Welcome one, and welcome ALL to our 10th Thread, celebrating the long haul that has been central to our successful weight loss...

There is certainly lots more success to be enjoyed, so stay and weigh, there is always someone on hand for support or to give a kick up the backside as needed Grin We are good at motivating one another that's for sure!

Passes out the champagne that looks suspiciously like wine, Blondes you are only allowed ONE!

Grin it didn't even cross my mind pisty! didn't take it like that at all.

Today I've had 1 slice of toast
bowl of soup (tomato, covent garden)
4 ryvitas with low fat houmous
yogurt
Rice cake
low fat walkers crisps
Quorn piece/small baked spud/salad/branston/low fat mayo

fruit later

Bebe you would be proud, I'm helping dd make a sock fish - we found an example on the internet, and I even did some sewing! We cut off the heel, sewed the back, she is now busy sticking on jewels. When she's done that we will stuff it.

bebejones · 30/05/2011 18:22

:o Sounds fabulous! Shall be expecting a piccy when it's done!

Been to hobbycraft today to get more clay for the wedding cake topper I'm making for friend. It was HEAVING with stressed out parents & grandparents all muttering about having to 'entertain' the childerbeast over half term if it's wet! So funny, tis my idea of heaven having DD at home crafting! :) Guess I'll feel different when she is bigger! Hmm

My menu for today is no way near so healthy! Blush

Started off well....
OJ & lf yoghurt

then we went out....
lunch - mcDs (fries & chicken burger)

chocolate brownie square when I got home
about 6 ritz type crackers, 4 with lf philly
half a small baguette with ham & cheese
small 'cup' wafer cone & caramel ice cream!

Ooopsy! :o

Nothing but salad and water for the rest of this week for me!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 30/05/2011 18:44

lol bebe - I was never very good at doing craft with my DC Blush although they did like playdough. Grin

I do the sport stuff I suppose, but when it comes to making lovely things I'm so crap!! Hence PistyNoKnit

I have eaten today:-
2 muller light yogs
I seared tuna salad nicoise thing, DD knicked all the olives and I gave DH the potatoes, so really just leaves, tomato, egg, squeaky beans etc

and we can gloss over the gins

Ted is just about to bugger orf to South Africa and sadly will again miss DS's birthday next week.

Where has the bloody sun gone? It was grotty first thing, then it sort of perked up, then it was hit and miss and now it's just raining again!

OP posts:
bebejones · 30/05/2011 19:33

As per bloody usual it has been horrid (and by horrid today I mean it has chucked it down rather than just been grey) all day & then the sun came out right when it was time to put DD to bed! Hmm

I'm not much of a one for sports...my mum always said I was built for comfort not speed...Hmm thanks mum!!! DD is begging to do ballet (as much as a 2.9 year old can beg for anything) and she will start when she is 3...downward slope of extra curricular activities from then on in I guess!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 30/05/2011 19:57

you aren't kidding Bebe..

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 30/05/2011 23:04

I've just remembered that I dreamt about toast last night. Wtf I'd rather dream about Brad Pitt than carbohydrates!

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 31/05/2011 10:59

You've been rewarded on the scales pisty!

Not chucking it down today, bit of sun here but it's quite cold.

The dc have a friend each to play so I am hoping to leave them to it and hide with my book in a corner somewhere (before making chocolate rice krispie cakes) a snacking time for me so I am being VERY firm with myself.

Bebe dd is doing swimming and Rainbows, but ds won't do anything....I have an idea of trying to find a creative writing group for kids...he's writing a hilarious story atm about his two soft toys, monks and polar...

RatherBeOnThePiste · 31/05/2011 13:37

The question is, will I like Boxercise, or will I just look like a prat with flapping arms?! (I think Blondes, you might know best here?)

Or

Am I better to try spinning (Bebe will be excited and think I'm talking crafty matters!) I'm NOT, I'm talking bikes...

And do I really want to join the gym?

I think I do, I'm quite keen to run on a treadmill, rather than outside and do stuff with machines to tone up.

Having said all that, part of me just wants a tummy tuck and arse lift, and something done with my arms, possibly my bangers. Do you think that would be painful?!

Oh what to do......

OP posts:
Smalline · 31/05/2011 16:15

Why don't you try them all Piste and see which one you prefer, it's good to do a variety of exercises/classes not only does it target different areas of the body, but it also stops you from getting bored.

GettinTrimmer · 31/05/2011 16:20

pisty, I've done spinning before, it uses up an incredible amount of calories but it is hard.

You may remember I was put off spinning for ages as the bike collapsed under me once!

GettinTrimmer · 31/05/2011 16:23

I have eaten a tad too much today.

slice of toast/yogurt

4 ryvitas/small amount of grated cheese/teasp of crunchy peanut butter
bag of low fat crisps
banana

2 rice cakes with a touch of houmous

Hope I've not forgotton anything....

Tea is salmon with salad and about 10 oven chips!

fruit later

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/05/2011 17:17

i love boxercise, body combat and circuts

RatherBeOnThePiste · 31/05/2011 17:39

you see I can do one free trial class on Sunday, but then I would have to sign up for 6 weeks. There are some classes during the day where it is turn up and pay, but not when I can go.

So my realistic choices (in beginners and in my time frame) are
spinning - but what is that lovely GT, do I just sit and pedal a bike? Cos I do that on the way to work! (I do know that it's not quite like that!!) AND I do remember the bike breaking on you that was so unfortunate Trim....

pilates - but everyone does that round here, and it just doesn't appeal, although I could end up with a butt like Pippa Middleton apparently.

zumba - isn't someone doing this on here? I think I might get the giggles if I have to dance

or boxercise
sadly no combat stuff

Of those I have to say boxercise sounds like it might be the most upbeat and entertaining, although I'd have to wear long sleeves

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 31/05/2011 17:49

boxercise is so therapeutic - i went the week after dh died and had a good old punching session

spinning is hard work, kills the thighs and bum cheeks

circuts will get you going if they have that - normally minute/90 sec blasts doing thrusts/running/skipping/star jumps/sit ups etc

sounds easy but 90secs of skipping is hard lol

GettinTrimmer · 31/05/2011 17:53

Oh, spinning is great Piste, when the bike doesn't collapse. Not boring, up and down in your seat, to music, putting on the resistance, etc.

I have been asked along to a zumba class but I'm avoiding as I have 2 left feet, although that would probably be a laugh.

Can anyone tell me how to upload a picture of dh/dc on facebook? I keep clicking on edit profile and clicking on the bit with a dotted line to put a photo in but nothing happens.

smokinaces · 31/05/2011 18:06

Right, I am back on it. Will catch up properly later!

But today have been very good. Banana and yogurt for breakfast, fruit for snacks, tuna salad for lunch, prawns with mushrooms and broccolli for dinner.

Am determined. I know I have piled some back on - I basically spent from last Wednesday to last night indulging in everything I shouldnt. But I actually feel really good at the moment - the hormones in the Mirena are obviously agreeing with me. Wont be online much the next few days as I have to finish my 2nd square for Blondes' blanket by Friday so will be knitting - at least I cant snack when knitting!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/05/2011 18:07

im still so :) and Shock that you are doing me a square smokin xx

RatherBeOnThePiste · 31/05/2011 18:09

boxercise must really make your arms burn?! Confused

In the pics I've seen, they are all wearing gloves and punching glove things worn by someone else? Punching things does appeal in a funny way!

But maybe spinning would tone my rear
Sadly the circuits lesson in my time frame is advanced, and I am so not that! Shame cos I reckon circuits, a bit of lots of things could be the way to go

But I shall look like this Angry by the end of any class! And then I'll look like this!

OP posts:
smokinaces · 31/05/2011 18:14

2 squares Blondes, 1 silvery and 1 green (its a lovely green the lady picked too, really reminds me of gardens so very apt for your DH) I'm really proud to be a part of it, and cant wait to see it all finished and you with it xx

Piste, dont forget our lunch on the 19th - dont want you booking some spin class instead Wink

Oh and congratulations for your target weight missy!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 31/05/2011 18:18
