Welcome one, and welcome ALL to our 10th Thread, celebrating the long haul that has been central to our successful weight loss...

There is certainly lots more success to be enjoyed, so stay and weigh, there is always someone on hand for support or to give a kick up the backside as needed Grin We are good at motivating one another that's for sure!

Passes out the champagne that looks suspiciously like wine, Blondes you are only allowed ONE!

bang away trimmer tbh £1k isnt much but maybe you can spilt the costs 50/50?

but yes if dh isnt 100% sure about the house then dont move, unless you have to move and he will have to lump it

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/06/2011 17:00

Aw - hug for you Trim ((Hug))

Don't ever worry about banging on - you bang away girl.
sounds suspiciously rude Hmm Grin

Mr Trim has not been 100% about this house all along has he if I remember correctly? Nor your son about the garden? i agree with Blondes I think, that if you don't have to move right now, and he really isn't happy, then maybe now is the time to withdraw. If this is to be your home for a long time, and he really doesn't like it, then that could be very trying for you all, he may feel settled iyswim? Maybe as you say he was going along with it in the absence of anything else? It's late in the day, but you both need to be committed. Maybe go and see this other property? Maybe go out just the two of you, and thrash it out over a few drinkies. You both need to say what you are thinking here and be honest I reckon.

Sigh

And ouch that you have to see them at school Blush although don't, because you are buying their house, not doing them a personal favour.

the thing he has seen on the internet, is it a realistic option?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/06/2011 17:01

pisty I need a gin followed by a curry and a fourth bottle of gin

GettinTrimmer · 06/06/2011 17:15

It is a realistic option Pisty but I will need to seriously job hunt not amble along enjoying myself as a dinner lady! I am ludicrously lowly paid, and actually requires a lot of skill imo.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/06/2011 17:45

I se you've had quite a few Trim!!
Have the curry, have the gin, and maybe it will help you think straight Grin

If at all possible, I would never stretch to the max on a house buy. I just don't think it is worth it tbh.

I know there's not much money to be had in what you do, BUT, the value of what you do is priceless - to the children in your school AND to your family. It enables you to be there for your kids and earning too. It fits your family, and the school are lucky to have you!

Could you get a babysitter and go for that curry and mull it over. If he's normally easy going and is sad like that, you need to get to the bottom of it.

Yes it would be hard for the family wanting to move in, but if they are renting as you say, maybe they can hang on? And lucky that yours is so saleable, at least you are still in a strong position if that buyer falls through.

I am never moving again, its so stressful isn't it. I think you and Mr Trim need to get talking openly here..
Another hug for ((Trim))

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/06/2011 18:14

i agree not worth going the max on a house

why are you wanting to move again? bigger house? know the one you like has a smaller garden

SureSlimCanterbury · 06/06/2011 18:25

Hi All, I have enjoyed reading your posts. I had 6 stone to lose, and started last July, I have just 5lb more to lose before I hit my goal. But I know I'll do it!

Good luck to you all.

F

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/06/2011 18:29

wow, you have lost over 5 stone since july 10?

well done :)

SureSlimCanterbury · 06/06/2011 18:39

Yes -almost 6 stone in less than a year, and I've not found it hard work either. I've always battled with my weight due to having PCOS but I have found a diet that works for / with me.

I still just sometime when I catch a mirror out the corner of my eye - I think there is someone else in the house! lol

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/06/2011 18:45

SureSlimCanterbury - wow! That is an inspiring story/amount, really impressive!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/06/2011 18:45

what diet are you doing?

OP posts:
smokinaces · 06/06/2011 18:50

Piste, I'm guessing with a name like sureslimcanterbury she does some kind of weight loss programme such as the cambridge diet? I'm guessing she's googled us and spammed us.

smokinaces · 06/06/2011 18:51

Yup, just googled. She's a spammer. Will report her posts now.

Not spamming, just sharing my story

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/06/2011 19:04

it may be amazing, and i know many people who have lost 5/6/7/8+ stone doing a liquid diet

EVERYONE has put the weight on and some even more as soon as they start eating normal food again

but well done, lets hope you keep it off :)

SureSlimCanterbury · 06/06/2011 19:04

please explain - i am a fostermum, who has joined mumsnet, I foster a 12 year old boy. I have been on the sureslim diet, and lost almost 6 stone, it has changed my life. I have battled with my weight for all my adult life, due to having pcos. And I'm sharing my story with other people trying to lose wieght!!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/06/2011 19:06

sure there are threads that ask/do liquid diets, anyone is welcome on our thread :)

but we are all doing diets that involve food, whether ww/sw/calorie counting etc

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/06/2011 19:08

I think when I stop doing my low carby nonsense lark I will find it easy to put on again. I actually don't know how to stop, which sounds daft, but I'm not sure what to do next iyswim Confused

SureSlimCanterbury · 06/06/2011 19:09

It's not a liquid diet, its real, normal food. I agree my Auntie lost 7 stone with the lighterlife and has put even more back on, so quickly too!! shame she looked great, and could play with her grandchildren. She cant get down on the floor now to play. :-(

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/06/2011 19:10

real food? and you lost nearly 6 stone - then again i say well done :)

SureSlimCanterbury · 06/06/2011 19:13

yup - really. That's why i'm so pleased, for the first time EVER I feel so in control and healthy! amazing feeling! :-)

smokinaces · 06/06/2011 19:42

Sorry, but the only posts you've done on MN are on this "super weight loss plan" so I dont trust it. I've been on enough forums in my time to see people "product placing".

Well done if you have really lost this weight and are all that you say and arent just trying to sell a diet.
