Welcome one, and welcome ALL to our 10th Thread, celebrating the long haul that has been central to our successful weight loss...

There is certainly lots more success to be enjoyed, so stay and weigh, there is always someone on hand for support or to give a kick up the backside as needed Grin We are good at motivating one another that's for sure!

Evening all.....
Thank you Slinks for birthday wishes for DS, he is 12 today and has had a lovely birthday. It started with a birthday breakfast of pancakes, then he's been with a mate to see Pirates of the Carribean, exciting times because it's a 12A and they went on their own. They are having pizza delivered by motorbike (v exciting when you are 12!) a bit later.

I was right to worry about people forgetting and being disorganised, because they did, but he had cards I got online ( good idea B) and said they were from our Japanese based cousins, and one that came all he way from a lovely Scottish slinky x

I have been bloody good today- no pancakes or pizza or birthday cake here I did take a photo of the rocky road cake and will post it later. What I'm really hoping for tomorrow is a significant step, I don't mind how much, I just want it to look significant iyswim?!

I slept this afternoon in the sun in the garden. This was fab but I now feel a bit jetlagged Grin

Good luck to Friday people!

Happy Birthday son of piste :):)

I've been good today: porage and blueberries for breakfast, with only half a glass of OJ (dh remembered), some slices of wafer thin ham and a bit of left over pork shank, 2 brazil nuts, a carrot (when I got the munchies) and that's it.

Also did the Shred this morning but didn't run as I went to see my mum and then this afternoon dh and I were waiting in for a call for the US that never happened.

Going to have tuna steak, french beans and a baked potato for supper. :)

Tomorrow, however, I will be slipping up, as we will be taking some wine to have with our picnic at Gardening Scotland, with provisions bought in the Food Hall. Blush

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/06/2011 18:26

glad ds had a nice birthday

well done for not eating any cake!!!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 02/06/2011 18:34

Fortunately the cake is quite easy for me to leave. The pizza on the other hand less so. I could so easily shove the whole thing in my gob. Blush

Well quite frankly I'm over excited now....

A while ago I had a massive clear out......
(and I'm not talking massive poo like so memorably & sadly unforgettably Blondes bragged about a long time ago, Confused I remember too asking her how she knew how much it weighed!! Blush)
......of my fatty clothes, and gave most of it to charity.

But..
I kept all the Boden tops I wore for work blah blah, and tonight I have finished selling them on ebay. People wanted my old second hand Boden tops!!
Anyway..
This mostly happened last week, but the last thing sold tonight and I have made £109.75 in total. Yaay!!

What shall I buy with my winnings??!! Exciting times. x

Oh no Blondes! Time for a poo?!

I have sts...tis a bloomin' miracle, have been SO bad & snacking alot at the beginning of the week & had a cake & junk filled weekend. Am sure it's the 6 pints of water/squash I've been drinking a day for the last 3 days that's 'saved' me from a gain! Not least because of the exercise I have got getting up to go to the loo every 10mins!! :o

Woo hoo for Ebay Piste! :) I have tonnes of stuff to sell, just haven't been arsed to get around to it! Blush Have maternity stuff to sell, and some baby bits of DDs, so won't make mega bucks...like you! Wink

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/06/2011 08:58

I don't think you should feel ashamed at all Blonde One, you had a good time in good company. It will shift quickly. No worries!

LRDTheFeministDragon · 03/06/2011 09:56

Morning everyone!

Piste I'm so glad your DS had a good birthday - pancakes, mmm!

Blondes - you'll lose it again soon, you know you will. No need to be ashamed. I have lost and gained the same seven pounds about thirty times since these threads have been going! Hmm Grin

I'm off on holiday later today (yay! not been away for years!), so I am checking to say out loud I have Very Good Intentions. Lots of swimming and walking and not too much eating .... or at least that's the aim!

Back next week, good luck with the weight loss all. Smile

Exactly - time for another seven pounder B! x

On the iphone there is an eBay selling app, it made it the easiest thing in the world, because I had been putting it off too, because I could have sold this lot this time last year. It is a bit of a faff posting it all though. Funnily enough, the last thing I sold is going to Denmark to a lady called Henriette, I have to post it today. Isn't that mad?!!!

Well done Bebe for a sts Smile
Well done Blondes for having had a good time Smile

Blush Oops. Sorry about that!

LRDTheFeministDragon · 03/06/2011 10:12

Thanks Piste! We're just going down to Cornwall for a few days - it will be lovely, I'm looking forward to it so much! I reckon I can eat lots of healthy fish and so on, and not too much crusty bread and mayo. And swim!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/06/2011 10:18

Well I am delighted because I have lost 2 pounds this week, and it has been a significant step, because the scales registered 10 stone 12. Shock I haven't been 10 stone anything in the last 15 years! Shock

So my low carby efforts reaped 5 pounds in the first week, then 3, then 3 and now 2, so 13 pounds in official total, but I had actually been going for a week before I weighed in the first time iyswim, so easily over a stone.

Its my birthday on Thursday, and we are celebrating at the weekend, so I'm going until then. But I don't feel ready to stop tbh. Not sure what I want to be, or when I'll look at my bod and think, well that's not too bad

LRDTheFeministDragon - I love Cornwall - do you do surfy stuff? My children do, and next time I have said that I will too. Which means I'd have to put a wet suit on Blush Grin

Have a lovely holiday! But do remember that holidays are not for dieting! Holidays are for FUN, when you come back is the time to think about diets, otherwise the holiday is wasted. Says the girl going to the States in the summer and will quite likely come back the size of a small continent!

We offically have the worst mouser in Britain Hmm

Cat was interested in something in her bowl, it was a little mouse. She just sat and watched it chomping her food! It was only a baby. We saw it yesterday but didn't manage to catch it, but dh caught it with a net and released it at the top of the garden. Hope we don't have any more as Poppy the cat is useless (but adorable!).

blondes completely agree with pisty, you had a great time! It will shift, you & me both can concentrate on losing a few lbs next week.

I'm not weighing in till Monday.

LRD have a great holiday!

smokin/Bebe Digressing from diet related matters - dd has a learn to knit kit, she is watching me do it (haven't knitted for over 20 years but I am managing to dredge up what to do). We are doing a little owl, she's already made a bed for it Smile Have either of you taught a 6 year old to knit? I think there must be something more suitable for her age.

I am starting a thread later on about making a paper mache moshi monster (do you visit website? toddler Jones would be too little but your older one may do it smokin).

We did a sock fish, it looks more like a whale but at least like a sea animal. I will post a pic later!

LRDTheFeministDragon · 03/06/2011 10:25

I will remember, but I think I must also try to be healthy! I don't surf - looks fun, but noooo, not for me! - but I do love to swim and go for cliff walks.

Will be thinking of you all. Grin

GettinTrimmer · 03/06/2011 10:25

Oh blimey piste, 10 stone something, well done!!!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/06/2011 11:11

Thank you lovely GT, it was a happy sight for sure!

As you all did so well with the positive vibes for DD before - please (unless you have loyalties elsewhere) send them again to my little rower for the London Youth Games tomorrow, she is rowing for Richmond, and it's at the London Regatta Centre opposite London City airport. DS and I are not going - he has other things on, and DH was surprisingly up for it Hmm [suspicious] until it dawned on me that he will be watching the planes go from the airport, rather than DD flogging her guts out!!

OP posts:
bebejones · 03/06/2011 12:18

I cannot knit... I am the worst knitter ever! (Unless it's on a machine, then I am ok!)

Lol at worst mouser ever! My two are monsters!!
