Right the bloat and water retention from last weekend's excesses has finally gone, calm has returned.

Never heard of the Buteyko method but I know DH says I breathe through the wrong bit Confused.

Just going to take it very easy today and read the ICMYT book.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 01/09/2011 12:15

Yes I did see that - I should have waded in! That poster almost seemed to be trolling on the other thread about Doghouse, was all very weird. I have the pet topics hidden but I did go and take a peek - Shock

Solo · 01/09/2011 12:32

Hello! welcome back FAB.

I'm being quite good here...definitely feel slimmer than I did last week.

What's this about mending broken hearts? I think I need that as I keep having blips about Dd's father even though I know he's a total arse. FAB can you tell me how you got by it (I wasn't aware of your heartbreak I don't think, but my brain is ME foggy). PM me if you want to.
Glad you are back.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 01/09/2011 18:11

Jeans are perfect for a pizza lunch though, especially this time of year. Anything else and you will look mega-overdressed.

So, what are the options re.tops and shoes? I think the main thing is to make sure that your hair and makeup are nice but not overdone.

TheOriginalFAB · 01/09/2011 18:20

Jeans, a nice top and sparkly sandals if you can't do heels.

CheerfulYank · 01/09/2011 18:32

Can I come back?

Solo · 01/09/2011 19:33

My only sparkly sandals (gold, really pretty Priark ) are a wee bit too small, so my toes end up falling over the ends as I walk...didn't realise thiis until I wore them to dance in at the ball...
Tops I have some flattering TU sleeveless tops that kind of handkerchief at the sides of the hips. White, brick red, jade green, possibly black, but can't remember (I know, I know, but they were cheap and flattering!). Most of my other tops are too short IMO.

Lord knows what I'll do if there's a second date...perhaps I should cancel/eat noisily/snort like a pig instead of laughing so that there isn't a second date, then I wont need to worry about clothes!!!!!!

Solo · 01/09/2011 19:34

Come in!!! Where y'been? Grin

I got a date Cheerful.

OP posts:
PositiveAttitude · 01/09/2011 19:38

Hi CheerfulYank welcome back Grin

Jeans sound fine for a lunch.

HAve any of you received an email about PaulMc doing a facebook Q&A session next Wednesday? I have asked on the facebook page, but can anyone here tell me how I view that? Sorry, not very facebook savvy!!

CheerfulYank · 01/09/2011 19:45

Oooh, Solo , do tell! :)

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 01/09/2011 20:07

Hello Cheerful! Grin

Solo the tops sound good - maybe the green one with the gold sandals? Are the sandals ok or not? If not then Sainsbury's are selling off a ton of summer stuff, or ours is anyway. I reckon you could get some sandals for a fiver or perhaps less.
Or do you have any ballet flats/pumps maybe?

I have a migraine coming Sad Loads of face pain and I feel a bit sick. Have taken some painkillers and I'm hoping it will go away if I drink enough water.

GiganticusBottomus · 01/09/2011 21:07

Howtolookgood - thanks for the link although I am now Envy that you got to meet up - I would have made a pom bear badge!

Havening sounds very complicated although I guess it is easier with practice. I'm reasonably happy about the concept until it gets to the bit where you have to hum a couple of bars of happy birthday when it suddenly seems like a convoluted way of distracting yourself rather than actually conquering the craving.

I got stuck in a long meeting this morning and my tummy was really rumbling - I kept thinking 'I'm hungry, I should be eating....argh!!' Blush Smile Funnily enough though when I did get my lunch I couldn't finish it - amazing!

Alibaba - I hope the migraine doesn't turn into a full force one....grrrr...

Solo - good luck on the date! Smile
