What are your clothes saying to you FAB? Today, my jeans are saying 'oi oi! I'm slippin' down!!!' I do think the clothing thing is a better way to judge and certainly less disheartening than the scales when they tell you you haven't lost much..

juicyolive · 12/09/2011 17:29

Hi all. Got a bit pissed on Saturday and ate/drank too much, but other than that am doing OK.

Oddly with overindulging on Saturday, wasn't hungry at all on Sunday until 3pm, when I ate a very large homemade burger in bun with salad, and then practically nothing else all day (small snack at 9.30pm). If somebody had said to me that was all I could have all day I would have been very Hmm but if you're following what your body wants then it seems very reasonable.

I'm confused - who is HorseHair? Solo?

TheOriginalFAB · 12/09/2011 17:35

My clothes are the same I think though I need a belt with my jeans but have done for a while. My skirt today is very marginally less tight. My bras don't seem to fit as well though Confused.

HorseHairKnickers · 12/09/2011 17:39

Yes, it is I Olive

FAB if your bras are feeling small, that could be hormonal and that doesn't count. Good that your skirt is less tight too!

TheOriginalFAB · 12/09/2011 17:45

They feel bigger and I really don't want them to grow any more. They are bigger than before I had the children.

HorseHairKnickers · 12/09/2011 17:50

Your bras feel bigger or your boobs?

TheOriginalFAB · 12/09/2011 18:50

My boobs.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 12/09/2011 18:51

Fab are they just bigger in comparison to the rest of you? If your back size has gone down then the cups won't fit properly any longer.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 12/09/2011 18:55

Solo - why are you wearing horse hair anything? Isn't is supposed to be penance for something?

juicyolive · 12/09/2011 18:59

Maybe the horse hair is pleasantly tickly...?

TheOriginalFAB · 12/09/2011 19:25

Boobs seem bigger but only an going from F to a G. My bra doesn't sit flat against my chest anymore.

NiecieTheTerminator · 12/09/2011 20:57

Oh please, stop with the horsehair knicker images! They make me want to scratch.

FAB - how are the strap across the back and and the shoulder? Bras seem to be damn complicated things and it means all different sorts of things depending on where they are baggy/pulling etc. For example, if I remember rightly, the shoulder straps cutting in don't mean you are getting too big, they mean the band round your chest is too big and the weight of your boobs is pulling on the shoulders.

If it isn't sitting flat against your chest, maybe it needs a tighter band?

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 12/09/2011 21:14

Fab - agree with Niecie, it isn't as straightforward as just going up a cup. I reckon that if you measure your band-size again then you'll have gone down a band size.

HorseHairKnickers · 13/09/2011 00:05

Loving the new name Niecie Grin

No, I'm not serving penance, honestly Blush unless it was that extra (tiny) portion of Jordan's museli I had...I do still hold a bit of the Catholic guilt though...
I just thought it sounded like an excellent nn for a change and funny too Grin I mean, who'd want to pull knickers on made of horse hair anyway? not I!!! Grin

TheOriginalFAB · 13/09/2011 08:04

Confused The bra I am wearing today does sit flat against my chest wall. Maybe I should measure myself to se if there has been any change. I think I am a 36F from an E not so long ago.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 13/09/2011 08:19

I ate too much last night, and at midnight my body protested violently. Shan't be doing that again in a hurry! Obviously my stomach has got used to not being overfilled.

HorseHairKnickers · 13/09/2011 18:21

I was hungry last night. Ate 2 small portions of museli with yoghurt.

NiecieTheTerminator · 13/09/2011 19:19

Been OK today. Had very little time for lunch today so just had a sandwich. Was very tempted later to eat cake because that is what I usually do but decided I wasn't hungry and so I haven't had any. I did succomb to a marshmallow when I let the DSs have some but stopped at 1. All very conscious which is half the battle for me I think.

I hope you are OK now Alibaba although on the plus side your body will help you out if you feel tempted to overeat which is good. It is so easy to over eat if you don't ever feel like you have overeaten imo.

How has everybody else faired today?

GiganticusBottomus · 13/09/2011 19:56

Argh! There was loads of cake at work today. I had a tiny slice which was delicious Smile I'm very hungry at the moment and even when I'm stopping to think about it I AM hungry, it's not psychological! Hopefully it's just a temporary thing Smile

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 13/09/2011 20:45

Evening ladies Smile Sounds like everyone is having a good day so far!
I've done ok, stomach seems to have sorted itself out thank goodness!

I was in sainsbury's today and they have got loads of offers on some warmer clothes if anyone has shrunk out of their cosy clothes and needs a few inexpensive wardrobe fillers!
I swear I would have thousands in the bank if it wasn't for that bloody shop - it is a 2 minute walk, and oh so convenient on the way back from preschool. I have also developed an addiction to the cheese and onion loose rolls they sell. Yum yum.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 13/09/2011 20:47

Niecie I was pretty stunned, but in a weird way pleased that my body revolted. It is the kind of thing that normal, slim people mention occasionally and I've always thought 'blimey I can just keep stuffing it in, wtf is wrong with me?'.
Well done on resisting cake, that midafternoon dip is a bad time for me too!

NiecieTheTerminator · 13/09/2011 23:22

I was in Sainsburys earlier eyeing up their cardies although why they have to have so much 3/4 length sleeve knitwear I'll never know. No use in the winter - too chilly and the rest of the time I am forever pulling them down, trying to make them full length.

I did buy a nice top there last week though - it does bump up the 'food' bill somewhat now they have extended the shop and added clothes! Never bought trousers there - they need trying on and I can't be bothered when really I am in there for breakfast cereal and toilet roll - wrong frame of mind.Smile

DS2's birthday tomorrow - my baby is 8. Shock Can't promise to avoid cake tomorrow afternoon, I'm afraid.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 13/09/2011 23:53

Niecie happy birthday to your DS!

I used to love 3/4 length sleeves. Being short in stature, and therefore of arm, they are practical. But they do me no favours I've realised, they make me look shorter, so I try and limit how much I wear them now.

Right I must go to bed, masses to do tomorrow.

NiecieTheTerminator · 14/09/2011 01:34

I think my problem with them is that they don't do anybody any favours. They have a tendency to make it look like things don't fit.

Disclaimer: I am a bit of a victim of fashion and I do have some 3/4 sleeves. I am a badly dressed hypocrite. Grin

PositiveAttitude · 14/09/2011 10:23

GGggrrrrr!! Help me!!!

DH and I were going to an interview tomorrow. He has just text me from work to say that he will have to work instead, so I have had to cancel our interview for something that we really wanted to do! I am so angry with him for so many reasons!! I am at work and have just scoffed my lunch already and feel a real emotional binge reaction coming on!!
