Welcome one, and welcome ALL to our 10th Thread, celebrating the long haul that has been central to our successful weight loss...

There is certainly lots more success to be enjoyed, so stay and weigh, there is always someone on hand for support or to give a kick up the backside as needed Grin We are good at motivating one another that's for sure!

Passes out the champagne that looks suspiciously like wine, Blondes you are only allowed ONE!

Didn't have a chance to come on hjere yesterday, but I STS. Trust me - that was an achievement GrinBlush

I'll be sending Piste's dd positive vibes.

bebejones · 04/06/2011 11:14

Well done Pretty :)

I'm feeling stressed (and a little distressed...bird saga for those on fb) have munched 1/4 tube of pringles...seriously, once you pop you can't stop! What on earth do they put in them?! Hmm Going to DN 1st birthday party later...eeek party food! :(

prettybird · 04/06/2011 13:17

I agree with you about Pringles - impossible to resist once opened.

I've just made a successful batch of tablet (after a failed attempt last week), which is really nothing but concentrated sugar. I'll allow myself one square in my dreams, I won't be able to resist having more but really it's been made for the cake Stall tomorrow. Should be able to sell it for £1 per 4 squares.

Gave the pan to ds to scrape out, so that the temptation would be taken away from me. Unfortunately, he has just brought it back to me and has not done a very good job so I'll just have to finish it off for him

Hmm
RatherBeOnThePiste · 04/06/2011 15:43

Well done on sts Pretty!
You've all done so well in the positive vibes because

Yaay!! Grin
Silver for Flo in her sculling event
And gold overall for Richmond at the London Youth Games Regatta 2011!

Have only briefly spoken to DH but she will be delighted as she was the youngest and can be in the same age category for the next 3 years... Her race was sculling (2 oars) in a mixed double which would have been good cos they never row mixed and she usually only does 4s and singles. And she knew the boy from swimming club days.

So all is good. Except For DS who is revising
But I'm in the garden again and it's lovely Grin

How's the bird in the chimney Confused?

I really want custard creams and Twiglets. Hmm

OP posts:
prettybird · 04/06/2011 18:13

Just had my (single) piece of tablet: veeery nice :) - if ever slightly too soft. But not bad for my second first successful attempt in 20 years - especially as I can no longer ask my mum for advice.

prettybird · 04/06/2011 18:13

Oh - and congratulations to Piste's very talented dd. :):)

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/06/2011 18:44

well done pretty :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 04/06/2011 19:26

Well I didn't have custard creams or Twiglets. But it was a test because the others decided they were all going to make fish finger sandwiches. Ffs.

But I didn't have one.

OP posts:
prettybird · 04/06/2011 21:36

Well, at least they didn't have Fish Fingers and Custard! Grin

RatherBeOnThePiste · 04/06/2011 21:57

Grin that reminded me to look at your Dalek cake.. Very much better than mine tbh!

I was Envy of the fish finger sandwiches although I think I should disapprove somehow?!! But I would have wanted HP sauce and there wasn't any. They all stuck ketchup in. Hmm

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 05/06/2011 00:56

RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/06/2011 11:00

Class is at lunchtime. Am worried my arms will fall off.

OP posts:
RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/06/2011 16:17

I loved boxercise! It's totally mad! And I really liked hitting those pad things, had to do skipping which I haven't done for years, good music etc. It was really only about 25 mins tops. But my arms are on fire! Bloody hell!

But different to the running. Am signing up. I think it will go from a week on Thursday.

If I had strength in my arms, I'd do thumbs up for boxercise Grin

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 05/06/2011 19:10

What a difference a day makes on the weather front. On Saturday I was lying in my garden slowly roasting. Today I was practically washed away. It's chucking it down now. And fffrrreeezzzing.

Was very good On the food front today but wanted cake.

GettinTrimmer · 06/06/2011 09:53

It's just amazing how weight goes on isn't it Blondes

I wi this morning, lost 0.5lb. I need to exercise, it makes a big difference, with exercise it would easily have been 1 or 2lb. Cans of lager didn't help over the weekend Blush

Pisty your ds needs a bomb up his backside, mine was saying the government shouldn't exist because they tell schools to set homework.

I am a bit Sad house negotiations gone pear shaped. dh was unhappy over the weekend, he does not feel 100% about the house, I don't know what's going to happen.

I will have to leave the decision up to him as if he moves and is not happy, well that's going to always be a bone of contention. He was going along with it as there is not much on the market atm and I liked it, but he saw something he liked a lot more on the internet.

His feelings were brought to a head when the executors got very unhappy about having to pay a stupid indemnity insurance and even put pressure on us via the estate agents to instruct our solicitor to stop asking for it. Then we got told by our solicitor it's needed to reassure the building society and can't proceed with the sale without it. It is £140 (maybe they thought it would be very expensive). Dh also decided to ask for a reduction in the asking price at this late stage which will really upset them Sad

It's not him who has to face our buyer at the school gate Sad

GettinTrimmer · 06/06/2011 09:58

I meant to say he's only asked for £1000 reduction as there's some electrics to do. I don't think it's unreasonable, but they are going on about what a good price we've got the house for so they will Sad

Sorry to bang on, I just have to get it out!

How is everyone else today?
