hello everyone - getting fatter by the day so just signed up with MFP. Same username as MN.

I don't want to be skinny - just to stop the upwards trend and get to a healthier weight. Will weigh myself at lunchtime so join in on the Monday weigh ins.

DD2 is 7 months and I'm still BF but I can't use that as an excuse anymore as I'm now about 110kg!!!! NOT GOOD.

The most successful weight loss I had (just before falling PG with DD1) was using a similar cal counting programme & I've downloaded the AP to my iphone too. Yes it's not the 'perfect' time to start running up to Xmas but when is and I don't want to get to January even bigger.

Recently returned to work and I hoping to get a swim in 2-3 times a week, after DD2 is picked up and before work. Need to be really organised for this.

Good luck with the weigh-ins everyone! Smile

HipHopOpotomus · 28/11/2011 12:08

Wordsonapage · 28/11/2011 12:53

Have sent you a friend request

Back feels better today..
Pork chops and roast fry light veg for tea

HipHopOpotomus · 28/11/2011 13:53

thanks - great to hook up.

Didn't get weighed at lunchtime - I actually have a very rare 'hangover' today after a day of over indulgence yesterday (long long lunch) so not the best day to start, but I'm logging. Will weigh tomorrow.

ohijustdontknowanymore · 30/11/2011 07:09

Well mid week WI today and looking positive for official WI on Friday Smile

I have been more controlled this week, one wobble yesterday in work was quite stressed and really wanted comfort food but stuck to it and didn't cave.

Am also very proud of myself for completing my couch to 5k w5 r3 (a whole 20minutes running with no walking in between), I did not think I was going to do it. 5 weeks ago I struggled with run for 60 seconds walk for 90 seconds so am in a pleasurable shock at the moment Grin

If I can do this then all my fellow lifestyle changers can too, keep going even when having bad days/weeks we can do it Smile

ladydeedy · 30/11/2011 10:25

That is fantastic ohijustdontknowanymore! What amazing progress in just 5 weeks. I was the same too - I couldnt even run for 60 seconds when I first started out. Our bodies are phenomenal! It just goes to show what you can achieve when you put your mind to it. I think also it becomes easier to resist things you know are not so great for you - so you're not only becoming physically stronger but mentally too.
I ran a 5K charity run without stopping on Sunday dressed in a Santa outfit and it was the best feeling ever!! :-) Keep it up!

RGPargy · 01/12/2011 11:07

Well done dontknow that is amazing work!! :o

HipHop I have added you. Welcome! :o

I have had a not tooooo bad week so far. It's not been great, food wise, but i've had worse weeks lol. I'm trying to get back on track with it but i've just had my top up contraceptive injection (2nd one) and i'm really hoping that my appetite doesn't go through the roof like it did with the 1st injection! I have decided to get the Mirena coil fitted in feb when this jab runs out so that should put an end to the 24/7 munchies i seem to have developed since having the injection lol. Hmm

ohijustdontknowanymore · 02/12/2011 07:07

Xmas Grin Whoop have lost 3.6ibs this week, so am a happy bunny today.

Am trying hard to stay focussed and it seems to have worked this week for me, been hard but at least I can see a result today, it is the weeks you know you have tried so hard you stand on the scales and nothing Xmas Confused.

Well here's to another 7 days of MFP and couch to 5k for me.

Good luck to all with WI's today and the coming week. We're doing well , we can do it whoop Xmas Smile

magicalrealistmum · 02/12/2011 17:13

Wow, well done don't know, looks like you well and truly have your mojo backSmile . Great to see all your success.

WI was 1.8lb gain for me which is annoying but I am just better after chest infection and am now able to cycle again. I am planning to start swimming again this weekend.
I have been eating lunches at work and being a bit lax. Back on track for me, I have a fantasy of 5lb off by Christmas! Xmas Smile

RGPargy · 02/12/2011 21:48

Wow, dontknow that's amazing!! Well done! :o

jchocchip · 03/12/2011 07:46

I am hopeless at diets. Got into shape before by exercise. Need to lose several more stones. Did mfp a couple of weeks ago, going to start again today. My username is the same as on here. I have no friends on mfp :(

jchocchip · 03/12/2011 07:51

yet please add me! I'm going to do lots of swimming and a bit of cycling. And try to eat less chocolate...

ohijustdontknowanymore · 03/12/2011 08:27

Thanx guys appreciate the support Xmas Smile

Welcom jchocchip - MFP is great and along with the swimming you will see results. Try looking at it as a slight lifestyle change rather than a diet. This has helped me mentally as I hate the word diet and can give up on those at a drop of a hat as feel like I deprive myself. I use MFP for portion control and to monitor not only my calories but carbs and the fat content. Oh and dont forget the water Xmas Smile Good Luck and will add as friend on MFP (myusername is Bexsy on MFP)

I am in shock and so is dh that I am still going with MFP (110 days) and couch to 5k (on 6 week), i am pretty good at giving up on healthy living and burying my head in the sand about my weight Xmas Blush

Start stastistic when I joined thread and MFP - 5 FT 2 (only ickle lol) but was just over 15.7 stone unable to run 30 seconds (first week of 5k) am currently 13st 5 and can run for 20 min Grin OMG have never told anyone my stastics before due to pure embarrasment Xmas Blush

Goal is to get to 10st will still oficially be just over half a stone overweight but think that is a nice weight and goal. If I then want to continue I can Xmas Wink

So only 3.5 stone to go which sounds so much better than 5.8 stone to go, whoop

Honestly guys if I can do this anyone can I really was that shite at doing anything like this before and am genuinely quite happy and content again especially as I can see the results start to happen Xmas Smile

Good luck and totally believe in yourself

ohijustdontknowanymore · 03/12/2011 08:32

magical some weeks are buggers of weeks and then all of a sudden it all clicks in to place again. Sending you positive weight loss vibes for this week and its great to have targets and 5ibs I reckon in 3 weeks is realistic Xmas Smile
Go for it you can do it Xmas Smile

Good luck

jchocchip · 03/12/2011 08:54

oijdka Thanks for sharing and adding me. I've just been out for a sunrise bike ride and earned the calories for breakfast :) I have lost 1and a half stone over the last year or so (wii fit has a downward graph) but as I have so much to lose, my goal would take far too long at that rate. I will be happy if I can lose 4 stone, need to lose twice that really. :( I'm off work sick at the moment and just started swimming 3 times a week again, but when I am at work that will be difficult to fit in. I am going to do this. :)

Wordsonapage · 03/12/2011 09:09

Jchoc have added you..

Just ..that's my goal weight as well.

Wordsonapage · 03/12/2011 09:13

If anyone wants to add me feel free I'm the same name on there as well.

I whitter away inanely but mean well.. Just don't judge me for my alcohol calories Grin

bexsybooboo · 03/12/2011 09:20

Hi Guys

Have changed my talkname from ohijustdontknowanymore to bexsybooboo, got bored lol

words I have xmas party in 2 weeks not sure if MFP will allow the amount of alcohol that I possibly will consume that night lol but reckon I can stagger them off dance them off Xmas Grin

jchocchip You can do this hun I promise. Just remember we are all allowed bad days but you draw a line through it and then make the next a great day. Nearly 6 stone is what I had to lose and now nearly at 3 stone to lose.
Remeber to log everything and keep coming to this thread for the extra support Xmas Smile

QueenStromba · 03/12/2011 10:15

Morning all. I've just tried on my dress and it fits! I shall go to the ball :)

bexsybooboo · 03/12/2011 10:47

magicalrealistmum · 03/12/2011 21:49

RGPargy · 03/12/2011 22:14

Hi everyone :)

Am struggling to stay focussed but i am avoiding buying crap foods "for DD" (Wink) that would make me cheat!! I'm telling you upfront that i am going to have a hellish couple of days, foodwise, as tomorrow is DD's 4th birthday party and she is not only having a cake for the party, but also one to have at home on her actual birthday on Monday too. For whose benefit that is actually for, i am not sure lol. Blush

I am feeling a little down lately, which i am putting down to the pesky contraceptive injection i had last week (wont be having it again!!) but i am desperately trying not to comfort eat too much..... Hmm

Well done to everyone who is doing so well. Queenstromba that is great news about the dress!!

JChocchip - have added you!

I am trying to find something to do on a Tuesday, which is one of my non-gym days (the timetable at the gym is awful on a tuesday). I keep meaning to ride up to the end of the road and back (3 miles each way) but i keep forgetting Blush Another option of course is to maybe do one of the countless exercise DVDs i have. I love step and am thinking of getting mine out and giving it a good stomping on! What i could also do it just go to the gym and go for a swim or something but i'm not a strong swimmer and find swimming a bit boring. As for home DVDs, i have Davina's, i also have the Ministry of Sound one (i think??) so am happy to do a dancey work out too. Ideas? Suggestions?

:o

Wordsonapage · 04/12/2011 06:35

Rg pargy... Shred ?

Wordsonapage · 04/12/2011 06:37

Just noticed you've lost the same as me..race you to 20 lb????

RGPargy · 04/12/2011 22:21

Possibly, Words, although i do like exercising by doing things that make you forget you're exercising, IYKWIM, like step, dancey stuff, combat stuff etc. I had lost 23lb too but have put on 5lb since i had the injection :( I am up for a challenge though, definitely, although it'll have to wait until Tuesday as i'm up the pub tomorrow night for DD's birthday meal and no doubt lots of cake (she'll be 4 Hmm). :o
