I have been using MFP for a while, (well I was using but have lapsed and intend to start using it again this week). I didn't realise that you could add friends on it until I stumbled upon this thread!

My name on MFP is emmawalks, I would love to have some support on there :)

magicalrealistmum · 29/08/2011 07:33

Hi all,
Finally, I am slowly losing weight!
I am using mfp, shredding (slowly) and learning to run. Its been a revelation as I have never tried to loose weight before, much harder than I thought it would be ! (perhaps because I am in my 40s?)
mfp and the support on here has been helpful. I will add you on mfp
good luck to all

Hi all. I am back from a camping holiday over the bank holiday. Managed to put on 7lbs in 5 days. I know its not 7lbs of fat but I did eat badly Sad basically as I had no control over what the food was, and so I ended up eating refined carbs I didn't want to (pasta/white bread) or I'd have been hungry (should have taken own food I know) which made me crave more carbs. Oh dear.

Will add newbies.

BTW wanted to share my supplement finding - finding psyllium husk a diet miracle. Firstly keeps you regular on low carb diet, and secondly mades you feel full, and thirdly makes sure you drink enough water as makes you thirsty!

Hi everyone! :o

I'm back on the wagon after 5 days of eating shite shite and more shite and drinking pretty much every night too. I have also put on the poundage - around 6lbs according to my scales, but since going back on the wagon today i have been peeing for england so i'm hoping it'll show a slight loss in the morning. Unlike forever, i DID have a choice about what i ate but basically just went on a bit of a carb fest. Oooo my tummy tho!! The air has never been so green! Blush At least i've kept up with my exercise routine throughout my bingefest, so that's one thing at least!

Have added the newbies!

:o

2kidsintow · 30/08/2011 23:32

Help! I can't find out how to add people as friends.

(Thanks again to those who have added me).

jasper · 30/08/2011 23:54

forever can you tell me what is so good about Adore Yourself Slim? It must be the ONLY diet book I don't own!

foreverondiet · 31/08/2011 07:46

I liked adore yourself slim because the "diet" is only a small part of the book - she gives other tools - exercise, support group, self esteem, hypnosis. She has whole chapter explaining how to keep weight off.

heeyy my MFP username is Naomi_clarke1987 - i've lost nearly 21lbs on there since april, really enjoying it, but i do need some more friends :-( lol

lydiathetattooedlady · 31/08/2011 11:10

Hello, sorry have been MIA! I'll add other people as friends on MFP now i know how to do it! Idecided to weigh myself on friday as weeekends are my downfall, i managed to lose 2lbs in 4 days. However am dreading friday as ive had 2 days of eating crap! Im trying to stick postitve and do the whole 'if i just lose 1lb a week i'll be at goal by february' but it seems so far away!

How do people find time to exercise? Im trying to squeeze some in between the nursery run and work but it mainly consists for a quick half hour walk with the dog! Do you think thats enough? With DH working nights i cant go out to exercise and im usually so tired as i have to do all the running around after the kids that by the time all jobs are done by about 9 i cant be arsd to move!

x

jasper · 31/08/2011 12:20

thanks forever

Wifezilla · 31/08/2011 14:12

I think I've added everyone - if not, please add me (Sloth45)....

I've gone a bit backwards too - overindulged on the weekend, and no exercise. Annoyed with myself as I felt I was on a roll (or losing a roll!) and it's ground to a halt now and I have to start again with the motivation. I don't have a weigh day yet - i just weigh myself daily and record when I go down a pound. I know that's not the "right" way to do it but due to technicalities I can't always weigh myself first thing in the morning. I ran with the local running club last night so hope that's kickstarted my exercise again.

Lydia, it's often after 8pm when I exercise, which isn't ideal but is the only time I can fit it in. If DH isn't home in the evening then I either use the cross trainer in the garage, or do a DVD.

2kidsintow if you go to the "community" tab on MFP and then "find members" you can type in the name you're looking for.

Naomi - 21lb, well done!

Wifezilla · 31/08/2011 14:39

oooh, Forever, where do you get psyllium husk from? Maybe I could swap it for some green tea? I have loads left as I never got around to drinking it! Imagine the weight loss if I take psyllium husk AND green tea (off to daydream about effortless weightloss...)

FairyBlueBell · 31/08/2011 14:48

Hi all - back on the wagon from tomorrow (when the pms -chips and cake binge- should be finally over!) Just marking my place for now!

foreverondiet · 31/08/2011 17:06

I started off buying the powder but it was disgusting to drink.

I bought solgar capsules from amazon.

Lydia I always exercise in the mornings. Thankfully my gym has a fabulous creche that i have well and truly made good use of, but from next week DD will be moving to mornings at pre-school (she used to go 2 afternoons a week) so i'll be gyming once i've dropped her off and then legging it back to pre-school in time to pick her up again. She'll still be going in the creche at weekends tho :)
