Daft, isn't it?

Step away from the chocolate!!

blimey · 22/06/2011 20:33

I always weigh more at the end of the day so I only check my weight at the beginning of the day - probably gives fake weight loss due to dehydration but at least it's a consistent time

MuffinsMummy · 22/06/2011 20:46

I drank a pint of water and got stuck into work so managed to resist the chocolate :)

People have been commenting on how slim I look compared to before but I just can't see it :( hopefully soon I still have too many wobbily bits!

DD3 scolded her foot on a hot cup of tea and it's all bandaged up bless her. We are going on holiday in 2 more sleeps Grin but won't be able to leave until gone 10 now as I have take her to get it looked at again. It's going to take about 6 1/2 hours to drive there and that's only if we don't get stuck in too much traffic! I am really looking forward to the break where I hope to completely forget about XH!

florencerusty · 22/06/2011 21:33

Apologies first. I have been remiss and very very absent and not even sure why. Sort of in the right headspace - most of the time but had a weird weekend. Anyway I just need someone to say I am ok please. Not hungry but just wanting to eat - have a stye on my eye which is a sure sign of struggling day to day for me. DH and one DD are sick with a bug and I am frigging knackered! So .... I could have eaten a smarties easter egg and it would have to have been the whole thing - or 2/3 of a large pot of lemon yogurt. I opted for the yogurt which isnt low cal but it has to be better than easter egg right?

MuffinsMummy · 22/06/2011 21:39

As long as you eat when you are hungry and stop when you are full I don't think it makes much difference what you eat.

I was going to do the 30 day shred DVD tonight but not sure I'm a bit tired! I need motivation :(

florencerusty · 22/06/2011 21:44

but thats sort of the point I wasnt really hungry :(

Ephiny · 22/06/2011 22:31

In my case it would probably have been better to eat the egg (assuming that's what you really wanted, because I probably would have ended up eating the yoghurt then having the egg as well afterwards! I think that's the reason for the 'eat what you want, not what you think you should' rule.

Obviously better if you can avoid eating at all if you're not hungry, but sometimes we have to think damage limitation :(

SoloIsAHotCougar · 23/06/2011 00:22

Flo, welcome back too :) don't worry, we've all had a weird time this past 3 or 4 weeks. I've fallen right off the wagon, but hope to climb back on soon. Just climb back on with us :)

I find that if I'm not enjoying the food no matter how much I eat I don't get the satisfied feeling!

PositiveAttitude · 23/06/2011 08:08

Muffins when you are really hungry for food, do you really enjoy those first few mouthfuls when it tastes really gooooooooood?? As you eat more of it the flavours tend to not be so strong or quite so good, when you notice that I think that is when you are getting to the "satisfied" level. Well, it is for me, anyway. Wink

Momentous day for me yesterday, I went for a very short "jog". Shock I did it at 5.30am so I was not seen by any living creature! Well, a ginger cat took a little interest, but that was all. It really was very short, but it was a start and was the first time in 44 years I have ever jogged anywhere, other than when I am late,

Have a good day everyone. Smile

MuffinsMummy · 23/06/2011 09:57

PA are you trying the couch to 5k plan? If you want to start jogging it looks really good. The first day is walk for 5 mins, jog for 2 mins and walk for 5 mins.

I am finding that I don't know when to stop now! To begin with I was really good but have lost my way slightly, hopefully will get back on it next week.

ppeatfruit · 23/06/2011 10:11

Theoriginal i have been meaning to ask how's the blood type thing going? Positive I keep wanting to go running early but can't quite get my head round it so i dance to the radio before breakfast instead!

ppeatfruit · 23/06/2011 10:20

Howto It's good to have you back' the same happened to me (I blame easter not myself Blush) I can tell everyone now Blush but i've lost nearly all of it, you just need to get back to it again that's the best thing about it!!!!Smile

TheOriginalFAB · 23/06/2011 10:20

Confused Was I meant to be doing the blood type diet? It rings a bell but I haven't been doing anything but trying to eat when hungry only. I have had a made fortnight so not with it Blush.

ppeatfruit · 23/06/2011 10:30

Oh yes I almost forgot does anyone want a 'loose that extra chin' exercise? solo you don't look like you need it. Have you checked out the blood type? it can cure lots of illnesses.

New title; WE ARE ALL SLIMMING WITH PAUL MCKENNA, LOOKING AND FEELING GORGEOUS! HOW? BY EATING WHEN WE'RE HUNGRY!!! What d'you reckon?

TheOriginalFAB · 23/06/2011 10:57

mad not made.

ppeatfruit · 23/06/2011 14:11

` Original It was on another thread i suggested you gave up wheat and a few other things for yr. fibromyalgia. Once everything is calmer maybe you could look at the books on amazon Peter D'Adamo is the author (you can get them 2nd hand).

PositiveAttitude · 23/06/2011 14:16

MM I am looking into the C25K, but wanted a "practice" to see if I died first! Grin Am going to do it though, I think!!

TheOriginalFAB · 23/06/2011 14:25

pp - yes I remember now. I don't eat a lot of wheat, if any knowingly tbh, but I will add it to my things to think about and research list. Thank you.

ppeatfruit · 23/06/2011 16:56

Sorry Positive what or who is C25K?! it can kill you Shock!

ppeatfruit · 23/06/2011 17:04

Oh silly me couch to 5k plan what does it involve? I've always wondered.

PositiveAttitude · 23/06/2011 17:38

Well bugger me!!!!! I have just had an attempt at the C25K. Day 1. One problem....... my bloody phone suddenly "paused" the timer on the first run, which is only supposed to be 90 seconds........ havent got a clue how long I was going for, but it felt like 90 minutes, til I realised what had happened. I will sort my glitch out and try again tomorrow. Confused

ppeat, its a slow torture!! Phone is out to kill me now!!! No, its a very gentle way of starting to run. I think it could take me a long time to get to the 5k, if ever, but anything is better than nothing, so I will give it a go!! If you google it there is a very good website that explains it all and its all free!!

MuffinsMummy · 23/06/2011 21:01

ppeatfruit there are a few different C25K plans on the internet some a bit more intense than others. I started doing it but even running 3 minutes was hard work Blush

SoloIsAHotCougar · 23/06/2011 23:10

That's a looooooooooooooooong thread title PP Grin

I certainly do need to rid myself of a recently acquired and unwanted second chin Blush no, to the blood type thing for curing illness...???
I've had far too much birthday cake today but it's just being extremely crap atm regardless of what I eat. Things are going stupidly wrong Confused

It's long but it says it all and it's not suggestive Grin. Okay TheFabChin Ex it's more a stretch and it DOES work !.Stand or sit on backless chair BREATHE THROUGH YR. NOSE KEEP YR. MOUTH CLOSED.2. Drop yr. head back and bring shoulders up to to yr. ears as far as you can hold it for 10 secs and bring yr tongue to the inside of yr front teeth at the same time. 3. gently drop yr head down to chest and press shoulders down (keeping arms hanging down. hold for 10 secs and do 3 times in morning.

This is an acupressure ex. Do it before eating it actually kills hunger pangs. If you want to extend it bend gently backwards while dropping head back.
