese, everyone else is having home made pizza.

grinningbee I used to have a side by side Maclaren double buggy, but had problems as I used to put stuff in the bit underneath that was too heavy, so it collapsed!

obrigada · 26/09/2011 14:27

again Blush
Had my "lightbulb" moment at the weekend, met friend up town for lunch, caught glimpse of myself sideways in shop mirror and oh my God I looked terrible, if you picture a tyre then that is exactly what my middle looks like >

Sofabitch · 26/09/2011 14:29

Sigh. I miss buying buggies. But alas my baby dd is nearly 3 Sad I've been sunbathing on the trampoline in the garden. It is really hot Grin summer dress even came out. Lol

grinningbee · 26/09/2011 15:10

Sunbathing on the trampoline sounds fab sofa

Obrigada you don't have to sneak back in. You never left Wink

I was going to attempt some gardening today, but I'm too tired. And I have a headache and am craving naughty food. But I have stuck rigidly to the plan, and might make myself go and do the chilli for later in a mo.

OP posts:
Sofabitch · 26/09/2011 15:50

I suffered really bad headaches when I first started the plan. I think it must be the lack of sugar lol

grinningbee · 26/09/2011 16:01

I think so too. I am soooo hungry today. I am hoping the scales will be a little kinder to me tomorrow than they were this morning.

Chilli is now cooking away, so that's one job done. Ds who is still not well is having an epic sleep, which doesn't bode well for tonight. He's been asleep nearly 4 hours now. I shall have to go and poke him in a minute Sad

Sofabitch · 26/09/2011 16:11

Gbee dd has been asleep since 1:30. Hence the sunbathing on the trampoline. She was up half the night though Angry I haven't even made the slightest effort with
My chilli yet. I'm going to split the mix in Half and do spag Bol for the kids

kid · 26/09/2011 17:12

Oh I'm soooo tired. I need to get organised so I feel like I have some me time. I left the house at 7:30am to walk the dog this morning (on my own as lazy DC can't get ready in time Angry)
I have just sat down with a cup of tea after cleaning the kitchen and putting some washing on. I've also got to pick DH up in a little while and then come home to start dinner. Roll on half term so I can have a rest. No doubt I'll be complaining about DC driving me up the wall then!

I have no food in the house, I desperately need to do shopping but so desperately don't want to go. I've just reserved a slot for Wednesday night so I have to do the shopping online and make sure I have food for dinners between now and then.
I've got a feeling they won't be entirely SW friendly, oh dear lol

kid · 26/09/2011 17:18

DD has just asked for help with her maths homework, no problemo I thought until I looked at it!
'Using an nth-term rule

  1. n+2 1st term, 2nd term, 3rd term, 4th term, 5th term

  2. 5xn 1st term, 2nd term, 3rd term, 4th term, 5th term

etc

I've never done anything like that and it certainly isn't something we cover in Primary school. Thank God DD was half listening in class and that I have access to the good old internet!

ameRIAcansmooth · 26/09/2011 19:19

I have just tidied the last pile of stuff left over from the cookbook cupboard - I have a phenomenal amount of dieting stuff (SW and WW mas and cookbooks dating back to 2004 at least, and then RC mags and books. I have a feeling there are some "Slimmer"/"Slimming" mags from the '90s on the top of the cupboard in with all the cut-out recipes and DHs Good Food mags) Blush Really, I should not be still fat. If reading was achieving... Blush

ameRIAcansmooth · 26/09/2011 19:21

that maths is beyond me kid. I have today - after doing this OU course since February, and a maths course previous to that - finally worked out how to use the "power of" button on my scientific calculator! Numbers are scary.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 26/09/2011 20:30

Did you work it out kid?

Sofabitch · 26/09/2011 20:33

Back from weigh in Grin
4lbs off Grin seriously happy. Plus I got slimmer of the week and slimmer of the month. Grin I need 1 1/2lbs next week to get my 1 stone award.

I'm rubbish at math. I'm dreading mine hitting senior school. I just about scrapped a C thirteen years ago.

ameRIAcansmooth · 26/09/2011 21:00

yay sofa Grin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 26/09/2011 21:02

Ooh well done sofa, very well done. Did you get some mouldy fruit?

kid · 26/09/2011 21:11

I know the answers now but I'm not giving all of the answers to DD. I will help her with a few and explain how its done and then she will have to work some out for herself. I think its a total waste of time and I can't see how it will help her in life.

This confusing little set of numbers was one of the questions
(3xn)-2 in first 1st and 2nd term
That basically means
1st term: (3x1)-2=1
2nd term: (3x2)-2=4

I didn't figure it out btw, a lovely MNer solved them for me and I figured out how to get the answers after seeing her answers Grin

Sofabitch · 26/09/2011 21:19

No I got some manly looking pasta and cous cous and tinned pilchards [boak]

Sofabitch · 26/09/2011 21:20

Manky. Sorry auto correct.

I wonder what manly pasta looks like Confused

Cheeseandbiscuits · 26/09/2011 21:23

Glad you got it sorted kid, I'd hve attempted otherwise.

Ooh manly pasta. Willy shapes? Grin

kid · 26/09/2011 21:28

I wondered what 'manly pasta' would look like too.

I've tried looking for my new coat online but I can't see it. The brand is FUCHS SCHMITT and its a long quilted coat. It is lovely even though it sounds a bit strange!

I'm expecting a gain this week Sad I would stamp my feet and wave my arms but its my own fault so I'll just sit in the corner quietly and sulk.
Well done Sof, 4lb loss is impressive Envy

grinningbee · 26/09/2011 21:42

Well done Sofa that's excellent Grin

Kid can I sit on the naughty step with you please? Weigh in for me in the morning, but I can't see one day of being on plan undoing a week of badness!

That maths looks really hard. All I can say is eeeeeeeeeeeeek for when my two start bringing home stuff like that.

Finally got ds to sleep at 9pm. Poor thing is still so snuffly and is struggling to bf and breathe at the same time Sad.

Dh has put Tango and Cash on, and fallen asleep. I wonder if he will wake if I change the channel... Grin
