Fab you poor love, have a (((hug)))

You are ill, and sad and no wonder you can't get your head around anything. Concentrate on getting well, and then worry about your weight. I know it is very cheesy, but when you are feeling rubbish about your tummy try and think of the reasons why it is how it is. Because of your lovely babies.
Mine is a wreck - 2 pregnancies, 2 sections, separated muscles, too overweight for too long, stretch marks on stretch marks. No matter how much weight I lose I will never wear a bikini again. Would I trade my lovely boys for my pre-baby tum? Absolutely not :)

TheOriginalFAB · 12/07/2011 17:14

that is how i feel but i also feel ashamed that i want to look better (typing 1 handed while cuddling poorly boy)

PositiveAttitude · 12/07/2011 17:19

Brew Biscuit and a ((hug)) FAB. Hope it doesn't last long!

I agree, I will never have a bikini body! (9pregnancies - 1 CS, 4 VBs, and 4 Mcs just disgusting!!) I also agree I would not change it though - most of the time! Wink Hmm - 5 teenagers in the house can be VERY trying and is enough to turn a saint to chocolate alcohol! Grin

I am wondering if i should go swimming tonight as I ahve had a bad back for a few days. It is on the mend, but really dont want to put it out again. What does anyone think?

This morning I forgot to take my water bottle into work. I am a tightwad and refused to spend £1.50 on one from the shop, so went without and i have had a bad day foodwise. I am sure it is because of the water! If I drink, I dont get hungry. I really must remember it every day.

TheOriginalFAB · 12/07/2011 17:23

I keep a large bottle of water in the car always and drink when stuck at a red light and when I get to my destination. Why not leave a bottle in your car for when you forget?

PositiveAttitude · 12/07/2011 18:11

URGH!! Doesnt it get warm and disgusting? I normally put mine in the fridge overnight so that it is nice and chilled for work.

TheOriginalFAB · 12/07/2011 18:24

no as i take it from the fridge and normally drink it quick enough to not go warm

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 12/07/2011 18:57

PA - get one of those mini cool bag thingies?

PositiveAttitude · 12/07/2011 19:03

Mmmm I think I have one lurking in the back of a cupboard somewhere. I will go off for a dig!!

SoloAgainItSeems · 13/07/2011 01:06

Well! I have bought a gown off ebay for £31 and because I had £20 on my TopCashBack it only cost me £11.00!!!!! hope it bloody well fits me! bought it in size 16 and it has a lace up back, so should be adjustable.

Thank you Ali.

See you all tomorrow.

PositiveAttitude · 13/07/2011 06:12

Well done Solo, I love ebay, too. I won an auction last night for a cycling top for DH. Oh the excitement!! Grin

Chugging along ok here with the PM-ing. I know others are finding it a bit tough at the moment, but I am pleased that I am sticking to the eating mostly. I don't tend to do the eating consciously very well, and should try to do better with that one. I am pleased that the weight is steadily coming off and my tum is noticeably smaller.
I dont want this to sound as if I am gloating in any way - I just thought that maybe some people may need encouraging that this can and does work!

Have a good day everyone. How are you today FAB?

TheOriginalFAB · 13/07/2011 07:45

I am fed up. I don't mind DS2 being off again (though he slept all night and temp is fine so not sure why DH thinks he should be) but it does mean I can't have a rest and I need one Sad.

PositiveAttitude · 13/07/2011 09:15

Will he snuggle under a duvet with you and watch a DVD, FAB?

Niecie · 13/07/2011 09:16

How old is he FAB?

Us mothers never get the chance to be ill in peace do we?

Size 16 dress is still impressive Solo - I wish I could fit into one.

Not doing very well here. Resolutely stuck weightwise and today won't be good. Going out for lunch for pizza and then out this evening so no proper tea and probably loads of bad for you nibbles. My parents are coming round this pm too for a cup of tea and a biscuit which is fine except my Dad drives me barking mad. He always has because he basically is not a very nice person but he has Alzheimers now and I feel guilty for finding him a pain in the arse because he is ill. Sad

At least they will have to leave (my mum can't stand being out with him for very long either so we agreed that they wouldn't stay long) as I have to be the church at 5pm to get the fete stuff out of the loft. Am helping with that on Saturday and we need to get ready.

Plus I stuffed up on Monday asking DS2's friend round to play. His mum asked if Wednesday is alright? I said yes because every other Wedesday is, forgetting how much I have on today, and now I can't find her number. Probably due to a handbag change since she gave it to me a few weeks ago but still. Annoying and very Blush

So all this really begs the question of what the hell I am doing here moaning instead of cleaning the house - it is a tip and my Dad will go on and on about it. Oh yes, DH has decided to work from home for an hour because there are too many distractions in the office. Hmm

At least it has put me off my breakfast.Smile

Niecie · 13/07/2011 09:18

Sorry that turned into a rant. Blush

I only came on here to commiserate with FAB and congratulate Solo on her size 16 dress.

TheOriginalFAB · 13/07/2011 09:52

Well done Solo Grin.

Thanks to everyone.

DS2 is 6. He is watching Cbeebies and will hopefully have a little nap later. I am doing a few bits around the house.

Just to add to the fun DS1 got stung by a wasp this morning just before we were leaving for school..

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 13/07/2011 10:27

Morning ladies.

Solo well done - on both the size and price of dress!

Niecie - I've got DH underfoot today. He has only got 2.5 weeks left in this job before he starts his new one, so he's not feeling the need to drive all the way to Reading every day to go to the office! In some ways it is nice to have him here, but it disrupts my morning something terrible Grin

Fab - can you have a lie down on the sofa while he plays if you make sure the doors are locked etc?

PA you are doing so well, I really wish I could get into a groove with this. My basic problem is that I just don't have the time to take long enough over a meal. Life is so rushed atm that I am hurrying through meals more often than not.

TheOriginalFAB · 13/07/2011 10:52

DS is lying quietly in bed and he may go off to sleep. Doesn't matter if not, he will still have had a rest.

DingDongMerrilyOutOfSeason · 13/07/2011 13:08

Hi all!
Niecie moaning on here is a release, it will make you feel better about a situation which is out of your control so does serve a purpose Grin
Congrats Solo great work. So pleased that so many people are doing well with this.
FAB hope he feels better soon, try and have a rest too, it is hard looking after poorly children.
PA not gloating, much needed motivation!
I had my 12 week scan yesterday, due mid january so absolutely no excuse to put on any weight for a while yet, although am showing already, think that is what 3DCs does to your tummy...
Have a great day!

TheOriginalFAB · 13/07/2011 16:20

See my thread in chat and my thread in childrens health for how to miss meals Hmm.

SoloAgainItSeems · 13/07/2011 16:31

Hello all...running in to scream!!!
Got this email from the dress seller today:

Hi Dear
Thank your for your purchase, while we are sorry for that, when we plan to send the dress to u, we check it carefully, we fund it broken, and what's worse, the dress is the last one, so we have no choice but to refund your payment.is that ok for you?
Hope you can understand us, waiting for your reply.

^^

TheOriginalFAB · 13/07/2011 16:36

oh no Sad.

PositiveAttitude · 13/07/2011 17:32

Oh no Solo. Bummer!!

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 13/07/2011 17:33

Oh solo! Nooooooooo! :(

Niecie · 14/07/2011 09:33

Oh Solo - what a pain! At least they didn't send it out and then quibble about whether or not it was broken when they sent it which wouldn't have been unheard of on Ebay.

Back to the drawing board then?

Pain in the neck not having threads I'm on isn't it? I wasn't sure if I was missing anything so I had to track you all down. Hope it comes back soon.

SoloAgainItSeems · 14/07/2011 21:21

Well, I got an ex sample from a wedding and occasion shop yesterday. It is lovely, but it's really not what I wanted :( and cost me £50 plus I'll have to have it dry cleaned (mega bucks no doubt!). I'm pretty annoyed, but I have a frock. I wanted to wear flatties under a meringue, but I'll have to wear heels with this one and suffer sore feet I'm going to try to get at least back to where I was weight wise when I fell off the wagon so that the dress is at it's best...mind you, I may then have to take the bust in...
What I wanted to wear

What I've now got wanna see? Mine is in a kind of fudge brown chiffon (also has shoe string straps), with a gold sash, roses and tails...The under dress is in cream.

Hope you are all Ok? :)
