Welcome one, and welcome ALL to our 10th Thread, celebrating the long haul that has been central to our successful weight loss...

There is certainly lots more success to be enjoyed, so stay and weigh, there is always someone on hand for support or to give a kick up the backside as needed Grin We are good at motivating one another that's for sure!

Shouldn't we be thinking of a new thread title? We've done our slinking into summer now we are slinking on towards christmas!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 26/09/2011 22:21

Very good point GT. How about 2011 blah blah, Slinking Sylphlike through the Seasons.

What I also want to know is who is going to come to the Christmas Meet in London 26.11?! I am going with Knotty and we are even going to get hammered and stay up London! So come on B? GT? Bebe? Small? Pretty? Ghost? Would be fun!

squareheadcut · 26/09/2011 23:54

what is the LI diet?

minimammy · 27/09/2011 14:16

Hiya what are you guys following any tips for me...please.
I'll copy and paste my plight beneath :-
Hi all hope you can help, my metabolism ( and willpower) seems to have slowed to a halt!!
I am the heaviest I've ever been even when I was pregnant!!!
I have been doing slimming world and have found it good, because I've previously always done weight watchers and because I'm short I don't get many points so was hungry a lot and I feel lik I can join family meals more and just feel as long as I'm eating healthily that's good.......but.....I'm just not losing!!!!!! Week one - 6lb! w2 - 2 w-3 +1! w-w4 +2!! I go running and do Zumba and circuits but it's just not making a dint.
Even though my sister is a weight watchers leader, I just couldn't get away with the new pro points plan and wasn't losing with that suggestions or help needed please.
My OH says not to diet but then I've just had a mufin for no real reason just because he's told me not to diet @:0S
xxx

RatherBeOnThePiste · 27/09/2011 18:58

minimammy - people on here have had success with various different approached from low cal, ww, slimming world, and I'm currently doing proper low carbing. The success has been achieved by viewing it as a long term affair - we're in it for the long haul has been our mantra! And persistence works.

What about aiming for 1500 calls a day, with your exercise. Do it reliably for a month, and see what results you achieve? But stay with us, we are good at motivation!

OP posts:
minimammy · 27/09/2011 21:25

Aah thank you I defo will do need to do something before dreaded Christmas snaps!!! My hair is black where would I slot in btw? :0)

GettinTrimmer · 28/09/2011 18:57

Hi minimammy, I am doing Slimmers' World, almost 3 weeks now, first week I lost 5lb, second week I put on 0.5lb, hoping for a loss on Friday when I go to my group.

I know the leader for my group would say write absolutely everything down you eat/drink and leave it with her and she'll help.

I have problems with motivation, but keep chatting to us. Piste is exactly right with her 'long haul.' I have put on weight I lost again so I need to get the hang on maintaining weight loss. BUT we will do it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/09/2011 19:55

i do ww - when im in the mood for it - which isnt now btw lol

RatherBeOnThePiste · 29/09/2011 20:20

So one week of full ketosis and good behaviour has netted me a 4lb loss
Am really delighted but it is hard work, it takes me down to 10st 6, so very close to finishing, plus I bought a size 10 dress yesterday, so that made me so happy!

I will be out of ketosis this weekend, we have a big do every day, so it would be hopeless to try and then just be disappointed. Being in ketosis is quite a fragile affair I realise. But back on it on Monday.

Plus I'm seeing Blondes on Sunday!! And that is a very happy thought Grin

Well done Pisty!!!!! You only have 1/2 stone to lose. How do you reintroduce carbs?

I've been well behaved this week but I can't get to sw to wi today, have the dc off school & we are either going to woods or beech, not decided yet.

I thought I'd wi tomorrow on scales at home, but there is a big difference to the scales at sw.

bebeballroom · 30/09/2011 14:58

I could be 9st something and STILL not be a size 10!!! Envy damn boobs!!!! Angry

I think a few lbs might have been gained this week Sad so.... well done on your loss Piste! EnvyEnvyEnvy

Smalline · 01/10/2011 12:18

Yay 2lbs off this weekSmile

Wow great loss Piste Envy size 10 dress Envy, can't remember if I was ever a size 10, was probably in my teens, but even then I probably thought I was fatHmm, didn't appreciate my lovely figure then.

Oh and well done on your 5lb loss the other week Trimmer, I remember when I went to ww about 3 years ago, there was quite a difference between my scales and theirs, but then at home I weigh first thing in the morning with nothing onBlush, at ww was dressed and it was middle of the day so I was bound to weigh more there.

Hope you enjoyed you holiday Bebe

We are expecting to have the valuation done on Friday on the house we are buying.

bebeballroom · 01/10/2011 15:05

Well done small!! Smile

Fingers crossed for valuation!

I'm home! Feel really rough, think I'm getting a bug! Sad I ache all over, feel really sick and have upset tummy & my head is pounding and my throat feels very sore and swollen! Sad I am also shivering!! It's 26c outside!!!

Have to unload the car & go to tesco, just want to go to bed!

GettinTrimmer · 01/10/2011 20:56

Smalline well done on your 2lb loss. Good luck with house buying Smile

Bebe I hope you are feeling better soon Sad ikwym about the size 10's!

Whatever the scales say at home or sw, I am wearing some size 14 shorts I got in ASDA at the end of August, they were uncomfortably tight with too much of a big overhang. Now I am wearing them....and they are OK!! Just a little bit tight but wearable Smile Smile

I've just had a bottle of pear cider and bag of crisps and I am forcing myself to stop snacking. I want a pair of size 12 jeans at Christmas.....

RatherBeOnThePiste · 02/10/2011 06:23

Congratulations Smalline! Excellent result. Fingers crossed about the house.

Seeing Blondes today so not much dieting going on Grin

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 03/10/2011 10:26

Don't blame you Smile

I am absolutely determined to get back to where I was and beyond. I WILL do it, and then work on maintaining.

How are you all?

New thread title: Slinking into Christmas and Beyond??

Bebe I though Jason Donovan was the best on Strictly. Felt a bit sorry for Nancy, the comedy routine didn't really work. Didn't think much of Edwina.
