Oh dear - took me ages to type that last post (dinner and bath time in the middle) and now I have cross posted and probably missed the programme too!

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 06/09/2011 07:19

It's on Wednesday :)

Niecie · 06/09/2011 11:03

Ahh! Excellent. Haven't missed it then.

Dropped the boys off for the first day at new schools today. DS1 started secondary and DS2 started juniors. They are growing up!!

Nice to have some peace and quiet after 6 weeks of mayhem though.

How is everybody doing? Its blowing a gale here and raining. Was nicely soaked and looked like a drowned rat by the time I got DS2 to school. Then had to go to Sainsburys as I was put off going by DS2 yesterday. He suffered though as it meant he had no cereal for breakfast this morning (I forgot why we needed to go) and he only had time for one slice of toast!! What a bad mummy. Blush

Worse still I bought a raisin croissant thingie for my breakfast which I wouldn't have had normally. It was very yummy though and I shan't want lunch in a hurry.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 06/09/2011 11:17

Morning Smile

I'm on the home stretch to get into the bridesmaid dress, I would love to just get a little more off this week.
Then the next thing is my holiday in 6 weeks, want another 10lbs off by then.

Foul here today, Niecie I don't envy you walking in it!

Niecie · 06/09/2011 11:20

I don't ever remember the first day of term being quite this foul before.

Usually it is a lovely late summer/early autumn day. It feels like late October out there at the moment and I am contemplating putting the electric fire on as I am so cold.Shock

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 06/09/2011 12:37

It's not too bad up here in Scotland just now! Makes a change. Mmmm that raisin crossiant sounds delish, I might have one for breakfast this week! Ive just had half a can of tomato soup & garlic croutons, and I am completely full! I can share a tin with my DS now instead of eating the whole lot to myself, with 2 rounds of bread Blush. Its definitely starting to be soup season! I love making homemade soups, going to try bread soup this week.

Solo · 06/09/2011 12:53

Bread soup?! Recipe please :) HowTo.

It's wet and windy here too...Ds returned to school today. Dd goes on Thursday... my lickle baby!!! :(

Ooh, yes, howto any good soup recipes - mine tend to be a bit bland or like baby food Blush Grin

TheOriginalFAB · 06/09/2011 14:31

Hi everyone

Another day where food has not been a battle Shock.

This morning ds1 and dd were mean to each other so words were said. I kept calm and felt in control thosugh that is maazing for me Blush

Helped out in school this morning, came home and had peppers and cottage cheese and then tackled the cupboard under the stairs. I have made a start on dinner -lasgane and veg - and put 2 wash loads on. I am going to get the kids in a minute. I go a bit early so I can have some time sat in the car reading. It is tipping it down and blowing a gale here too.

ppeatfruit · 06/09/2011 15:12

Yeah IKWYM niecie It's usually a lovely day after a cold Aug. and the last thing you want to do is go and sit in a clasroom if yr a teacher or pupil Grin.

Sounds like everyone is doing well Smile solo I reckon yr man is a dxxxhxxd, good that you've found out early IMO!!

Our DD1 has been here for a few days and we've been more than a little self indulgent so it's back on Paul today with a vengeance.

bread & onion soup

TheOriginalFAB · 06/09/2011 19:14

What? Where?

PositiveAttitude · 06/09/2011 20:21

Good evening everyone.

Yes, a lovely, positive thread here.

Last day of the holidays here today. I have slipped a bit the last few weeks, although the smaller clothes sizes are all still fitting fine and even getting looser. I am hoping that being back at work will make it a but easier for me to get back into my routine that I had before the summer holidays.

Live webchat on facebook with Paul McKenna tomorrow evening, if anyone is interested.

Solo · 06/09/2011 22:28

I made an Angel Delight up tonight. I ate the lot. Kids are getting me down :(

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 06/09/2011 22:31

Solo I'm here my lovely if you want a chat to distract you from food :)

CheerfulYank · 06/09/2011 23:06

Hi everyone! I've been doing all right but am exhausted today, and I always have to fight the urge to throw the entire refrigerator in my mouth when I'm really tired.

Solo · 06/09/2011 23:22

Thanks Ali :)

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 07/09/2011 00:25

Yank - tiredness is such a trigger for lots of us on this thread! Says she who should be asleep........

Somehow I've done really well today. Tomorrow is going to be hard possibly. DS1's first morning + lunch session at preschool. The temptation to walk home and then sit and eat scones all morning will be vast Grin

I looked at some photos taken a couple of weeks ago earlier, of myself, and I like them! I look normal, not like a blob, and not like me but peering out through a fat suit.

I have found my next pair of 'target' trousers. They are apparently the size I'm currently wearing, but the waist is very tight even though they fit elsewhere. I think half a stone, and I am desperate to get into them this autumn winter. I bought them 2 years ago and have never worn them because they have always been too small. They already fit better then they have before, but not better enough.

Sorry to waffle on, I find it motivates me to write down all my ramblings Smile

solo you ok?

GiganticusBottomus · 07/09/2011 07:03

I've been sick all night. Absolutely vile but good for the weight loss I guess Envy Can't even keep down at sip of water at the moment - haven't lost the strength to mnet though Wink
Cheerful yank - I'm exactly the same when I'm tired except it's not the fridge it's the larder where the biscuits are kept!

PositiveAttitude · 07/09/2011 07:55

Oh dear Giganticus, can you hide under the duvet for the morning. Hope you feel better soon.

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 07/09/2011 08:12

Where do I find the Paul live chat? and at what time?

GiganticusBottomus · 07/09/2011 08:49

Argh! Dd has it now too so I will be clearing up her sick all day as well as my own Sad Ah the glamour of motherhood. Not.

Niecie · 07/09/2011 09:43

Oh no Giganticus - I did wonder if you would be struck down as well. SadStomach bugs are hideous and so easily passed around aren't they? How is your DS today? I hope he is letting you rest.

I wrote a post last night that doesn't seem to have been posted. Annoying. Anyway, it wasn't a good evening. DH is having work trouble and wants me to go and work for him which I don't think is a good idea and DS1 had a really bad first day at school and wants to change class as he is in with all the children with difficult behaviour for some reason. He does have SN himself but bad behaviour isn't his problem, he is just quirky and you need to know how to handle him. He was sobbing for a good hour. I hate not being able to help him but I will be speaking to the school to see if we can get him moved back with children he can get on with.Sad I am a bit at sea until I know what they were thinking when they put him in that class.

On the plus side I felt a bit emotional wrung out last night and didn't feel the urge to snack or nibble absent mindedly on chocolate like I might have done so didn't.

Alibaba - I reckon you will be in your new trousers by your holidays if not sooner. Smile
