Hi all!

Hope the title is ok - if not, someone else can do another one Grin

evening all, my word you have been chatting away today. I'd love to see photos of us please add me to the can see list, I'm really kicking myself for not getting DH to take a decent "before" photo, have you notice in the SW magazine how all the after photos are brill and the before ones tend to be an out of focus one of the person stuffing their face Grin. I will have to see what I can dig out. If anyone fancies being FB friends, PM me and I will let you know how to find me.

I have decided exercise is bad for me, I did my class last night outside and got bitten by some dastardly insect. I have a reaction to the bite and a swelling on my leg at least 10cm across. I managed to see the gp and i have steroids and antihistamines, so hopeful it will start going down overnight

I've been really trying to focus on my syns today and it is quite scary how innocuous things just add up. DH is cooking stirfry and has bought a sauce I just checked it and it is 11syns (between 2 not so bad I suppose) but it means no wine Sad which is probably not a bad thing with my leg . On the other hand I had a lovely chicken and couscous salad and a lovely mango and chilli dressing, i just checked it and it is only 1 syn for 15ml so that is cool.

Bee I know exactly what you are saying about DH/DPs. I think the drudgery of child rearing just gets in the way of you as a couple (I love them to bits Grin but would like one day to be able to not have to provide food and plan school/nursery etc and just spend some time with DH). Our big issue is DS2 has had a lot of problems with glue ear, repeated ear infections and ear drum perforations and we seriously haven' had more than a dozen uninterrupted full nights sleep in nearly 3 years so we are exhausted as a couple. I bite my tongue a lot cos I know we are both so on the edge, BUT I just wish he'd put his stuff in the dishwasher and clean the toilet when he has messed it up Angry.

Food today was:
B. Nectarine and strawberries and honey and natural yog
(1 syn for the honey and the yog is a HEA even though its not on the list - local rules - I don't use milk so I substitute the yog Grin
L. Waitrose couscous and chicken salad with the mango and sweet chilli sauce
(1 syn dressing there may have been some oil in the couscous but it was in the cafe so no ingredients listing)
D stirfry with sauce (5.5 syns)

snacks Ryvita minis (HEB), BBQ snack-a-jack (25 syn) and apple and a FF yog

I'm off to see if I can find a photo

Cheeseandbiscuits · 05/08/2011 21:52

hedge this is prob obvious but has your DS seen an ENT specialist? Your poor DS, that sounds hard - and your poor you and Mr Hedge. Sorry you have a horrible bite, rubbish. Good excuse for avoiding the gym?! Grin Hope the steroids kick in quick! Will make you my mate! And more than happy to be FB pals, will message you deets.

Oh and completely agree about the fat pics - they are always on holiday eating a burger!

kid · 05/08/2011 22:10

Hi Hedge, I've added you as a MN mate so feel free to look at my latest pics before I magically transform using 30 day shred Grin

Sorry to hear your DS is poorly with his ears. DD had loss of hearing in both ears a few years ago and was referred to ENT specialist. There was talk of her having grommits fitted but after further tests, they decided it was a build up of wax and they sucked it out instead {gross}
Kids grow out a lot of problems around 5 don't they? Fingers crossed that your DS grows out of his glue ear, sooner rather than later.

Hope your leg is better shortly too. Rotten insects snacking on you!

Hedgepig · 05/08/2011 22:16

found a picture (it is awful, I hope it really is private), it's actually from 2009 I was probably a stone heaver that in the photo when I stated the diet. I will get DH to take a current one for me over the w/e.

Cheese yes he's seeing an ENT consultant, so far he has had 2 set of grommets all of which have been pushed out by gunk that comes out of his ear when it gets infected. His last op 3rd in May was an adenoidectomy and 1 grommet, the other ear was perforated so they couldn't put a grommet in. He had 2 months with no ear gunk but the last cold he had resulted in gunk from both ears Sad. We saw the consultant today and amazingly the grommet is still in and his speech is really coming on so it must be giving him enough hearing to hear and speak Smile. We will see what the winter brings and if he needs to get another grommet in the other ear, the consultant wants to wait and see rather than going for a 4th Op (which we agree with). -- I bet you're glad you asked now Cheese LOL. SorryI tend to go on a bit too much about feckinh ears if i'm given half a chance, peopled have stopped asking me in RL Grin

kid · 05/08/2011 22:20

check your photo settings. You need to have it set to private and can be viewed by MN mates. Then add us lot as your mates so only those listed can see it. I can see it already so if you haven't followed those steps above, then no its not private at the moment.

Hedgepig · 05/08/2011 22:27

I did do that Kid i'm just paranopid, you are looking very sporty in your pictures.

kid · 05/08/2011 22:37

Thats my gym kit Smile Actually, I wear a t-shirt over that when I leave the house to go gym but in the house its fine.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 05/08/2011 22:39

Back on iPhone as dreamfeeding. Your poor DS what an ordeal. The main thing is that his speech is coming on and hearing isn't affected.

Wil check out photos in a min. Have just booked lollibop for tomorrow, something to do! Smile

Hedgepig · 05/08/2011 22:59

Cheese Lollibop looks fab, it has things that both boys would enjoy. I wish I'd known about it before it would have been great to do but we are mega busy this weekend

Kid I go to my SW weigh ins in my gym kit and it is the lightest thing i have to put on Grin. Someone I know at work also goes to SW and she said she took her jeans off in class the other night cos they were too heavy to be weighed in

kid · 05/08/2011 23:01

I know my jeans weigh 1 1/2lb as I weighed myself with them on and then took them off.
DH reckons our scales are fine if they are used downstairs. I was using them in the toilet but apparently the floor is not level in there so it would all depend on which floor board you were leaning on.
I still say they are broken as they are saying I am too heavy Grin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 05/08/2011 23:06

I hope it isn't too old for DD but gymboree etc are there so hopefully. Haven't quite worked out how I am going to drag the buggy across London.

I always weigh myself starkers! Wink

Both hedge and kid have lovely neat figures!

grinningbee · 05/08/2011 23:09

Good evening everyone! I go out once in a blue moon and you all come out for a natter Grin

We went to Pizza Hut in the end. I have eaten 20.5 syns by having a salmon pasta bake. Bugger. At least I didn't have the pizza. Would have been worse. Dd loved it, and ds tried all sorts from my salad bowl bless him, plus the salmon too.

Cheese that thread is the funniest thing I've read. Thank you for the link, it made me laugh till I cried (really).

Can I just say, I'm a little nervous of putting my pics up now. You all look lovely, and I look like a sack of spuds. I will try to do it tomorrow, promise. Need to find the data cable for the phone.

When we got home, dh showed me a couple of pics he took tonight. As I scrolled past there were a few of the inside of the pub down the road (right before tonights pics, so very recent, today I think) and including a pic of an almost finished pint. When I asked he said it wasn't his, he was just in there collecting a payment from someone. I hope I'm wrong, but I may be being taken as a fool. He also asked if I wouldn't mind driving both ways tonight. My thoughts are all over the place, and he is snoring on the sitting room floor. I may have to stop posting about him as it worries me a bit that he may find it.

Anyway. If peeps are joining facebook, I'm on it too. Don't use it very often, but that could be changed Wink

OP posts:
Cheeseandbiscuits · 05/08/2011 23:13

Hi bee am Envy of pizza hut and well restrained. Don't be nervous, I haven't put the ones of me in my swimmers on hol yet Wink. Do you def know it was this evening? Have you tired talking to him about how you feel? He really doesn't sound very helpful....

grinningbee · 05/08/2011 23:21

I didn't get the chance to look at the info for when it was taken. Might risk it tomorrow if I can. If it was, it was done when I was told he was working.

Might look now while he is asleep. Daren't say more, but will say yay or nay tomorrow. Won't post anymore about him now other than that. He gets VERY defensive and denies things when I ask, has also asked someone to lie for him recently.

Back to normal "fun" (read knackered!) me tomorrow Grin

OP posts:
grinningbee · 05/08/2011 23:26

Very quickly - oh crap Sad it was taken about 20 mins before he came home. Must go as he's stirring. Will log out tonight just in case.

Night all
x

OP posts:
kid · 05/08/2011 23:40

kid · 06/08/2011 14:47

Hope you are enjoying your day cheese
I went shopping today and got a skirt and a couple if bikinis all size 14, I haven't tried them on yet though!

3 people noticed I've lost weight, they said they can see I've lost a lot of weight so that brightened my day and made me feel my aching muscles are worth it after all!

grinningbee · 06/08/2011 17:19

Hi all. I have updated my pics if anyone fancies scaring themselves. If you can't see them, please shout as I have only added a few names to the mates list so far.

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
Beans on toast and two clementines
Leftover Shepherd's Lentil Pie

Feel knackered today as dd started crying at 5.30 so ended up reading 3 billy goats gruff, and then when I got back to bed ds woke up. Someone else didn't even stir.

Hope you're all having lovely weekends

OP posts:
Cheeseandbiscuits · 06/08/2011 18:44

Wow bee you have lost a LOT of weight! Well done you. I created a FB page as I find uploading pics here the right size is a faff. Wanna join? Sorry you were up so early!

Had a fab day at Lollibop. DD, at 5 months, prob didn't get the most out of it as it is better for toddlers. However, we had a fun day out doing something DIFFERENT! Had a grilled steak sandwich...all Ok except the bread. Luckliy she has konked out so hoping thats it from her for a while.

kid thats great, size 14! Excellent! Compliments help don't they!

grinningbee · 06/08/2011 20:01

You can tell from those pictures really? Blush thank you. Yes, I'd love to join please, if you want to pm me.

The day out sounds lovely. Any break from routine I find is very welcome.

I swear ds is having another growth spurt. He has been so hungry today. He conked out just over an hour ago, and will hopefully stay that way for a bit. Dd is currently giving her dad a hard time with the bedtime routine Grin

pixiestix · 06/08/2011 20:05

Wow, what a lot to catch up on in 24 hours!

We are moving back to London Cheese after a complete fucking disaster of a move to the country for a year. High hopes of a new life and all that jazz turned into an unemployed husband and a mountain of debt. Hmm Not one of my brighter ideas! Although I?m reeeeeally not that thrilled to be going back we?ve both got pretty good jobs there and it will be SUCH a relief to have a bit of money in our pockets.
I am very Envy of your gorgeous curly hair btw!

Ouch at your insect bite Hedgepig Sad That sounds really sore. I did laugh at your description of the before and after photos! Grin Its so true. I suppose it makes sense as the catalyst photograph - people go on holiday feeling fab in their new clothes and with their new suntans, eat and drink like mad and are horrified when the piccies come back showing them with nineteen chins and an arse you could rest your pint on

Angry Bee that would really piss me off with the photos. Has he come up with an explanation today?
Would love to see your photos if you don?t mind adding me!

Going to put some pics up just as soon as my bloody stupid internet connection is fast enough to do it. I got DH to take an ?after? shot yesterday and was a bit depressed to realise I am still a total porker. I have been feeling quite good recently and thought I looked thinner than that! More motivation to keep going with SW though. I reckon I have about a stone and a half to go before my wobbly bits are passable.

Is the FB group private? If so I would like to join! I?m quite hard to find because of my privacy settings so is there someone I can message or poke or something so you can find me? Confused Grin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 06/08/2011 20:29

Hi pixie thanks for complimenting my curly hair you suckup I hate it! Where you moving to in London, I'm here in Landan town. Its not that bad! Will message you and bee my name and you can add me on Facecrack.

kid · 06/08/2011 20:38

I'm in London too pixie, wonder who you'll end up nearer to, me or cheese?

Dh wanted to go out for a meal so we went to a mediterranean place. I had falafels and lamb shish with rice and salad. I didn't have any desert but dud have a magners to drink.
I'm going to do day 3 of shred before I go to bed and I'm going cardio combat tomorrow morning. I haven't been near the gym for almost 2 weeks but at least I've started shred at home (makes me feel less guilty anyway)
