The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded support system:

  1. Eat what you WANT
  2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
  3. Eat CONCIOUSLY
  4. STOP when you are satisfied

I've C&P'd part 4's links as they are helpful.

Here is the book on AMAZON which is all you need to get started!

This is the tapping technique EXPLAINED - this can be useful for cravings.

There's another one !. Gently press thumb and forefinger either side of your adam's apple (not too close) for 10secs. 2. Then massage gently for 10 secs. 3. Do the same at the top of your neck (right under chin) and at the base.

SoloIsAHotCougar · 24/06/2011 09:54

Exercises sound good! Is the last one at the base of your neck or the chin? sorry, probably being thick here!

I'm easy about the thread title; as long as we all know where it is, it's immaterial really.

I've got so many problems mounting right now that I want to comfort eat (again!!!)

TheOriginalFAB · 24/06/2011 10:32

Don't do it Solo. You have been doing so well.

If you want problems, my dd has just wished ds1 dead SadShockAngry.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 24/06/2011 10:49

Solo don't do it!

Fab - don't worry, that is so so normal with siblings, honestly. Me and my brothers were just like that growing up Grin I remember actually trying to hit one of them round the head with a cricket bat once. Luckily they ducked otherwise serious damage would have been done!!

I am refocused today. I am following a press-ups program that I have the app for on my phone, and trying to sort out my tummy muscles.

I will be thin.

SoloIsAHotCougar · 24/06/2011 11:15

I know! I know! but I really want to eat. Or drink. But no alcohol here and can't afford to buy any. Maybe it's toom early anyway, plus I don't drink more than a glass of wine, so can't even get plastered!

FAB, I read your post about your troubles, FM etc. You have my sympathies/empathies...
Also, my Ds continually calls me 'evil' which has started to hurt/grate and only because I tell him to get ready for school/that he can't do so and so/leave my things alone etc...
I now can't get help to buy him a new blazer and uniform for Dd...I can buy her uniform quite cheaply, but it's her shoes I like to buy Clarkes or Start Rite and thought I could buy her shoes and his blazer with a uniform grant, but now I have to have 'exceptional circumstances' such as relocating due to DV. Sadly, my only exceptional circumstances are that I can't meet the full mortgage payments, pay the car tax/insurance due next week or buy a bloody bottle of red. Bloody David Cameron has brought the 'youngest child' back to work/seeking work rule down to age 5 too...Oh I'm feeling grand.
Rant over (for now!!!).

TheOriginalFAB · 24/06/2011 11:20

Solo, if you live near me I will buy you a bottle of red.

SoloIsAHotCougar · 24/06/2011 11:46

Aww thanks FAB! but I don't think we are neighbours...Be nice if we were though :) not for the bottle of red, but just generally...

pp - where do you get these exercises from? That neck one is brilliant, I can feel it working when I do it. Plenty of time to do that while I'm waiting for the kettle to boil in the mornings Grin

TheOriginalFAB · 24/06/2011 13:39

I have to go out now, be back at tea time.

ppeatfruit · 24/06/2011 13:43

OOh good AliMy ds had the book. I got a copy from Amazon 2nd hand It's called THE COMPLETE SYSTEM OF SELF HEALING by Dr. T. Chang. It's acupressure and there are so many brilliant exercises in it. Sorry you're having a bad time Solo LOVE YOURSELF DON"T OVER EAT.

ppeatfruit · 24/06/2011 13:54

Sorry SoloWith the other chin exercise you can start a the top of yr neck (under the chin) and work down or whatever. i tell you what, it's like i've had a natural face lift since doing these exercises. There are loads for the face as well.

SoloIsAHotCougar · 24/06/2011 14:03

Niecie · 24/06/2011 16:59

How sad am I? I came looking at this thread today because I wanted to know when I was last visited by AF and I thought I might have mentioned it here because I haven't bothered to note it anywhere else.

And it is due which kind of explains by grumpiness and a few of the usual symptoms. The munchies haven't been too bad though. Anyway, I need to get organised more with my life. I feel a bit out of control. I miss a church fete meeting this week as I have no one place to write important dates and I completely forgot about it. I wonder if I would be better with the gadget like an iphone - I keep seeing people tapping away on them instead of writing in a diary. On the other hand, I don't bother looking at the on-line calendars on Outlook or the like so would it be any better than an old fashioned paper diary?

My poor organisation doesn't help with Pauling either. My general lack of real progress in this is just a reflection of the chaos in all areas of my life. Pathetic really.

Alibaba - one day I will get round to PMing you and finding out if we do know each other! Wouldn't that be odd?

Would you say we live in the SE too? Perhaps us Southerns should all get together. I was going to suggest we meet for lunch but what if one of us isn't hungry - that could make lunch a bit difficult?! Wink Smile

blimey · 24/06/2011 21:20

I live in sarf east london and have given in to my hula hoops and getting tiddly addiction after weeks of being strong - nice though!

SoloIsAHotCougar · 25/06/2011 00:15

Niecie! that's funny Grin (one of us not hungry)

Blimey, looks like we are 'neighbours' too :)

Had a terrible day here...A week before the wedding and I think I'm gaining in leaps and bounds

ppeatfruit · 25/06/2011 09:08

When in london I'm in the Streatham area but we are sort of moving to nr, Redhill so still within easy reach of the sarf (unless we're back in mid west France of course) Smile if any one wants to meet some time,it would be fun.

PositiveAttitude · 25/06/2011 09:24

Seeing as you are all neighbours, does anyone live anywhere near the Isle of Wight? Hmm thought not Sad .

ppeat Sad about the tooth. does it hurt?

Neicie I am the most disorganised person you could meet, too! For a few years I have bought diaries, but beyond September I never even look in them. - that would not sound too bad, it sounds as if I spend 9 years of the year being organised, but NOOOOOOOoo I use the academic year diaries for my job! Blush Blush Blush
I recently got a Samsung Galaxy S, which does all the diary stuff, but I type it all in, looking all efficient, then just never look at it!
Hey Ho, people either take me as i am, or not at all!

Last evening I went out with my sisters and brother. Once every couple of months we go out for a meal. I was soooo hungry, having not eaten much during the day in preparation. Then in the car there I managed to have a row with one of my sisters and then was so fuming that I seemed to eat because I was angry when our food came. Angry I certainly did not stop when I was satisfied. Sad Blush

Have a good weekend everyone. Smile

blimey · 25/06/2011 10:09

yay, nice to be neighbours!
hope your dentist sorts your tooth out quickly ppeat what are you up to in france? (sounds like an exciting jetsetty sort of life!)

SoloIsAHotCougar · 25/06/2011 11:02

ppeatfruit · 25/06/2011 11:43

AAAH poor Dd solo Thanks blimey andPositive Yes it hurts but you know me i'm taking echinacea and liquidising raw garlic with fresh lemon juice which is a natural A. B. so i've got it under control.

We decided to get a 2nd home in france when the DCs grew up (i think i'm older than you lot!!) It is a bit jetsetty but we tend to drive back when we have the time (we have a little flat in s. London) DH really is jetting around Europe a lot for work. You can buy fabulous restored medieval stone houses round here for less than 3000euros!! Its fabulous here! but i miss the DCS soo much!! Sad You can't have it all IMO alologise for going on but i can at last post more than 3 lines anyone noticed?!!!
